If you need extra overview, be sure you hire someone as a guide. They watch out but that isn't their primary thing. They charter. Amazing crew. Visibility is always great and they recently added Shampoo,Conditioner and Defog on board the boat. As someone who always has a mask that fogs up the defog is amazing! The Walkers and crew made our trip one we will never forget. With over 20 years of dive experience this was an very special trip. These 4 dives would complete the certification for my 5 kids ages 21-13. The 13 year old celebrated her birthday on the boat after her last dive with a "cake treatment". What made the "Wetter the Better" such a welcoming boat were so many things but here are a few: - we had big waves, fast currents, challenging visibility, thermoclines and brand new divers, and yet, the experience was fantastic! Everyone was so mindful of the new divers first, so important, experience. - they found great dive sites and dropped us perfectly and retrieved us with such incredible skill. I've been on many dive boats, The Wetter the Better and it's crew are among the absolute best I've had the privilege to dive with. The crew of two did the work of 4 people while being incredibly friendly and accommodating. Allie was an amazing guide. She somehow managed to set everything up while also taking the time to get to know the divers, provide a detailed briefing, and answer all of our questions. Briefings were informative and not overbearing. We always felt that our safety was the top priority. The crew treated us like fellow divers who share a passion for the ocean rather than just tourists. I was not surprised to learn that many of the other divers onboard were returning customers. I had the pleasure of experiencing a Black Water Dive on Friday night with Walker. I was expecting it to be a routine dive, just at night. No exactly..This was a Black Water dive..a few miles out in 600+ feet of water. I was reluctant to jump in, but the Mike offered to dive with me. This was truly an amazing experience. Mike and the crew were awesome. I saw some of the most spectacular species..I am hooked. The boat was one of the best, only to be exceeded by the crew. I would recommend highly. I did a lot of research on dive charters before I picked Walkers. I have been on charters which cost exactly the same, but I could have used a bad month's commission check to buy the tiny boat in cash; thus, I came to the determination to never spend my hard earned money to be miserable. This is where I found Walkers, the boat is clean, incredibly spacious, and comfortable, this is a professional dive operators boat. In fact, Walkers was even open on Thanksgiving day, a blessing for us. Adding on to this, Walkers and their crew are also professionals in their field. They have a wealth of knowledge to share and are friendly. How friendly? Well, my wife is new to diving and sometimes is overwhelmed; thus, she was having a "moment", but this was where not only the professionalism, but the caring and understanding nature of dive guides came into play. They calmed her down, reassured her, and she then became confident to make her second dive and had an incredible time. One other thing I loved, the moment we got on the boat, the dive guide immediately helped us to analyze our tanks, she was on top of everything, unlike some other boats I've been on which did not have an analyzer or didn't bother to ask if you wanted it (yes, I know it is your responsibility, but remember, service is paramount). Snacks and drinks were offered, they even came by with fruit a few times too, which is nice, considering some people are a little shy about opening the food bin, I am not, so it is the small things the staff do which make the entire trip worthwhile. I grew up in West Palm Beach and I know it is a service based industry and know how to provide service and Walkers blew me away. My only regret was not booking sooner before the holidays to have reserved spots on his boat the entire trip. We plan on visiting Florida at least once per month, until we move back there, and each time we're going to pick Walkers for our dive charters. read more

We just did a night dive with Captain Bill, and were very pleased with the charter. Scheduling was very smooth. We had decided fairly last-minute that we wanted to do a night dive during our recent Florida dive weekend, and Captain Bill was able to quickly arrange it for us with no issues, and it turned out to be a private charter for the 4 of us. Our guide Jean was great...she did a good job of briefing us on the dive site before-hand, and managed to find us a couple of cool eels swimming around, and a massive sea turtle. (She also brought treats that her mom had made...how awesome is that?!) The boat (The Wetter The Better) was large and spacious, and had a nice dive platform for easy exits, plenty of fresh water hoses, and warm water jugs for rinsing if you were cold. I got the pleasure of diving with Walker's Dive Charter for 3 days plus a night dive. Let me say, I had excellent service! All of the dive masters on board are extremely competent and knowledgable of every dive site that we ventured to. You will not be disappointed with their service, even if you are a brand new diver, they make sure to take care of you. They have fresh pineapple and drinks after every dive and hot water (and fresh cold water) on board to rinse off after your dive! Be sure to show up an hour prior to, to fill out your boat waivers right at their dock site, and get ready for a day of fun! read more

This week the boat I was to dive on had a mechanical issue at the dock and could not depart. With only 30 minutes to find a new ride, Walker's Charters said they would put me on their boat. The whole crew loaded up my dive gear while I parked and we left on time. I drove 2 hours to go diving and would have had to return home wasting a whole day. We have been using Walker Diver Charters for over four years. I can say we have had serval great dive and the crew has been great. Thank you Michelle, Joann and Jane. However, too frequently the planned and scheduled dives have changed unexpectedly. Not always weather related. We we come to WPB to dive we have booked our trips at least one month in advance. Several times we have booked using the calendar system a deep water dive and when we arrived at the boat a new or young diver or dive class has been added to the boat and we end up on a shallow reef. Recently we booked a trip more than 30 days in advance. The day before we(8) people were to dive, we were told the boat was doubled booked. We were put on a boat that provided less than average service, didn't have enough weights for all divers, one dive guide for 13 divers of varying skill levels. There are other operators that have great reputations and all options will be considered in the future. read more
