8/17/25 - Full disclosure: my intentions were to review the pizza and chicken parm from Rustoni's Pizza in Sayreville yesterday. But my issue was the generosity of the portions and the kind way we were treated by the staff. We placed our order and before sitting down, Andrew and I were admiring the slices in the showcase. Andrew commented how good the Margherita Pizza looked while I was probably drooling over the Drunken Grandma slices. We sat down to wait for our order and the manager called us over to pick up two slices of each to sample! He absolutely wouldn't take no for an answer. And those slices were spectacular! I didn't take pics because we were in the lobby and it would have seemed weird but we are definitely going back for a full pie of each. So, the chicken parm came with a side salad that was enormous. It would have satisfied Elaine and her search for The Big Salad I had a slice of plain so I could review it and realized there was no way I could eat the chicken parm. So that went into the fridge for Monday's lunch. The plain pizza (neopolitan style) can stand up to anything in this area and probably even places in Staten Island and Brooklyn. The sauce is so savory and the plentiful cheese meets my premium requirements. I don't want to call the crust the star here but it's definitely in top billing with the cheese and sauce. It's crispy outside and chewy and substantial inside with a great pizza dough flavor. I believe they may rub it with olive oil because it's not dry at all. And because of how substantial it is, there is no limpness at all. The chicken parm is as good as any in this area. Great breading, great sauce and more of that premium mozzarella. My only knock-- and it would be nitpicking -- is two or three of the chicken bites were stringy but definitely not the entire plate. This could be a result of reheating or simply being sliced in the wrong direction. Remember kids, slicing chicken against grain adds to making it tender. Slicing with the grain, makes it stringy. So pleased with this place. And business must be good because they grabbed the next storefront in the building, busted down the wall and opened an Italian cafe that looked pretty darn good. Andrew also commented on the foot traffic being on the heavy side as well. Overall Rating: A- read more

I have only been here twice. Once to place an order over the phone and once in person to dine-in. Food is very very mediocre. I ordered a cheesesteak and two slices of pizza for $24.00. Cheesesteak was not cut all the way through. Didn't take the cheesesteak out but proceeds to cut it straight through the box with oil leaking out of it. I have had better cheesesteaks at Wawa. Save YOUR money and go somewhere else. If you are a local here, I suggest you go to Angelo's. Their pizzas are amazing and Sal is very welcoming. It was a hot day in like typical winter/spring NJ weather. I brought in two cold drinks to go in and place an order. The workers immediately were gawking at me and staring at the drinks. Then when proceeded to sit down, we were asked to take our cold drinks into our hot car or told to leave. Never as a NJ local have I ever had this issue. No wonder why no one actually comes in to eat because of these ridiculous rules for a basic pizzeria! read more

food is absolutely delicious. came here with my team and sat down for lunch. great atmosphere great service and extremely clean in here. however I was sitting down and a worker came over to my co workers and I and completely ripped us for having a reusable bottle of water. I then proceeded to order a salad for lunch. I was eating pre packed food I had for lunch and he then told me "no food in here, we sell food" in a complete rude way. Completely hawking my coworkers and I. I get it, we all have bad days. But this leaves a disgusting taste in my mouth. Picked up dinner here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Not your average pizza joint. Service was friendly and fast. So excited to see they have a beautiful cafe inside with delicious GALATO and a fabulous speciality coffee's and pastries. Definitely recommend! Strictly a take out pizzeria... This time of year ( Super Bowl week) Rustoni's sells Super Bowl T-shirts. All for a good cause. That being a kids charity. Last year I tried but they were sold out. :( This year I had better luck. If coming for lunch do try those Grandma slices. Especially fresh out of the oven. Or that chicken parmigiana sandwich. Looks like it's on a very large garlic knot. This was sinfully good. Great cheese pull also. It doesn't look like they have tables available in the back anymore. Can't say that I've seen this before in the area. They still seem to be a pretty popular place. Good for lunch or dinner and you live in the area. Prices are reasonable and service was good. Based on Penne Vodka only, the sauce has no taste, it's just pink colored water and pasta. I asked for Al dente and the penne has the mushy texture of spaghetti-o's, with the pasta unable to be forked without falling apart. I paid almost 30$ (I did ask for extra chicken) and I would have rather went to McDonald's. read more

Rustoni's is well loved by everyone at our branch. The wraps are to die for. Even just a simple chicken Caesar wrap or the chicken parm sandwhiches all come fresh and delicious. Pizza Never Disappoints! Just tried the Tiramisu And Cheesecake Pricy but generous Portions and DELICIOUS!

I went during closing time and on a Monday night during the pandemic so it's possible I didn't get the premium slices to sample. My pizza was dry without much sauce and a little sedated on flavor. Sauce that was there was a bit sweet. I do think a fresh pie would have been better, and I'm willing to try that the next time I'm the area. Customer service was great. Place was clean. Everyone wore masks. Overall, a place I would retry but definitely go for a fresh pie. read more

Place has gone downhill. Workers not supervised by owner. Ordered $43.00 worth of food for pickup. Got there only to find my order was given away to someone else. That someone else called while I was there indicating wrong meal delivered. Worker said they would go pick up my order from wrong delivery address and deliver to my house. They told person on phone they would get their next meal free. I on the other hand was not offered any compensation after waiting another 45 minutes for my new order to be prepared. Told worker I would tell owner about above ordeal, worker stated, "so tell him". No respect and very poor customer service. Will not be coming back. Plenty of other pizza joints in area to chose from, so no loss on my part. Butch, sorry to leave bad review but it is deserved. read more

I honestly have nothing bad to say. I ordered online for pickup and my order was ready when I showed up. That said, a lot of people were waiting for their food, and one old guy was super pissed at how long he thought he had to wait. Could have been quick- I wasn't with him, but that guy was MAD. Anyway, I got a half bbq ranch 1/2 hawaiian pie. Nice toppings, good flavors, crust held the slice straight... it was just everything I wanted. Sausage roll tasted great, good amount of peppers and sausage in there, nice ratios meat to crust to veg... just excellent. I didn't dip it in the gravy once, it was perfect on its own. Wife said these were the best garlic knots she's ever had. I also liked them. Full of flavor and not too greasy. The meatballs were great. Caesar salad was... well, a caesar salad. For $6, I thought it was small- feel free to skip that. Not gonna take off a star just for that though- great meal and leftovers here. read more
