We finally had the opportunity to try Krispy Pizza, and it definitely did not disappoint! We ordered a round pie made half pepperoni and half cheese, and every slice was packed with flavor. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside while still soft and chewy on the inside. The sauce had a great balance of sweetness and tang, and the cheese was melted to perfection. What really stood out was the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail. The pepperoni had just the right amount of spice, and even the plain cheese side was incredibly flavorful. You can tell they take pride in what they serve. If you're looking for great pizza with fresh ingredients, a crispy crust, and authentic flavor, Krispy Pizza is definitely worth a visit. Pizza is my favorite hot food so I'm excited that this spot is on College Ave. they had a wide variety of pizza and they also make other foods (haven't tried them yet, just the pepperoni roll). The pizza has a good crust on it. It's the closest you're getting to a NY slice in the area. On this particular day I grabbed some plain slices but the margarita pizza and pepperoni are also really good. It's a little greasy so I let it drain a bit before enjoying. Yeah, you're going to pay 20 bucks for a pie, but it is so worth it! The ingredients seem to be top notch and the taste... YUM! I've been a Krispy Pizza Customer for over 3 years, and after today's experience I will no longer order from them. I walked into this location and as soon as I walk in, one of the employees is on the phone at the front counter, joking and trying to make an appointment with his barber. He's on the phone for at least 30 seconds before he even acknowledges me. I notice that there are only 2 stale pies at the counter. Once he gets off the phone, I walk up to him and tell him my order number and name, thinking that my pizza might just be under the counter or in the back, because I did not see it where they normally hold pick up orders. He immediately says, "Yeah, we don't have either of those slices." I placed my order 20 minutes before I went to go and pick it up, and not at any point did they call me to tell me that they didn't have any of those pizzas. Normally, they call and tell me if they don't have one of the slices that I've ordered, and I'm able to choose from other slices that they have available. But instead of calling me to tell me that they don't have my order, I walk into this location and see this guy on a personal phone call. He was very nice, but he tried to offer me the stale grandma, plain and margherita slices. I told him that I just wanted to cancel my order at that point and he was understanding and actually very nice. However, this other employee walked out from the back room, and is digging into his nose with a tissue for about a minute. They both don't have masks on, and I already knew that I did not want to eat anything from this location after seeing that. The employee who came out of the back, looked at the order and said to the other employee (who I first spoke to), you saw that this order was placed at 7:04, and didn't call to say that we didn't have these slices? The guy shrugged and didn't say anything. The employee from the back then turned to me, while still playing with his nose, and asked me if I didn't want the stale slices, in exchange for the premium slices that I paid for. I said no, and he said that he'd make a whole pie of one of the slices that I ordered and give me a slice from it. He never asked me which slice I preferred, because I ordered two different slices. He murmured that he'd make the easier pie. It may be the easiest, but it wasn't the slice that I favored, and he did not even care to ask me what I wanted. I simply just wanted to cancel my order, there's no harm in that because it wasn't there, and they wouldn't have to be forced to do extra work. I had no problem up until that point, I just wanted to leave and go back home. And I said, "No that's fine." His response was, "Why?! You can't wait 12 minutes??" No. I did not what to wait another 12 minutes. If I wanted to wait, I never would've placed my order online, I would've just gone in and placed my order. I'm not sure if he made an assumption and thought that I was a college student and deserved less respect. But I have other things to do with my time, it's not like I walked down the street or came down from my dorm to pick up this order. And even then that is ridiculous, any customer deserves the same respect. So no, I'm not waiting an extra 12 minutes. I already DROVE 20 minutes out of my way for this non existent order. I was very respectful the entire time, and I was adamant about not wanting the order anymore. And they just kept fighting me and wanted me to accept anything from them. If I want to cancel my order, just let me cancel it. I never would've written this review if the 2nd employee wasn't being rude to me. I said nothing about them not wearing masks, because it's their choice and I can not force them to wear one. But I also have a right to not want to eat anything from them. They voided they order and refunded me my money before I left. But the guy who came out of the back seemed to have an attitude the entire time. It was an unpleasant experience, and I won't be visiting this location again, even though it is the closest to my house. I'd rather drive 40 minutes out of my way to go to the Old Bridge or Jersey City locations, because there's always a problem at this location. read more

