This is a nice casual dine in or take out spot located near Rutgers, not too far from Rutgers Gardens. A lot of locals and students come by here, and the most popular orders are the pizzas. Each slice looks relatively big and they will heat it back up for you. There are straws, napkins, Parmesan and hot chili flakes on the side. I wish I got the pizza, but my friend and I got some pastas. You can sit anywhere, and there's also a private room in the back. I got the carbonara, and it tasted more like a stir fried noodle dish. The eggs were scrambled and the bottom of the bowl was super greasy. My friend was happy with her pesto pasta however. Ordered pizza from Dusal's via an app and it arrived in a timely manner. When I opened the box, I see a very good looking pizza. Nice brown crust, cheese cooked to perfection, and dollops of sauce around the pie. I want to start off by saying that the pizza wasn't bad but when I bit into my slice though, I was slightly disappointed. It didn't taste as great as it looked. One person said it was a bit too salty. That wasn't the issue for me. I felt that the sauce was a bit more on the sour side. Not that it was bad but if it had a hint of sweetness this pie would have been amazing. The crust was cooked well though. Now I know I might be nitpicking but I do hold NJ/NY pizza to a higher standard. It's not bad pizza and I'm still interested in trying out their other items. I use them for work lunches. What I like is that they have easy online ordering and delivery and can manage a fairly large order. The food is consistent and for pizza it's pretty good. The pizzas come hot and have a nice crust and good flavor. They have a nice grandmother pie that's pretty good. My one complaint is that sometimes the miss items when delivering larger orders. They do refund or credit but it can be a pain when ordering for a work function and you are missing sides or a specific type of pizza. read more

This is the spot if you like doughy pizza and no crisp. I like my pizza with crisp and a great undercarriage. Therefore, I did not like this pizza at all. The grandma pizza had a good tasting tomato sauce but everything else missed the mark for me. In New Jersey, you have a lot of great spots so you have to come correct. Thus, there is high expectations and you are also competing with the great spots in NYC. When we get there it took them a little while to find us a table, even though there was barely anyone there. The women that took our orders ( rudely in fact) brings us our food back. One order came back completely wrong and my food came back with a hair ( yay!) . So i ask her politely if she came exchange it and as she is walking away continues to say to her coworker " the "N-word" is now saying that his food has a hair in it" . My family and I ordered takeout from Dusal's this weekend. Surprisingly, they still haven't opened up their dining room for restaurant service even though there's increased capacity for indoor dining now. We ordered two pies around 6 pm and was told it would be 25 minutes. We showed up 25 minutes later as our pies were coming out of the oven so timing was accurate. We ordered a large classic pie with pepperoni and a medium vodka pie. Both pies were pretty oily. The vodka pie was mushy in the center, making it difficult to pick up slices since everything would fall off. Felt undercooked. The pepperoni pie was okay, lots of meat. DUSAL'S MILLTOWN HAS HIT ROCK BOTTOM... I remember a time not long ago when Dusal's Milltown was the place to go for any Italian entrees /pizza / etc... They have gone so downhill, that I'm absolutely never going to eat there again, dine-in or delivery... I think that they have a separate person who doesn't know how to COOK, making all of the delivery food... ( or at least doesn't give a shit )...Because when I've eaten in, it's a completely different ballgame... It's been going further and further downhill in this past year since Covid struck. When all other businesses are going out of their way to give it their best, to stay in business... Dusal's Milltown, doesn't seem to be that concerned... The large pie might be large to a four year old, but it looks like a small, dine-in pie to me... The pies have been continually burned on the bottom, doughey and undercooked, and soupy when they arrive... I ordered ham and cappicola sub last week, and it looked like whoever prepared the sandwich, cut the meat with a chainsaw... It was thick as a tongue... And the vegetables were not even cut... they threw like a half a tomato on top of the sandwich... It was a disaster, I called to complain for the first time ever... Got profuse apologies... And then today I ordered a large pie, and