They provided a good safety briefing and shared things about the sharks, setting the stage for an adventure. The crystal-clear water made it easy to spot a variety of sharks, including bull sharks and even a glimpse of a sand, not from a wanting distance. but safe yes. The guides were incredibly there, making sure everyone felt good and throughout the entire thing. They were nice when answering questions and pointing out interesting marine life, making the experience fun. The snorkeling gear was in an okay condition, and the boat was clean and well-maintained. It's clear that this company prioritizes both the safety of their guests and the well-being of the sharks. If you're looking for an adrenaline-pumping yet responsible way to experience Florida's marine life, look no further. Shark snorkeling with this company exceeded all expectations, leaving me with an appreciation for these magnificent creatures and a desire to return for another dive. Solid 4.5 out of 5 stars! Go during the summer months. You will see more species of sharks and the water will be warmer, our guides said you can see up to 6 different kinds. Overall great experience, especially because my friend and I missed our turn and had to move to a later group. The guides were nice and energetic and you know they were working hard; we were their last group of the day! It was more of a snorkel endeavor, and they had everyone hold onto a rope attached to the boat. One of the crew member was free diving and she got very close to the sharks and took everyone photos. Honestly wish I was certified, bc diving with sharks seems much cooler than snorkeling with them. Guess that'll b my next adventure! read more

Best adventure of my adult life...I've wanted to swim with sharks forever. I didn't expect my first time to be in open water but it was AMAZING once the rush of fear washed away after seeing these Apex predators in their domain. Our dive master Sophie was a true professional and absolute badass feeding and photographing the sharks and divers from all angles. Captain Curt was a true seaman captain type, rough and rugged but knows his fish. Overall the adventure was perfect for me. Here are the few feedback items for future divers and the reasons why I didn't give them a 5 star: 1 - The cages aren't going to be there. Not an issue for me or my buddy, but one guy in our group was very afraid when he found out there wasn't cages. Maybe other dive sessions do use cages, but the 2 boats that showed up for the 2 groups I went with were not large enough to pull a cage to sea. So be warned, you'l most likelyl be free dive snorkeling and you will be pretty safe. 2 - The pace at which the captain and diver go is a tad bit intense for first time divers. It was basically hammer to the floor out to the dive site at about 20-30 knots. Once the boat stops, it's here get dressed as fast as you can. Then jump in. Not an issue for a military man like me, but I could tell the man and girl who wanted a cage were a bit weary to go in and they ended up getting out after about 15 minutes. Needless to say, the captain and his diver are 100% professionals and know the shark life well...trust them and don't let your fears ruin the dive. I'll be back for more...I want to meet a Bull, Tiger, and Hammerhead still. See you guys in a few months. PS get the picture/video package you'll love it. read more

Amazing experience swimming with bull sharks with no cage. The Bullies are huge and extremely friendly. Up close and personal. Take the boat a bit out, find the congregation, throw in the bait box, observe their behavior before jumping in and grabbing a line. The water visibility was pretty decent and the temperature was borderline wetsuit. I would recommend buying the photo package. We had the go pro so skipped it, but the team takes some pretty clean shots. An experience of a lifetime. We will be back. read more

