This is always a must for my teen girls when we visit the Orange Circle. They have some fun and funky vintage clothes - with a selection of new and used to choose from. Though, I'm sure they do a good inspection before cycling to the showroom, I'd suggest giving used items a really good once-over. Selling experience: The young lady was clear in explaining how they did their buying process. I had two "bridesmaid-esque" dresses (one was J. Crew), an H&M floral peplum dress, a Banana Republic dress, and two vintage Jessica McClintock (Gunne Sax) dresses. They took the vintage dresses for a cash back of about $10 or trade-in for $14. Buying experience: If you are into Anthropologie/Banana Republic/LOFT/Madewell/J.Crew, do not set your hopes high on this place. If you are lucky, you will find a few Zara pieces and maybe a pair of Paige denim, but this place seems to really only carry very young, trendy pieces. I can picture a 16 year old shopping here, but not a woman in her 20's and 30's with a 9-5 job. They say they look for current trends but I saw a tank top with clear beaded embroidery (ok, early 2000's???) and a bunch of Peter Pan collar dresses (last I heard, those were trending in 2011). I definitely would recommend giving their vintage racks a look. I found a red floral ESPIRIT dress that fit my petite frame perfectly. Customer service experience: I definitely was greeted right away when I walked in. When I was looking through the racks, I was near another worker who was organizing the clothing pieces but she did not say greet me or ask if I needed assistance with anything. Their dressing rooms also had a sign that said to "ask for assistance." I stood there for a few seconds and stared at the two young ladies having conversation behind the register. They finally saw me and said,"Oh just go right on in." Then they immediately continued their conversation. Okay.... Then as I was in my own dressing room, I overheard one of the workers asking another customer how many items she had and helped her get settled in the room. She even gave her a fitting room number tag, which I did not have. Their store was not busy at all (it was literally just me and the other customer). If am bored out of my mind and in the area, I wouldn't mind looking through, but I definitely would not go out of my way to come here. read more

I've shopped at Deelux before but never sold and my experience was great! The girls were super nice and it didn't take very long for them to look through my clothes. I was very happy that they took like 10 pieces of my clothes and they are definitely not as picky as Platos's Closet. They gave me a good amount of cash for my clothes, all places that buy second hand will give you around the same amount and I was happy I was able to get some money for clothes that I would've just never used. I donated the clothes they didn't take no biggie! Their pricing was pretty good some of the clothes even had half off prices! But some of the clothes were a bit expensive.. I've read some reviews complaining about parking, I parked near the Arco on Broadway. I had to cross one big street to get there took around 5 minutes. So if paying for parking is an issue walking to there from a residential area is possible. (Then again I only had one bag) I definitely will come back to sell! read more

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here! It was my first time selling, I came in as they opened and the ladies were very nice. I was only able to sell two items but nonetheless, I liked coming here. They were patient, thorough and were just kind ladies overall. The women's section is neatly displayed, I wish they had more of a shoe selection but that definitely just varies on what they get coming in. They are usually looking for trendy clothes and retro clothes, some prices were reasonable and some weren't. Never again coming to this store. First of all the lady with the Over grown orange hair was the rudest employee ever. She racially profiled me and followed me all around the store. Even made eye contact with her and the worst experience ever. I was looking through clothes and debating whether I should buy some jeans and I left one pair right next to me while I looked at the mirror and she took them. I was going to buy it but she just made the whole experience going there a nightmare. They should just fire her. She has so many bad reviews on here it doesn't shock me. I understand she might be a good person to her co-workers but she lets out her anger on customers. Customers are the reason why the store is open why treat them like shit. Went there with my daughter who wanted to sell some clothes. Wish the process was transparent. An employee told us to go look around and that she would text my daughter when they were done evaluating her bag of clothes. when we returned to the counter, the employee quickly grabbed each item they were purchasing, saying "this, this, this" and dropped the items back into their basket. In good faith, we did not count. This was a big mistake. It appeared to us that they purchased 5-6 items at most. When my daughter checked her bag after we got back into the car, she counted 9 items gone in addition to a cardigan/shawl that they did not purchase but never made it back into the bag. My daughter has pictures of the items because she had originally posted these items on an app to sell so we know which items are gone. I would like to think they made an honest mistake, but the experience has left us with a bad feeling. read more

The manager was unsupportive, and not understanding at all. I had tried to return a $40 dollar purchase. Told me "they didn't know about the stains either" & "it's my fault that I bought it." She seemed more interested in playing the power card, rather than focusing on the customer. When leaving the store the employees that worked there apologized for what had happen. They had told me they would of had no problem doing the return, that it only makes sense considering the circumstances. I ask them about their manager's decision, and why she was so quick to burn the bridge with the customer. They said she is a rude, and naturally mean person. And that's the most appropriate way I can say what they said. I've been shopping at these types of stores my whole life. There are always risk to purchasing items at these types of stores, but when you find dried blood all over your item, and they refuse to honor your return without any hesitation...... As a Shopper: I'm an in between plus size and L/XL regular girl, the selection here is meh. They do have a lot of cool mens graphic tees and a solid shoe selection. The moto jackets seem pretty good too. I would definitely shop more frequently here if I were skinnier. As a Seller: I believe they only took my jewlery. I sold a pair of earrings, 3 necklces and a pin. They told me the cash value was $20 and something cents. There was a dress that I wanted to buy for $2.50, so I wasn't sure how the trade in worked. Somehow this $2.50 dress made my cash value go down to $12??? Overall thoughts: Don't sell here if your clothing is any bigger than size Large. And next time be smart ladies!! read more

