Came to Frank's Pizza to do my son's second birthday party. Overall our experience was pretty good…read more I would say they'll be so much. Very good. We'd gotten several pies and a salad. Pies I found very good value. The salad not so much. We've gotten the chicken marsala pie, a grandpa pie, a sausage and broccoli rabe, and a white pizza with broccoli. The fan favorites for our party were the chicken marsala and the grandpa pie. The guys who helped us set up was really nice, he checked on our party multiple times, they set us up with a table in the back to accommodate 12 adults and two kids. The restaurant itself is pretty roomy for a pizzeria. The back area itself is a little more a sit-down feel. As for parking, they have a shared lot about your businesses, since it's on the corner of Jason to a ShopRite parking can be harder to find, but it's not impossible. Impossible. You might have to make a couple passes or park far and walk if you're fine with that. If you're coming with with older kids or just adults shouldn't be an issue at all. The only place where this lost the star was when my wife had a call. I had to order the pizzas. She was thinking about getting a little side salad and wasn't too sure. She was up sold on a half catering tray of Caesar salad. That was really just chop from a lettuce and some croutons. She did not ask a price for it which is on her that half Caesar salad was 40 bucks. And we took the majority of it home which was basically a waste so I feel like we would have been better served getting two regular Caesar salads or one Caesar salad because we were getting four pizzas already. Another thing to be wary of especially with large parties is I'm fairly certain they did include gratuity on our party. Which would be fine if when we got the bill we got an itemized receipt. They had instead just given us a receipt with the grand total. My wife not thinking there was tip on there had tipped on it again so they got an extra generous tip from us. Either that or they mischarged us because when I went back and did the math we were either overcharged or they had added gratuity without letting us know. Despite this, it was still a good experience. My son loved her chicken marsala pizza and ate the leftover slices over the next two days afterwards. If we were in this plaza again, I wouldn't hesitate to stop back in.

Ordered pizza for takeout from here while visiting family. We got 2 pies - 1 large margarita ($23)…read moreand 1 Sicilian w/ half pepperoni ($25)- and it was more than enough for 6 adults and 1 child. We had at least 6 slides leftover between the two pies. I tried one of each. The margarita pizza was very cheesy! There was a lot of dense mozzarella - it felt disproportionate to the amount of sauce. I liked how the basil was cut and distributed evenly across the pie (I HATE when pizzerias throw a few large leaves and call it a day). The pizza could have been a bit thinner and crispier in my opinion. The Sicilian pie was similarly very cheesy / less sauce. They were generous with the pepperoni. It is a very filling slice to eat. Frank's pricing felt competitive. Not my favorite pizza but it was decent.

11/11/25 - Nice to have my daughter home for a holiday. So that can only mean one thing.... pizza…read morelunch! Today I visited Sandy's Luncheonette and Pizza in East Brunswick, NJ. I visited Sandy's years back when it was a little hole in the wall pizza shop. They have redone the entire inside and have much more than just plain slices in the showcase. I ordered a plain slice and a buffalo slice. The plain slice was pretty flavorless. It's definitely a thin slice pie. The cheese is premium and the cheese flavor overpowers the sauce and the crust. The sauce has very little flavor and it's largely because they appear to not use any Italian seasonings. The outer crust and undercarriage is crunchy but a little on the dry side. The sauce is skimpy which doesn't help with overall dry texture. The slice is definitely firm and crispy so it stands up and there's no toppings sliding off at all. The buffalo slice is a much better experience than the plain. There is an abundance of chicken, cheese, blue cheese sauce and buffalo sauce. This slice is also very thick and hearty. The outer crust is crispy but even more dry than the plain. This makes sense because when you make a pie this thick, you definitely have to cook it longer. I would say that they probably use too much blue cheese sauce and too much buffalo sauce but some would consider that nitpicking. I think a great deal of the problems here is the vastness of menu choices. The menu is comparable to diner menu. They literally have hundreds of choices. When you do that, you can probably do a lot of things well, but none exceptionally well. They even advertise on their menu that they offer all day breakfast! If they want to be considered a true leader in the local pizzeria realm, they are going to need to cut down on what's offered and focus on making great pies. Until then, they are an also-ran. Overall Rating: C+