Hands down one of the best experiences of our lives!! We went in late February and the water was fantastic! Clear and smooth. We were out on the boat with 3 guides, a total of 5 guests. Got to our location and the sharks seemed to be waiting for us there! Guides were great with giving direction and helping with gearing up. We got in the water with snorkel gear, held on to a buoy and rope, and watched as 12-15 bull sharks approached and swam around us, getting within feet of us. An absolutely AMAZING experience -- this was a birthday gift to my husband who has always been fascinated with sharks. Prior to our excursion, we no kidding had 4 or 5 scheduling conflicts between travels and a few unexpected obligations; I emailed back and forth with the FSD team about our conflicts and we're so grateful for their assistance in making sure we were able to make our dive date. On the day we ~finally~ were able to make it out, we were given the choice of cage diving or free diving... CHOOSE TO FREE DIVE!!!!! As anxious as you might be...this is the best choice. Promise. Our guides took us onto the open ocean first thing in the morning.. [Pro tip -- bring sunscreen for the ride out & back!!!] and drove us a few miles out while briefing the group of what to expect. Our small group of six was given swim-shirts, flippers, snorkels, life jackets, and goggles and we were able to jump in! Anyone free-diving is required to spread out along a rope to control the space between us and the staff responsible for feeding. We were so excited to see no less than 20 sharks below us (only interested in their chummy meal)!! Prior to our day our, my husband and i chose to purchase the photo/video package (photos attached) and were glad we did. Great photo quality and visual memories of our trip out. I wanted to give my son an experience he would never forget for his 16th birthday, so I booked him a trip here. The communication with the company through booking and payment was very smooth. Yesterday we went out on our excursion. Captain Kisane and Janelle we're very informative in explaining everything that was going to happen, and their expectations of us while in the water. There had one more employee on the boat with us, but she did not speak with us so I can't remember her name. I can't explain why my son and I had no fear, but I think it's because we felt safe with the team we were with. When we got in the water there was already for sharks there, all bull sharks. I think at one point we had seven sharks. I heard Janelle say they were all bulls, and one Caribbean reef shark. It was AMAZING to be so close to them, and just watch them and their natural environment! It is surely something that we will never forget! If I had one complaint, it was that I was told we would be provided wetsuits on board. They gave us t-shirts and gloves to wear instead. My son and I were absolutely freezing because we had a little bit of a cold snap, and the air was 73. But other than that, the trip was perfect. I paid extra to have the pictures and video of our trip, but I won't be getting those for a week. I can't wait to see what they captured. Here are a couple underwater photos I took with my camera. As a birthday gift to me, my husband booked us a charter with Florida Shark Diving. Our boat left at 11am on a Saturday in December. This was to be the prime time of year to swim with the top shark predators in Florida. We headed out on a choppy and high swell day but the temperatures were great! !!Note!! Bring your rashguard, wetsuit or other dive top as well as any gear you may have. They provide long sleeve thin tech shirts, gloves, masks, snorkels, and fins but we opted to bring our own. This allowed us to get suited to faster and in the water first. We ended up swimming with 11 bull sharks and it was amazing! They came right next to you. Never in your face and the chum is never near you. I highly recommend Capt John and Deanna for your crew! They were great! read more

My husband and I have dove with sharks before but this experience with sharks in the Atlantic Ocean was top on my list of things to do! Open water- we decided to snorkel. If you have never snorkeled, practice before you go as learning how to breathe through snorkel in rolling seas can be a little tricky. It was flat the day we went so very easy to snorkel and to get on and off boat. Great crew, Dïana and Captain John! So friendly and knowledgeable of the sharks. Gave us really good tips and allowed us lots of time in the water with the sharks. They were a very chill crew. We were definitely comfortable with them. We had reef, sand and silky sharks. I can say that my new favorite shark is the silky. She was so beautiful! So graceful. This is a MUST DO if you are heading to FL. We were in Orlando and it took us 2 hours 15 minutes to get there. Just like everybody else, this experience was an absolute dream! I just want to take a second to brag on Sophia because she was the absolute sweetest and did an amazing job at informing us of what was going on. She would pop up above water every now and then and let us know what shark was what species, and let us know how much time we had left. She took wonderful pictures and had such a high energy that you couldn't help but smile while talking to her. She made the trip even more special. Also, a huge thank you to Capt. Curtis as well! It was raining and had the potential to storm, however he stayed on board to watch the radar and make sure we were safe the whole time. Also, I had never snorkeled before so I got very overwhelmed as soon as I first got in the water. He was so kind and patient because I had to get back on the boat on two separate occasions during our dive because I started to freak out (which was no one's fault except mine and the rough water due to weather). He let me sit on board and he talked me through it and told me what a great job we all were doing. Honestly the sharks are amazing and a once in a lifetime thing, but the staff is so wonderful that it just makes the experience even more meaningful. One last thing: BRING CASH TO TIP YOUR CREW!!! I do not carry extra cash with me on vacation so I wasn't able to tip (and we are from Texas so I did not know tipping was customary for things like this) and I have felt horrible about it because they deserve a tip BIG TIME. WHAT. AN. EXPERIENCE! It started with good response time through email answering all my questions. I got to the boat ramp and while we were waiting for the rest of the party to show up, they answered everyone else's questions. This was an AMAZING once in a lifetime experience! We saw 15 bull sharks and a lemon shark. There's a rope to hang on to if you want to feel secure. They also have life jackets too so you don't have to worry about swimming while trying to watch. Captain Curtis and Tanner were awesome. When we arrived 30 minutes early we were greeted by Tanner who answered a bunch of questions and made us feel very welcome. Once our whole party was there we set off on the ocean to our dive spot. The boat ride out was a little choppy and the waves were huge but who doesn't like a good boat ride. When we got to the the dive spot Tanner jumped right in and told us we were gonna have a great dive with multiple Bull sharks. The visibility was also amazing and we could see the bottom of the ocean which was 140 plus feet deep. The Bull sharks were so majestic and memorizing. We were on the water for about 45 minutes. I'm a very good swimmer but the waves were huge so opted for the life vest which made my experience much easier. It is snorkeling and they do advise you to hang on to the line which I did. When we climbed back into the boat the sharks got to eat and were probably much happier. Overall amazing experience and once in a life time. It was so laid back, staff was helpful and knowledgeable and so so friendly. Even if you have never snorkeled or don't have much experience with water you could do it. The fact that this is a local business with people who are passionate about the ocean and it's wild life it makes it worth your while. The photo/video package is 200 bucks and the quality of pictures is totally worth what you are getting. I posted some of them and they are out of this world. read more

