This restaurant was so amazing, we had to come back a second time the next day! We only had 2 days in Naples. We typically like to try a different place each time, but not after the amazing meal we had here! I ordered the Hogfish, sautéed in their fantastic lemon, butter sauce. It was perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the seasonal stone crab. We shared both and cleaned our plates! The next day we returned with a few friends and ordered the same dishes, but with the lobster bisque to start. Hands down the best lobster bisque I've ever had! I bet there's no way you could go wrong ordering from their menu. Blown away! Definitely eating here again if we come back to Naples! Visiting from out of town and looking for a casual place to get some good seafood. Yelp pointed us toward this place. There was a 30-minute wait for a table for 2 inside the restaurant at 8 pm on a Friday night, but we were seated right away when we agreed to sit outside. It was much quieter and pretty peaceful on the patio. They had propane patio heaters to keep us warm out there on a slightly chilly March evening. We had quick, friendly service. I got the fish special, which was really good, lobster bisque, which was lackluster (no pieces of lobster, was served lukewarm), and the pineapple upside-down cake, which was light and fluffy and one of the best desserts I've ever had at a restaurant. After reading various reviews, my wife and I checked out this place in January. Not surprisingly, there was a good selection of seafood. They earned the "5 Star" rating because: 1. How the prepared their meals. 2. Their friendly and very knowledgeable staff. I am always turned off when waiters "suggest" the most expensive item on the menu. First visit here. Everything lived up to expectations. Just looking for a quick bite for lunch, and that is exactly what we got! Delicious small plates were available for happy hour (which goes almost all day long!) And their selection of other fresh fish/seafood was incredible. Topped it off with key lime pie!! Heard about this place from some of the top rated places in the area and it was quickly understood why. I ordered the Shrimp Po Boy with a potato salad and my wife ordered the fish tacos. The Po Boy was absolutely amazing and thankfully it was because the potato salad just isn't like momma makes it back home. Kind of bland along with the coleslaw. The fish tacos my wife had was nothing short of extraordinary as well so this was absolutely a well worth it trip! Forgot the name of the server we had but she was extremely helpful. My husband has been trying to get me to go here for a long time, but I kept resisting. No reason for it ... I just didn't have the desire. I was WRONG and should have gone the first time he asked. We've dined at Deep Lagoon three times since December, and each time has been a culinary delight. The most recent time was right after restaurants were allowed to reopen to in-person dining. DH had his preferred fish and chips. I decided to change to the coconut shrimp with the rice pilaf. What a delicious meal! Our server was very attentive without being too hovering. Rolled into Estero Beach a few days ago. I did some research for seafood markets/restaurants after 2 previous meals that were a total failure. The worst one being Coconut Jack's. -soooo bad I sent it back which I don't do often. We know all the good & bad restaurants around Indian Shores but Naples is new to us, --so touch & go. We have a great seafood market called Caplinger's in Indy that flies in seafood daily. It's very fresh & better than anything we've had here so far. Besides that, I have an extremely sensitive taste & smell, so you can't fool me by telling me it's local. I want fresh above all. We found what we were looking for. It used to be Randy's but reopened as Deep Lagoon. So we headed out. OMG, Deep Lagoon Seafood really delivered. The first really good seafood we've had here. We went to buy fish for our dinner at home, but after purchasing our Mai Mai, Florida shrimp, & hogfish, we stayed to eat because the menu looked great. They iced our purchase & held it til we were finished. We had grouper fingers that were incredible. Tender flaky bites of goodness with guess what???? 'no' ammonia smell. -just fresh sea water smell. We also had the coconut shrimp which were full of coconut flavor & tender fresh shrimp. -and we split a big salad which was very good with fresh healthy mixed greens. Yum It's easily accessible on a lrg highway heading to Naples. The atmosphere is casual & comfortable with a full bar. Oh yeah, I need to mention our server/bartender, Sissy. Wow did she do a great job. Our long Islands were incredible & she was so helpful & kind. This is the Old Randy's Seafood Market. If you loved Randy's, you will love the Deep Lagoon. We made reservations for 6:45PM on Saturday, but we didn't need them. There were plenty of open tables and they had plenty of staff. We had Joan as our waitress. She was very attentive and informative. The food and service were both excellent. Get back here again before the word gets out and they start "packin' em in again". They started us with their multi-grain bread. It was excellent. As a matter of fact I had 3 pieces since it was so good!! I had the Captains Platter. I ordered it blackened. It consisted of shrimp, grouper and scallops. It comes with 2 sides, so I selected the cole slaw and the rice. My wife had the Coconut Shrimp with a baked sweet potato and green beans. She loved it. I had one of them as well, and it was excellent Our friend had a broiled Black Grouper with a baked sweet potato and green beans. She loved it. Everyone raved about their meals. And of course we finished our meal with Randy's Famous Key Line Pie. It was excellent, as well. We had absolutely no complaints about our experience and highly recommend this place. It is just like the original Randy's used to be. As I recall when we first went to Randy's, the outside patio was separated from the road by a row of hedges. Now they have a vine covered wall. It looked very nice. The new owners of this establishment also own the Pincher's restaurants. They saw the value in the original Randy's and kept much of it the same. read more

