    Chicken Caesar Cutlet
    Brendan B.

Super hip and modern pizza place that is really living with in this time frame! They stay in their lane and do all kinds of new trendy food that is all centered around Italian tastes! I had the viral chicken Caesar cutlet sandwich which is thin chicken cutlets, lettuce, stracciatella cheese all on their fresh made focaccia bread! If you like chicken cutlet sandwiches or Caesar salads you need to run not walk to DeeDee's to try this. Their pizza is also really good, they have lots to choose from in the case and always have something unique you've probably never heard of. Staff were very friendly and happy to tell you about any menu item and provide you with suggestions! Definitely motor on over to DeeDee's to try one of their unique, modern menu items or just to grab a slice!

The pizza was very good. I got the gaba gool and the sausage pasta pizza. Hubby got garlic knots which were also good. The marinara was in a flimsy cup though and when hubby went to put the lid on, it shot out all over me. They only have one bathroom and it's both sexes. Not liking sharing space, they need a women's restroom. Maybe if their business makes more money they could add one. They have outdoor seating with umbrellas. They had a weird mural on the side. Not sure why they have a skeleton carrying pizza. Kind of creepy and it's not Halloween. Staff was very nice and made good recommendations.

I was a little eager to try this place given I heard they have a French onion pizza . They don't have much seating inside several tables outside, but obviously that would be depending on the weather. They have several premade pies to choose from slices are fairly decently price. We can always order a whole pie. If you're taking to go we decided to try a couple of different slices. I was slightly disappointed, flavor wise . Can't say that I was really wild by anything that I tried was lacking flavor so I guess you would have to really give it a try yourself to judge .

Pretty cool pizza spot I bumped into today. It was real pizza which was a relief and they had a good variety of pre made specialty slices. I had the chicken bacon ranch which was pretty on point. Super dope service and customer engagement, which was a nice plus. I'd def return and suggest this spot to others.

    Dee's garlic knots - a big NOT

Quite confused about the 4.5 stars for this place. We ordered takeout: a cheese pizza, penne alla vodka with grilled chicken, salad, and garlic knots. The pizza was, simply put, inedible. It was cold, like cardboard, and overly saucy. The garlic knots were made with a dough that I've never seen before and didn't have any particular taste. The salad - while it has nice legumes, tomatoes, and carrots, etc was drenched with way too much dressing taking away any health aspects of a salad and making it inedible. The only dish that was somewhat enjoyed was the penne all vodka. We had to share among the three of us. The focaccia bread had potential but was overbaked and very hard. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you eat there and hope that the food is actually somewhat average.

    Garlic knots Eggplant parm pizza

DeeDee's makes me so happy. It's this whole pizza vibe. The eggplant parm pizza is truly inspired. It's hard to be unique in the pizza biz but almost everything is just that, different. We stop by every other week. The staff knows us well and there is a loyalty program.

Came because the reviews are pretty good here. Ordered a pep hot honey square pie with one side just cheese and without hot honey. We also ordered some wings. Food was good and service was awesome. Small place. Most people looked to be picking up their orders. Pizza reheated well. If you're in the area, it's worth the visit.

Update 2026: Deedee's was excellent the first couple times after opening- really good (see my original review below). Then it really started to go downhill. My sense is they have a great menu and ingredients but trouble with quality control and inconsistency. Recent pizzas I've gotten have been burnt, over sauced, just sloppily made in general. Also I was very excited to try their chicken cutlets, unfortunately they were way overcooked and not good. So suffice it to say it's hit or miss. For what's it's worth they are very nice and Jackie did respond to a direct complaint I had but they just keep doing the same stuff. A bummer as I was happy to have this new business in town.

Was STARVING and came here on a whim. Ordered two slices of Pepperoni Hot Honey and a slice of the Gabbagol, with a side of friend garlic knots. Was so full off the PHH slices that I didnt even get to try the Gabbagol or Garlic knots, but what I had was SO GOOD. Very well seasoned, cooked to perfection and not at all dried out like a lot of pizza places are. I will def be back!!

8/28/25 - We pre-gamed at a place called DeeDees Pizza in Highland Park, NJ. It had great ratings and reviews and it was a few minutes from the stadium so I figured why not? DeeDees is a college town, quirky little pizza shop which I'm sure does wonderful business as soon as the bars close. I tried a plain slice and a Margherita slice. Both appear to be of the neopolitan pie variety but a bit thinner. The edge crust on each was crunchy yet moist and chewy ---just my style. The plain slice wasn't limp at all but you notice on first bite that there's more happening on this than just mozzarella. They definitely mix in a different cheese. I don't know what but I suspect it's either Asiago, Romano, Parmesian or even a mild Provolone. When you look at it, you can't see it. But you can taste it. It's not at all overpowering but it's evident. And it's not a bad thing, but it is surprising. The Margherita slice was so tasty. The sauce is excellent and the only cheese here is fresh mozzarella. The slice has a very pleasant basil taste as well. The drawback on this slice is it's completely limp. You need to keep your plate underneath it or you will lose all your tasty toppings. I was leaning towards a C+ grade but we had 4 slices total and two large Arizona ice teas and the total bill was 18 bucks. So they are getting a bump up. Overall Rating: B-

