I have never been more disappointed with so many things in an establishment. I ordered food to go which was overpriced, small portioned, not a bit a seasoning on anything. The cashiers were extremely unfriendly and it seemed as though I was troubling them when I asked to buy more sausage since my portions were small. Stopped here on our way from South Lake Tahoe to Yosemite. Service was great, food was fast, filling and delicious. I don't remember the servers name, she was young, blonde, tattoos, big eyelashes. She was very nice and did an excellent job. I like the "smaller portion" menu section. The only thing I did not like is that nobody working in the restaurant was wearing a face mask. We stopped in to have breakfast. The appearance of the place isn't fancy or anything. We were not greeted when we walked in. The waitress seemed kind of rude. After we were told we could sit anywhere she brought us menus and took our drink order. She brought us our drinks then had taken our order. My husband ordered the steak (medium well) and eggs. I ordered the country friend steak and eggs. When we got our food everything looked okay but my husbands steak was well over cooked. I then noticed my silverware was dirty. I tried getting our waitresses attention but I never could. She never came by to ask how we were or anything. Eventually my husband got me a new fork and just dealt with his steak. Not worth it at all. Went for lunch around 1 pm-- they close at 2 so I figured it would be "quick". We weren't acknowledged walking in. I wasn't sure if it was seat yourself. We grabbed a booth with a "filmy" table. About 5 minutes later the waitress was taking the order of 8 people next to us. I looked to see if anyone else was working. Saw a cook, the owner who stayed behind the counter and a young man. Another few minutes later the same waitress brought us the tackiest, spotted flatware- and I mean "flat". Luckily I had some water & a napkin to clean this up myself. She then asked if we needed menus. I tried not to roll my eyes & just said "yes". I thought- ok, 35 minutes left on lunch, quick salad. The garden was $4.99-if you want anything more all salads jump to $10.99. I was feeling the need for a French fry instead of garlic bread. This made the waitress so nervous she went on how there's no substitutions, if I didn't get bread it would be .50 cents less for the plain salad... I thought "what??". I don't really care, all I meant was I want a side of fries, hold the bread. Hubby ordered a Cobb. Another 5 minutes passed, she asked if I wanted my salad now or wait for the meal. Confused, I asked what meal, we both ordered salads and fries on the side. Good thing I said yes, now please. My bagged salad with shriveled lettuce and crunchy beets arrived. 25 minutes left on lunch. The fries and hubby's salad came about 6 minutes later. Sorry hun, I gotta leave in 10 minutes.the Cobb was big but looked awkward on the plate. So much dressing on the side, I thought they gave him a cup of soup! He said it was "ok" but for me having to leave him there to get back to work, the $27 bucks it cost us, the waste of time and the overall experience- no thanks, been there, not going back. read more

I asked for two waffles on the side and they charged each waffle as the "waffle combo" even though I didn't receive any of the accessories of the waffle combo. The manager took off the price off one of the waffles but next time it would have been useful if they explained that before I spent 20$ on two waffles. read more

Walked in and we're greeted with a smile and told we could sit anywhere. I got the steak sandwich. It came piping hot and it was quite good. Coffee was a little weak. Nice mom and pop type place when you're just looking for a quick bite to eat. One Of The Best Avocado Bacon Cheese Burgers I've Had Everything Was Very Fresh And Wasn't Too Much Of A Wait Time

I haven't been here in a couple of years for good reason... the last visit was horrific... the fact that this place doesn't serve lunch until 1 pm when they close at 2 pm is utterly ridiculous...what does one do if they dislike breakfast food and if so if the only thing you get is bacon or hashbrowns why don't they make that a separate menu item and not a side order where 2 items cost almost ten dollars for 3 pieces of bacon and a small hashbrowns which is what my hubby had to order... ok so now that I have said that on to my breakfast... i ordered the two eggs with bacon and hashbrowns with a pancake... my pancake was raw ... which was the only reason I wanted breakfast food... my medium eggs were underdone and hashbrowns were only cooked on one side ... the service was nonexistent as we were there 40 minutes and never got refills of water ... others that came in after us were served before us ... and when i was asked how my meal was i told the waitress that my pancake was raw she said she would inform the cook but made no effort to rectify the problem by pulling it off my bill ... this lil hole in the wall was just as crappy as the 1st time we went and will never go back ... as least at burger king in the same parking lot you get your food made to order...if your local ... Valley Springs has very few choices for restaurants so Dee Dee's should really step up their game... or better yet try the Thai House... the drunken noodles are delicious... read more

12:20 pm On a Sunday. Can't get a BLT because they don't serve lunch until 1:00pm on Sundays, despite the fact that sourdough bread and bacon are currently present. I guess getting lettuce and cutting a tomato 40 minutes early would have been to much trouble? This place is a joke. read more

Little cafe tucked in the back by Mar-Val. Used to be known as Campbell's Kitchen before it changed owners. I've lived in Valley Springs my entire life and Campbell's kitchen left a bad taste in my mouth when it came to that diner. But I can confidently say that since they've changed owners and became DeeDee's Cafe that not only has the food improved incredibly but the service as well. The waitresses are friendly and interactive, they are all extremely attentive and always make sure I'm not low on coffee or drinks. The food service is just as quick. We ordered our food and not even fifteen minutes later everything we ordered was out our terrible and cook perfectly. This restaurant has completely turned around and would recommend to anyone in town or passing by. Shoot for Memorial Day weekend my family came twice in the same weekend and got the same service both times! read more

Had a wonderful breakfast/lunch, the special was Fish n Chips. Not too oily, and very flakey. The staff was on point and we didnt want for anything. All of our food came out perfect, and fresh.
