Cavatelli and meat sauce ordered for lunch delivery. Arrived hot, good size portion, tasty and fresh. Lots of meat in meat sauce.

I started ordering for delivery pretty regularly for the past 2 months. One time, early on, they messed up my order and delivered a calzone when I ordered a pizza, but since then, it's been fine. The delivery guys are always nice, arrives when promised. When I call, they have my address on file (I guess they can tell by the tel#?) so that's always convenient. The pizza is good, I get plain. I think it's reasonably priced and even better when you have a coupon. It still tastes good the next day too. (I would give the pizza a 4). I like their pasta, my favorite is cavatelli and meat sauce. Both the sauce and pasta taste fresh with good portion sizes and good amount of meat in the sauce. (I would give it a 5). I tried the garden side salad, it was OK. The greens were a little dry, but at least not wilted or brown. They add shaved carrots, slice of cucumber and onions. (I would give it a 3).

My brother wanted pizza and we just received a pamphlet from this place so we decided to try it. Ordered a meat stuffed pizza and Philly cheesesteak fries. It was expected to come at 8:30--which was an hour wait time as it was--but arrived at 9:15. Over an hour and a half to make and deliver a pizza?? Terrible. The pizza was good. Literally a gargantuan of meat, cheese, and crust. The fries were also delicious--the steak was flavorful and plenty, and the cheese sauce was awesome. Would stop in if I was ever in the area, but for sure will never order delivery again.

I haven't ventured into the Highland Park area in a while and a buddy told me he liked highland park pizza better than most. Take note I've started a pizza quest in the past and have gone as far as Brooklyn to try a slice of pizza. By the way, Brooklyn pizza is good. Though it will be hard to find that perfect slice i enjoyed in Manhattan close to PS19 on 14th street, I think the name was Altos?, the brooklyn pizza was worth the visit. Back to highland park, ambiance: standard pizza joint, efficient in a way that when you walk in is the order counter and behind it is the seating area, it feels a little cramped. It was lunch time and the staff was busy as people came in for a slice. I went with plain since thats where I like to start when trying a new place. My buddy says he likes their pizza because they don't skimp on the toppings, visually it looked like an average amount of topping, but I also admit other places do skimp on the toppings. My buddy also ordered calamari, though my expectations are usually low when it comes to seafood in central jersey. Taste: the plain slice was good, but it it didn't stand out compared to other pizzas I've had. The fried calamari presentation was excellent, but it was tough to eat which makes me think it was either old or overfried. I don't recommend the fried calamari. With the exception of ordering slices of pizza, take note it does take them time to fill and order. My buddy ordered a salad for takeout and it seemed to take longer than expected. A quaint place to grab a slice.

Highland Pizza was my favorite place to go when I was a kid. They had great service, great pizza and the best subs. I did not forget ZEPPOLES!!! The best staff. Experience Highland Pizza for yourselves. Update: New owners over last couple of years. Crappy service and pizza nowadays. WHO SERVES A PICKLE WITH A MEATBALL PARM? THEY DO!!! GROSS!!!!!

Want some metal with ur chicken parm from highland pizza?...yes please!

I order from here at least once a week. Pizza is good and cheap. The chicken fingers are also very good.

The worst slice I have ever eaten. It's the only pizza joint around so I understand why people go there, but the slices were cold and old.

One time I was parked out front because I forgot that they only opened after two, and the gentleman walked from across the street and unlocked the doors and turned the lights on at 2:01pm and I did not see any pizza ready. I was already crunched for time, so I did not even bother getting out of the car to ask if they had any slices ready. So it probably would not be best to go when they first open. However, I do think it's great that they stay open for late night eats. I placed my order online about 20 minutes before I arrived, but when I got there, it was not ready. The gentleman only put my slices in the oven after I told him that I placed an online order, which kind of defeated the purpose of me ordering ahead because I did not want to wait. But it did seem like he was there solo, and he very was nice. I ordered a slice of the "SPICY SALT AND PEPPA-RONI" and the "RANCH IT LIKE IT'S HOT." I would have liked more of the toppings on the "RANCH IT LIKE IT'S HOT" slice and a thicker dough. The base sauces also didn't have much of a presence. I tend to prefer my sauce on the sweeter side, or at least savory with a hint of sweet, but I could barely taste it. The crust was also a little too thin. I ordered two slices and still had room for more, whereas I'm usually full or at least more satisfied after two slices. One of the pizzas, I believe the SPICY SALT AND PEPPA-RONI, was spicy, and I was not a fan of that. I honestly just wanted a regular pepperoni slice, but went for whatever pepperoni option they had listed. I love the originality of the pizza names! When I ordered online, plain pepperoni was not listed as an option, so I just assumed they didn't have it. However, when I went in to pick up my order, I saw that they did have regular pepperoni slices available. I probably would have preferred that over the SPICY SALT AND PEPPA-RONI. Personally, I would not revisit, because I think there are better pizza options along Easton Ave.