    Buffalo 6 Wings

It took too long, but we finally made the 5 minute walk from our home to DeeDee's. I'm glad we did! We were greeted warmly by the staff and a yummy display of various pizzas available by the slice. There is a small seating area inside with much more tables outside (perfect for a nice day). We ordered a square pizza--half cheese and half pepperoni. It was a focaccia style dough, and although it was slightly over saturated with olive oil, it packed a nice crunch and solid flavor. The pepperoni cups were good quality and enhanced the flavor experience. We also ordered some buffalo wings. They were okay--lots of meat, which was good, but not an adequate amount of sauce to match. I'm glad we're so close by and look forward to trying some of their other options and maybe a sandwich, as well!

    No flop!! ;-D

Nicely well done pizza. No flop is mega impressive! Very satisfying! First time ordering and won't be the last. Love its super close too. Worth going there next time.

We've been waiting for Deedee's Pizza to open up for a long time. My wife and I have been looking for a good pizza spot around and since Fatto Americano closed in New Brunswick we have not really a place that scratches that itch. Today with high hopes my wife decided to get lunch from Deedee's. I figured she knows that I like so I trusted her to make the decision for me on what slices to grab. It is around the corner from our house so she was back shortly with a pizza box that I was excited to see what was inside. She had gotten a hot honey pepperoni pizza that I tried to bite of that I thought was pretty good. However, for myself she got me a buffalo chicken slice and a slice of the caccio e pepe. First, the buffalo chicken slice was probably the best buffalo chicken slice I've ever had. In addition to the buffalo sauce and the chicken, there was also pieces of celery and blue cheese. Some people might not be into this. However, I absolutely love blue cheese and having the blue cheese on the buffalo chicken pizza really took it to another level. As for the second slice, it was creamy, it was cheesy. It was a square pizza so it had a nice thick crust. I don't know how you wouldn't enjoy it. All in all, I think we found our new pizza spot after a long shortage of good pizza locally. Having grown up in North Jersey surrounded by very good pizza spots, I felt like this was something missing for my life and Deedee's has filled that void. If you're in town or any of the neighboring towns, you really owe it to yourself to check out this pizza place. And if you're driving through, it's definitely worth a stop.

Unfortunately, the team was way too behind to meet customer orders, and as a result there was more chaos than is needed at a salad place. It seemed like the team fell rapidly behind between online and in person orders with most customers waiting 30mins+ during lunch. Given that this was a work day, there seemed to be a lot of frustration around the whole place -especially with people needing to rush back to work. My real disappointment though was the food. I ordered the fit and fueled, and the restaurant forgot the romaine. The entire dish was also scarce on all ingredients except for the shredded carrots and quinoa. There were a few tomatoes, feta, cucumbers, and bits of chicken scattered about, making the dish overall just carrots and quinoa. While I initially chose to dine in, I soon had to switch to takeout given the time it took to get my meal. However, between the yelling of customers and team and overall chaos of the place, dining in did not seem as relaxing as I first thought it would be. I did hear this place is still only a couple months old, so if I were more local Id wait a bit for operations to smoothen out before giving it another shot, but wouldn't discount it entirely based on my one experience.

I went ahead and ordered the House Special Poke , it had tuna, shrimp, salmon, assorted veggies, ginger, and crispy onions (and of course the rice) . Although the digital ordering system didn't allow for any topping swaps or add ons, there is a comment section at the end of the purchase. To drink, there are tons of fun options like bubble teas and milk teas where you can adjust the sweetness and choose your preferred boba. The real star of the show is the steamed shrimp dumplings. You get eight pieces per order, which is very generous since they are stuffed with shrimp paste and served with a light, sweet dipping sauce. The service is excellent; the staff is happy to provide containers for leftovers, and there is a convenient self-service station for water, silverware, and napkins. Unfortunately, I was highly disappointed. I know things changed since the previous owner (older Greek man) no longer owned it. He used to stop by the tables and chat with customers and we noticed that the portions had become smaller. This time we came for lunch on a Sunday. Place was kind of empty, with the exception of 2 large tables. We ordered Saganaki and were informed by waitress that they no longer flambéd it table side. We still ordered and it was good although not melted like we remembered. Husband only ordered the lemon soup, which he said was good. My daughter and I both ordered beef and lamb gyros, I ordered it with Greek fries (with the Greek cheese over them) and my daughter ordered hers with lemon potatoes. Both gyros came dry, in hard shaved pieces and I barely ate my fries as they were worse than fast food fries and not the traditional Greek cheese over them. The tzatziki was good, however, my daughter's had a hair in it. The worse part was that when we brought it to the waitresses attention, she was not apologetic or surprised. She just said she would bring a new one. This was unacceptable. To make matters worse, I went to their store next door to get the cheese I could fry at home and their custard dessert; they had neither. What a disappointment to the entire experience.