Deep Lagoon Seafood is our go to seafood restaurant, it was actually the first restaurant I ate at on my first visit to Naples ten years ago (Randy's then). Now that I am a resident we go there fairly regularly. The menu has remained essentially the same and is as fresh and flavorful as always, but service is exceptional and the decor has been beautifully modernised. I would proudly and confidently recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

I was at RESTUARANT last Sunday in the newly renovated Naples park location n I was very very disappointed I had an appetizer of fried calamari n it was just awful I didn't eat it but didn't want to make a fuss . Went for late lunch and given dinner menu. Since it was 3:30, asked for lunch menu but received a small typed sheet of paper with few choices. Waiter ignored us for long periods of time and gave the impression she would rather be doing anything rather than waiting on us. Brown paper boxes were used for leftovers with no separate between food. There are too many other restaurants in Naples that would be better than this place. We eat at Randy's every time we come to see family. We were sad to see it gone, but stopped in here. Bartender recognized us. We loved the spiffed up decor, the drinks were great, and they now have craft beer. Going back for lunch next day, we are sure it will be good because it is the same menu and same people. Great and unique atmosphere in this land of strip malls. Update: better than Randy's. Fish and chips features hog fish! Our food seemed to have better ingredients with familiar recipes. Terrific $14 coconut shrimp salad (5 huge, tasty shrimp with orange marmalade dipping sauce), and the $11 big bowl of clam chowder with side of Cesar was extremely satisfying. The soup was clock full of clams and delicious. Bread was super tasty. As my previous negative review didnt get the attention, i have another..i always try to give places more than enough chances.. I've been coming here since it was Randy's..Today was probably the worst experience of BOTH a server named Kelly and a poor excuse for a manager named Michael...It took 10 minutes to get 2 drinks..and over 20 minutes to get 2 cups of soup..as she clearly didnt enter the order into their POS system as we watched her punch it in after i asked where our soup was..NEVER came to the table to heck on us and brought our entrees as we were finishing our soup..There was only 1 other table in the restaurant...But the saddest part was ther response from the clueless manager who never attempted to correct the situation and told me hes. Been doing this for 30 years.. Just a clue Michael...you should always try to please the people who pay your salary.. by telling me your server had a bad day today is really not my concern ..Your business manager should hopefully read this and observe how rude you treat your customers...Maybe its time for you to find a job you actually enjoy doing...i will NEVER patronize Deep Lagoon and its new location...And neither will the people who read my reviews... read more

Was in town for the weekend for a short vacation. Decided to stop here for our last dinner before returning home and the meal was amazing. There are so many seafood options on the menu it is a seafood lovers dream. Started with the lobster bisque and crab ragoons. Lobster bisque was a little too salty but had a nice smooth consistency, ragoons were crispy and had very tasty filling. I ordered the crab cake for my entree and it came with a delicious sauce. My husband loves risotto and doesn't get a chance to enjoy it often at home. His shrimp risotto did not disappoint. I love fish but it can't be fishy tasting. I had never heard of hogfish and our server, who was also excellent, told me I would like it. So I ordered the stuffed hogfish and boy was she right! We made a reservation and the restaurant was half empty yet they show us to a table 6 feet from the kitchen door- unacceptable and a bad start to the experience. They were out of the wine I wanted and it took 20 mins to get the next bottle ordered which gives you an idea how bad the service was the remainder of the evening. My mistake was ordering the miso sea bass at $52 thinking I would be getting something special but instead got mushy fish plopped into a bowl of rice and julienned vegetables. I won't return here. Amazing oysters and all around pure deliciousness! We had a variety of dishes including the stuffed Hogfish, gumbo, lobster Mac & Cheese and Oysters Rockefeller. Everything was cooked properly and seasoned well. Our server, Delaney was terrific! Attentive and personable. Prices are reasonable for what you get!