We came for my daughters birthday adventure from Indianapolis. We had such an amazing time. Capitan Austin and Deanna we great. We were informed on all safety measures and it was all so simple and laid back that we could fully enjoy the whole experience and felt completely safe and prepared. We can't express how much we appreciated all the work they do to share this amazing experience. It was easy to book. The information given the day before for checking in was simple and clear. I'm a photographer and always need to have photos of important memories. We purchased the additional photo and video package because I wanted to enjoy the experience and not worry about looking through a lens the whole time, and let me tell you I was not disappointed. I didn't know what to expect with having high expectations personally being a photographer. But for sure it is a must if you're doing the dive. It was epic. One of the most wonderful experiences of my life The two people who sent us out were really awesome and very considerate very nice and patient with me when I was scared to go in the water. My overall experience was great just one little thing that I didn't really like was that they were driving the boat way too fast and I kept hitting my collarbone on the boat the person next to me mentioned that he didn't have to drive that fast that they have been on other boats where it's been choppy and not as bad on the body. They said it wasn't necessary to drive that fast they were probably just trying to get there faster to come back after. Overall experience with Photos is pretty expensive but worth it. Don't be scared it's a freaking awesome experience definitely going to shark dive everywhere I go. read more

Absolutely AMAZING experience!!! Alex & Jordan were fantastic, explaining everything along the way, extremely informative, and were fun!!! Seeing how calm Jordan was when she was in the water was calming for us too...she moved so warmly around these creatures! Started with 5 bull sharks and eventually 3 swam off, but 2 stuck around and swam around us for the entire time we were in the water. Alex & Jordan provided everything we needed, from black rash guards, to the snorkels/masks, and fins. After the swim was over and once we'd all climbed back onto the boat, the brought up the bait crate and proceeded to feed the bull sharks, giving us a great chance to see them break the surface and eat. Literally, as good as it gets. Swimming with sharks has been on my "bucket list" for a while. Florida Shark Diving exceeded my expectations in every way. The day was PERFECT. It was cloudless with great underwater visibility. You head about an hour out into the ocean before the swim. You spend about an hour in the water before heading back. On my trip, we saw Lemon, Reef, Black Tips, and Bull Sharks. Get a decent underwater camera because you will want these pictures and videos. I had a GoPro, but opted for the photo package, too. The experience, price, and knowledge of the crew are unmatched - I've looked into shark diving and cage diving at different locations. I strongly encourage you to check out their Instagram. The pictures are spectacular and they still don't compare to the actual dive. The Captian and First Mate were courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. I sent my friends pictures after the trip and they all want to do it. I would highly recommend and would do it again in a heartbeat. Even this review doesn't do the experience justice. Capt Curits and Connor were amazing, knowledgeable and attentive. We saw 7 Lemon sharks! Seeing a Connor swim freely and fearlessly with the sharks while taking up close pictures helped ease my fears and apprehension. While catching my breath back on the boat Capt Curtis chatted with me about his experiences with the sharks, fun facts and even joked around. The weather was cold (45 degrees, felt like 37!) but the water, choppy, but 78 degrees! They recommended we come back June/July to see more of a variety and this definitely our plan! This review is concerning the photo and video package that is available to purchase. My friend and I were there on 7/13/22. During the dive, there was one other family besides me and my friend. I would say about 95% of the photos were of the other family, who appeared to be Caucasian, and my friend and I are Hispanic. The other family got many photos and my friend and I only got a couple pictures of our backside and front area (see photos). We also did not receive not one video of us. I emailed the diver who shot the photos and she simply responded "I'm sorry you're disappointed" and told me to contact the company for a refund. I emailed Florida shark diving and they told me on Monday 8/1 I would receive a refund. It is now 8/4 and still have yet to receive the refund. During the experience, the Captain and divers were professional but now this behavior is unprofessional. The diver who shot the photos obviously didn't really care as her response indicated. They have not followed through with their claim to refund the money. It's unacceptable. Im hoping this can be resolved so that I do not have to leave this review. read more