I LOVE this place! They have the cutest new, used, and vintage clothing! I've sold a few piece of clothing here and also bought a few things! Please keep in mind that even if you bring in a bag of 15 items they may only buy 2 or 3 items. Or if you're super trendy and everything is in excellent condition, they might buy EVERYTHING! Great shop! You have to do paid parking unless you park on a residential street nearby. Lots of band shirts and cute sweaters and dresses. Also they have a great selection of jewelry and home items like mugs. Staff was friendly as well and only giving four stars because a decent amount of things were overpriced. Today was my first time visiting this small establishment. I had been looking for a vintage clothing shop for quite some time and had been told about Dee Lux by my parents. They know me too well! Everything about my visit was absolutely superb. The girls working there were very friendly. They helped me and were very happy to answer any questions that I might have had. The clothing selection was a tad bit small, but that's just because this store is new. The vintage clothing was also a bit pricey. Everything else was reasonably priced. Definitely loved this store and I have to go back soon. I only bought one t-shirt but they obviously have much more to offer. I love their stationary items and the variety of thrifted clothing and new clothing. The prices were pretty reasonable and everything there was pretty affordable compared to other stores that I have been to. I have been coming to Deelux for a couple of years when they were back in Costa Mesa. I finally had the chance to check out the Santa Ana location and I had a great shopping experience. The clothes were separated by clothing type, size, and even color. The employees were very helpful and super sweet. OKAY, I can't believe this location moved! I moved from California to Montana about a year ago and have gone back home a few times, but obviously not enough to not know that this location moved (!!!!!). I haven't even gotten to experience the awesomeness of all of the downtown santa ana promenade which I'm assuming is all done. I was going to write a review for deelux and on the original page it had said it moved so that was what brought me to this page. Let me just begin by saying, I adore Deelux. Why there hasn't been more made besides one or two I have no idea. I think they would do amazing, especially where I live now. If anyone wants to contact me about this I can jump on the bandwagon about it because demographic wise even though the population isn't as insane as California, Deelux would kill it in Montana and a ton of other states and cities. This is where I have gotten most of my clothes while living in California. It was right by my house and they buy way more than most of the Buffalo Exchanges and Crossroads in the area. They also give you more money for your items, are faster, fairer, and if they aren't buying at the time they don't advertise for it. Most of the time they can always afford to be buying because the items they buy are amazing and so they fly off the shelves. I have found so many unique items at Deelux. You could spend a day in this store I swear. Depending how intense your addiction is to sales, deals, thrifting and shopping. For me my intensity level is high so this place is a haven for me. They are clean and don't overstock their shelves. The prices are great and they also sell certain items in bulk that they get in that aren't previously owned pretty sure. These items are typically tennis shoes or just random things like that mostly. Most of the time there is such a large selection of them that you can kind of pick up on it. They are quick while going through your items so you don't end up resentful feeling like you spent your whole day just to be told that "they aren't taking anything new right now". Great clothes, but terrible system of holding clothes for you while you try on stuff. There's a 8 item limit so if you have more than 8 items you have to leave some items back on the rack. The worker left my item on the rack so I could try on the other items, but as soon as I went to go try on my last item from the holding rack, it was gone. Turns out they have sold the item to a customer that picked up the item from the rack. I was seriously beyond upset since they left the trying on area unattended and NO signs indicating that these clothes were on hold/unavailable. Unique clothes and nice employees, but careless attendance and lack of supervision over the already picked clothes. I left angrily and disappointed and now I question if I will ever come back and if I do, can I even trust that my shopping experience will be smooth? Overall, very unique boutique however the customer services is rather poor. I took in several item and came back 2 hours later to find that they had "passed" on all the clothes however when I opened the bad, nothing had been touched or even unfolded. I would give this zero stars if I could. My first visit is my last. I came in and read the rules about selling like I always do. After I drop off my stuff, I asked if they needed my phone number so I can go run some errands and they told me no drop offs , I would have to stick around the store for however long. That was a brick to my face. Then as I wait around, I noticed they only took one jacket of mine and moved onto the next bag; after the second bag, they put that first jacket back and didn't take it. All in all, it was a bad experience. You have to pay for parking regardless so enjoy that, then in my opinion get scammed with 50% store credit or 35% cash. Would not be coming back here again for anything. Their merchandise isn't as appealing and this store definitely does not stand out against its competitors. read more

Looked up this place trying to find thrift/consignment shops to visit. I thought this place was going to be one of those vintage stores for older folks, with a small selection and high prices. It turned out to be more like Buffalo Exchange and Plato's Closet. They buy and sell "in" clothing. The men's section was very small and many of the t-shirts were the same or from the same brand, but I found a nice embroidered t-shirt and a unique jacket.... Both half off. Prices are a bit high but like Buffalo Exchange and clothing were in good condition. The place was clean and well organized. Given its small size, I probably wouldn't come back often but I would consider stopping by if I'm in the area. read more

Do not buy any clothes here!! Was sold a jacket with some stains on it, the manager had told me that the stains weren't set into the fabric and would come out. I used a tide stain pen to get it out, when that didn't work I took it to the dry cleaner and they told me it was BLOOD and they couldn't remove it. Went back to the store to return the items and even spoke to the manager who would not give me my money back after selling me a jacket with blood on it. Terrible customer service and disgusted with the fact that they sold me a jacket with blood on it. read more

I love their new location, the employees are super friendly and the space is bigger (although it looks like there's less clothes to look through). I've gotten some of my favorite pieces from this store (look hard for bargains!). My last visit which was only meant for selling, I got a pair of boots that I've worn almost every day since I got them last week. In terms of selling here, they are way less picky than Buffalo Exchange and Plato's Closet, AND they pay more. They bought 52 items from us for $192, compared to 64 items for $140 at Plato's. We were super happy to get rid of a lot here. Next time, we won't make the mistake of going anywhere else first and just come straight here. read more
