    Grandma pizza

Ordered pizza from Dusal's via an app and it arrived in a timely manner. When I opened the box, I see a very good looking pizza. Nice brown crust, cheese cooked to perfection, and dollops of sauce around the pie. I want to start off by saying that the pizza wasn't bad but when I bit into my slice though, I was slightly disappointed. It didn't taste as great as it looked. One person said it was a bit too salty. That wasn't the issue for me. I felt that the sauce was a bit more on the sour side. Not that it was bad but if it had a hint of sweetness this pie would have been amazing. The crust was cooked well though. Now I know I might be nitpicking but I do hold NJ/NY pizza to a higher standard. It's not bad pizza and I'm still interested in trying out their other items. Definitely a place worth a shot if you're in the area.

This is the spot if you like doughy pizza and no crisp. I like my pizza with crisp and a great undercarriage. Therefore, I did not like this pizza at all. The grandma pizza had a good tasting tomato sauce but everything else missed the mark for me. In New Jersey, you have a lot of great spots so you have to come correct. Thus, there is high expectations and you are also competing with the great spots in NYC. Locally in Milltown, you are competing with Francisco's and Maria's but you should most likely go to pizza spots in the surrounding areas.

YOU STILL GOT IT, BABY!!! My favorite restaurant growing up in NJ, over 17 years later, is exactly as amazing as I remembered. The best shrimp parmigiana in the world. Seriously. I had the same exact meal I used to eat...salad with French dressing, shrimp parm with a side of ziti covered in delicious marinara, and that hot, crispy crust, soft inside Italian bread. I love you Dusal's. Is the chef single?

My family and I ordered takeout from Dusal's this weekend. Surprisingly, they still haven't opened up their dining room for restaurant service even though there's increased capacity for indoor dining now. We ordered two pies around 6 pm and was told it would be 25 minutes. We showed up 25 minutes later as our pies were coming out of the oven so timing was accurate. We ordered a large classic pie with pepperoni and a medium vodka pie. Both pies were pretty oily. The vodka pie was mushy in the center, making it difficult to pick up slices since everything would fall off. Felt undercooked. The pepperoni pie was okay, lots of meat. Not the best pizza I've had but also not the worst.

Dusal's is back and way better. The pizza reminds me of the original owners way back when. The new owners are so nice and truly appreciate the business. This is a must revisit for all that loved this place way back. The pizza is so good pic speaks for itself and the wings are fire.

Tonight, I decided to pull in and give it a shot. The place was packed inside. I'm not sure how word got out to the community that this place is really good. But it has. I ordered a large pepperoni pizza and a large chicken caesar salad. The pizza crust at this place is SPECTACULAR. The outer crust is crispy and crunchy and not even a little bit dry. The undercrust is also crispy and crunchy and stands up straight when you pick up the slice. The cheese is high quality. After just one bite, I understood the reason the place was so crowded. There are a lot of people working in the kitchen and they also have a sit down waitress service area that was full as well. There are plenty of wait staff running around and serving dinner. Everyone is very friendly and the gentleman behind the counter greeted me the second I walked in the door. Now for my negative criticisms and they are borderline petty. The sauce was good but it doesn't blow you away. When you have spectacular crust and high quality cheese, you would expect the sauce to be on the same playing field. It just isn't. It could probably have used a bit more seasoning. I understand that if you have a lot of staff you also have a lot of overhead. I am not opposed to paying up for high quality products but my large pepperoni pizza and chicken caesar salad cost just under $49.00 which is extremely high for this area. It's definitely worth your time to give this place a shot. But it's definitely not a place you can eat at often unless you're independently wealthy. Overall Rating: A

I'm convinced she clocks in by yelling, "I'm ready! I'm ready!" The second I found out she loves SpongeBob, everything clicked. She has SpongeBob's work ethic, Sandy's efficiency, Patrick's friendliness (but thankfully remembered our order), and she somehow survived dealing with hungry customers better than Squidward survives a Monday. If the Krusty Krab was a real restaurant, Mr. Krabs would've promoted Brooke immediately, SpongeBob would've finally had someone who could keep up with him, and Plankton would probably try to steal her instead of the Krabby Patty formula. 10/10 service. The only disappointing part was that Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy never showed up for lunch.

Lunch time on a weekday seems to be the perfect time to dine here. I enjoyed everything I ordered, from appetizer to dessert. I started with the calamari which arrived fresh and hot, crispy and lightly salted, and didn't stand a chance at our table. I ordered the ribeye "Bryan style" which tops the steak with goat cheese, lemon butter, sun-dried tomatoes, and possibly parsley. I enjoy a more marbled steak, but this was a particularly fatty cut. Overall, the flavor from the toppings really came together for a well-balanced taste, mildly salty and savory. The ribeye comes with a choice of soup or salad; I chose the Caesar salad, which was brought out prior to my entree. It's a good, crunchy salad made with real anchovies. Making sure to leave room for dessert, I ordered the peach and blackberry crostata which is an open faced tart served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I ordered it to-go, and naturally my ice cream melted before I made it home. I was mostly interested in the peaches anyway which I attacked while waiting for the check. I will just leave it up to my imagination how it would have tasted with the ice cream. Our server was great, attentive, and was available for anything we needed. I would definitely return to this location.

The interior may not say much, but the food and service speaks for itself. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. The manager was OK, but a bit businesslike instead of warm and welcoming. The main and specials menus had interesting items listed, but I was concerned about the comment on the menu that red tomato sauce is used in most dishes, since that is not my go-to choice. Before I ordered, I asked our waitress if the Pollo Saltimbocca alla Romana on the specials menus had a red sauce or a white wine sauce as listed on the menu, and was assured it was a white wine sauce. Two of us ordered that and both dishes came with a red sauce. Neither of us expected that - neither of us liked it. It was very bland. It didn't taste anything like any Saltimbocca I've ever had. My wife ordered Chicken Marsala and said it was tasteless bland Marinara sauce with button mushrooms, instead of a Marsala sauce with Marsala mushrooms. The manager came over and asked how we liked our food. When one of us said the Saltimboca was not as expected and not very good, she started arguing that it was the way the menu described it. Not a great response to an unhappy customer. Portion sizes were OK, but this dining experience was an overall disappointment. We will never repeat it. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this restaurant. It is BYOB and has off-street parking.