some garlic bread... The pie was atrocious, and the garlic bread was severely burned, and they just sent it out anyway... take a look at the picture! We order from here all the time, and I am a very gracious tipper when it comes to the delivery people... Alas, they're not gonna be receiving any more business from me. Had 1 regular cheese and 1 "grandmas" which looked like Sicilian but was thinner. Both were really good. Been frequenting this business since 1999 but clearly it's changed since there are new people here. Ordered the usual, pizza and bbq wings wings. The crust is entirely different, it was very hard with a very dry texture but at least it was edible. The wings had no BBQ sauce on them at all, the sauce was in a separate container and tasted nothing like the usual bbq sauce. The containers of blue cheese were rancid, inedible. The worst was the wings themselves. Clearly they had been deep fried in the same oil that calamari had been cooked in because that's exactly what they tasted like, very fishy. I would think this is a dangerous situation for anyone who has a seafood allergy so I would recommend great caution in ordering anything deep fried. Dusals used to have the best pizza around but I cannot recommend them anymore and will now be trying other locals. read more

[GRILLED CHICKEN FOCCACIA] - $7.99 - The pesto mayo goes very well with the tomato and mozzarella but can be a bit heavy and greasy with the bread (which looked like it has a good amount of butter soaked in). I would ask for the pesto mayo on the side next time. Other than that the sandwich tastes really good and is very filling. Under new ownership, Greg & Bryan, remind me of how the previous owners were, they care about the quality of food and how the patrons like it. Went back tonight, 8 of us this time, and food once again was superb! Found out that new ownership took over two months ago, and they are doing a GREAT job! Appys were great, the calamari was perfect but those two sauces (sweet and hot) were magnifico! Mixed salads were fresh, and entrees wonderful! Veal parm, veal with spinach and sundried tomatoes, chicken marsala, ravioli, linguine casanova with shrimp, broccoli rabe and tomatoes, chicken Francais, and the most glorious rigatoni with shrimp, peas, in a light cream sauce. Great place to pick up a few pies on a night when you don't want to cook. The prices are reasonable, the lead time is quick. So far, I have tried the buffali chicken pizza as well as the chicken parm and they're both a cheaper than at other places and both very good. Dusal's is my wife and my favorite pizza restaurant locally. We come here weekly for dinner - usually their excellent calamari, one of their dinner specials, and maybe a slice of pizza. After trying all the various pizza places in East Brunswick, we've come to the conclusion that Dusal's has the best, most consistent pizza in town. We prefer a thin slice with little flop and quality Mozz and sauce. It's not a sweet sauce, but more of a hearty tomato sauce. We would certainly give them the Best Pizza East Brunswick Award, if there was one. Some of the other local options are good too, but can be very inconsistent (Mancini and Gennaro's). The other huge draw for us is their incredible dinner menu and meals - DELICIOUS! Favorite Menu Items: Fried Calamari, Garlic Knots (w/sauce on side), Grilled Balsamic Chicken Salad, God Father Foccacia sandwich, Gnocchi Vodka w/Balsamic Chicken, Chicken ala Dusal's, and their meatball pizza is amazing. That God Father Foccacia sandwich is possibly the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Also the customer service is excellent. Servers Nick and Cheryl are extremely attentive and kind. I called them a week before my event explaining that needed pizza and two gluten free and dairy free dishes. Another solid 4-star pizzeria in the East Brunswick area. I grew up in East Brunswick and recently moved back from NYC after more than 15 years. Dusal's was great when I was a kid, and it's still great today, The absolute best thing at Dusal's is their grandma pie with vodka sauce. Frankly, if this was the only thing they sold, I would give them 5 stars, because this is THE BEST grandma pie in New Jersey. (Really, it's that good. Order it well done.) Dusal's also makes great Italian subs and cheesesteaks, and the pasta and chicken entrees are all a click above your typical pizza joint. I typically spread my love and money around the East Brunswick pizzeria circle, because they each seem to do one or two things better than the next guy. So it really depends on what I want to eat. But when I want a grandma pie -- this is the only place I will ever go. Mmmm nom nom. read more