It was only fitting that when I had to travel through New Brunswick right around lunchtime, I would come here and order the two most interesting flavors I could find: half cheesesteak, half chicken ranchero. Cheesesteak pizza: This. Is. Cheesesteak. Way better than I envisioned a cheesesteak pizza could possibly be. I even had it cold and it was still tasty, which of course is the ultimate test of a good pizza. 5/5 would order every time. Chicken ranchero: Interesting, unusual, definitely pizza. Sorta like a loaded dirty fries with pizza crust replacing the fry base. This one I had a few days later as leftovers warmed to room temperature, and that was most excellent. So that's 2/2 on the "still good the next day" test. 4.5/5, not a "must have flavor" but would not turn it down any day of the week. I'm a pizza purist, but if I want something different, and my choices are this or... what else even is there? CPK? Pizza Hut's buffet? Most places don't do unusual. I'm a jersey girl and I will always rep where I'm from and I was hoping a Krispy Pizza would give the city a run for their money but nope not even close. We got a personalized large pie. Basically a trifecta pie (red, pesto and vodka sauce) topped with hot honey pepperoni. The workers there were super nice enough to accommodate our order, even if it was a bit difficult. And the pie came super pretty/instagram worthy and I initially thought wow this might be my "Prince Street" Pizza shop without traveling all the way to NYC. But honestly, everything was pretty good until we got to the dough. The sauces and pepperoni were good (not enough pepperoni though). But the dough just didn't do it for me. It didn't taste as fresh or chewy and this is super important because the dough sets it off. It didn't have that WOW factor for me, especially for someone who does not like Sicilian pizza, I'm super hard to please. Got the hawaiian pizza and pesto pizza The pesto pizza was dripping with oil, *which is to be expected* because its made from delicious authentic basil pesto. Id be worried if it wasn't. It wasn't salty at all which is what i was worried about. The hawaiian on the other hand was a bit saltier than i had imagined but was still pretty good and thats coming from someone who doesn't even like pineapples on her pizzas. Overall, a healthy amount of cheese on each pizza and that crusts were delicious. They weren't thin little pieces of tiasue paper with sauce on it..it was a substantial, baked crust. BBQ was a little underwhelming. I guess I was hoping for more sauce. But the Palermo was . It was doughy but not so much that it was undercooked, really great texture consider it also has the crispy (or "Krispy") bottom. The sauce and caramelized onions were also real nice on top. On a hungry lazy night krispy pizza always saves the day. The pizza is good, nice crust. The garlic knots are nice and oily not dry like most places and the tomato sauce taste homemade. My favorite dish is the penne vodka with chicken. Huge portion big enough to maybe feed 2-3 people. Wish however that the prices online and when you call over the phone were the same. Definitely recommend ordering online. The oil and garlic noddles suck. It was very watery almost as it was pasta water with garlic and oil and under seasoned. The place is a decent size given that it probably gets super packed at times, okay seating, really unique selection of pizza types, and the dudes behind the counter aren't bad looking ; ] I ordered a slice of veggie pizza (gotta be 'semi' healthy) and a slice of regular. The service is quick efficient and easy. Pizza is a little greasy but what pizza isn't? Just dab it with some napkins, though I imagine a really good drunk food. The veggies slice was delicious and the regular slice was well cheese and dough. I think I liked the veggies because the entire thing was covered with veggies---different kinds. Truthfully, I don't love every pizza from Krispy but, for me, the GRADMA PIE is undeniably delicious. I literally would want to eat the whole pie myself if I could. The dough is perfectly crunchy on the bottom and a tiny bit soft in the middle. The sauce and cheese ratio is on point with a scattering of fresh basil...my mouth waters just thinking about it.
