It was our last dinner before heading home sand we wanted a place with excellent food. Deep Lagoon did not disappoint! We started with an appetizer of conch fritters and they were excellent. My husband loves risotto and doesn't get a chance to enjoy it often at home. His shrimp risotto did not disappoint. I love fish but it can't be fishy tasting. I had never heard of hogfish and our server, who was also excellent, told me I would like it. So I ordered the stuffed hogfish and boy was she right! It came on a bed of rice and green beans and was so flaky it melted in my mouth! The only reason there are not 5 stars is I cannot give a half star and the key lime pie was just ok. We made a reservation and the restaurant was half empty yet they show us to a table 6 feet from the kitchen door- unacceptable and a bad start to the experience. They were out of the wine I wanted and it took 20 mins to get the next bottle ordered which gives you an idea how bad the service was the remainder of the evening. My mistake was ordering the miso sea bass at $52 thinking I would be getting something special but instead got mushy fish plopped into a bowl of rice and julienned vegetables. I won't return here. We eat at Deep Lagoon at least twice a month. Our favorite is the hogfish. It is incredible. Great selection of seafood, and everything we have tried has been delicious. The bartenders are super friendly, and will know you by name after only a few visits. Great place for a quick lunch, or an enjoyable dinner with family and friends. read more

Amazing oysters and all around pure deliciousness! We had a variety of dishes including the stuffed Hogfish, gumbo, lobster Mac & Cheese and Oysters Rockefeller. This was seriously mediocre and I hate mediocre food! Had the shrimp risotto- lots of shrimp, however there were diced green peppers and red peppers sprinkled on it that had to be from the freezer section- you know the peppers and onions diced and frozen in a bag?! Not great and ridiculously overpriced. Raw oysters from BC were decent. Ceviche was terrible; first off it was sweet, and uninspired. My main was the hog fish, fish and chips which was not bad. Here in Naples for a conference and was looking for a local place. Place was pretty full and we didn't ha e a reservation, but Manager seated us and proceeded to tel us about what was available and what was not, due to red tide. Was very knowledgeable and adjacent market was clean and no fishy smells. Could see market catch from table. Started with calamari and they were tasty, lightly breaded. Hubs had fried oyster platter and me Fra Diablo with shrimp/scallops. Both our dishes were plentiful and flavorful. I went for dinner with my girlfriend and her teenage kids. At first things went well as Delaney is a cheerful server, but they sat her with four tables at the same time and her service fell off. The appetizer was okay, but the entrees came out cold, or not piping hot and they seem to be all frozen fish and the king crab legs for $45 smelled really terrible. They were not eaten, so lesson learned. The Manager did come over and did write off the mahi which was cold. This place is a nice environment, but their service is lacking, the kitchen seems distracted and serves food that is cold. I would not rush back. Their prices are also a little steep for what you get. There is not a great price/value relationship. I also see other reviews that knock Delaney the server who goes missing! Horrible! While waiting for our appetizers to be prepared we hear one of the girls in the kitchen screech and scream "Roach!". Appetizers and soup served on dirty plates. Went to Deep Lagoon. This restaurant can't determine whether it is casual or elegant. Nicely renovated with table dining and linens, but still retains booths that were there when Ruby Tuesdays occupied the space. Prices were moderate for Naples. Service lacking. However the food which is the main attraction has much to be desired. The blackened grouper wasn't blackened and the fish certainly did not taste like any grouper I have had in the past. The Parmesan cheese on the green beans looked and tasted like the Kraft Parmesan cheese your grammar schools cafeteria sprinkled on the Chef Boyardee canned spaghetti. A totally forgettable evening as far as food was concerned, no one in my party liked the "fresh" fish served. read more

The food was ok, but our server was terrible. We came in at 8 and you could tell she had finished the larger part of her shift and just didn't care. She brought food out that my wife and I were allergic to even though we mentioned it several times. She then disappeared and the manager had to give us our check. The stone carb claws were good. The lobster bisque is awful. If you can sit on the outdoor patio and get a better server it's not bad, but I won't be going back. read more

Just back from another great meal at Deep Lagoon. I always order the fish tacos and they never disappoint. My wife ordered the ceviche small plate and then quickly ordered a second one. I'm from out of town and was looking for a place to eat some crab. I found Deep Lagoon and am so happy I did. My parents both ordered the fish and chips with the hog fish and they absolutely loved it it was just right and hit the spot. Their locally farmed green beans a mare to die for so fresh and delicious. To top off a great meal I also ordered the pineapple upside down cake and shared it with my father, I was almost tempted to get another it was so good probably the best we have ever had. My wife had the coconut shrimp which was very good. I had mangled raw oysters (someone did a bad job of shucking) and a jumbo bloody mary with a foul looking and tasting jumbo shrimp on it. The waiter was nice enough as he could see the drink was awful so he took it off the bill. read more

The shrimp was fried but the scallops and grouper were more a thick breading. Husband got same thing but blackened. Friends got the grouper Rockefeller and salmon. Both good choices. For the high cost of this fried fish it should have had a great deal more pizazz. The waiter overcharged us on the bill even after we pointed out his obvious mistake. On a 10 day stay we went twice! The fish tacos are out of this world! I could really say that for all the menu items that were ordered while we were there. On Valentines night we did not have reservations and they got us in with no problem even though the place is always packed! The first night we ate at the bar and it was a very fun atmosphere!
