If you've worked with a lot of folks in the trades, this is very much the exception to the rule, and as such I was pleasantly surprised. Lou quickly got back to me with a very reasonable quote, and once we agreed on the details and a date, we were off and running. We had some damage and discoloration on our white oak floors, and we wanted to sand and refinish them. Lou was helpful as we got together the paperwork my building required to get it done. On the agreed upon day, his guys showed up on time, and while they weren't the excellent communicators that he is (their English wasn't great), they were conscientious and obviously knew what they were doing. Lou said the work would take 1-2 days, and they were done in just a day. We had a minor hiccup after the fact, but Lou immediately investigated the issue, and handled it well. I'll definitely be going straight to Buono's next time I need any flooring work done.

Back then I decided not to do my bedroom or my kitchen but soon came to regret it. I recently decided my bedroom floors needed to be brought up to the same standard as the rest of my apartment. I was also sick of the ugly tile floors in my kitchen. Fast forward to a week ago when John's crew worked magic to upgrade the rest of my apartment floors (see pics attached). They did the same process I described above for my bedroom and added vinyl flooring to my kitchen. I highly recommend NYC Floor Pro and of all the contractors I've used during my current renovation, I was super pleased with the professionalism all around from dealing with John to working with his crew. I greatly appreciated how considerate and pleasant the crew was and appreciated how well they cleaned up after themselves (since I had painters coming in the next day). John was also super helpful in getting me all the documents I needed to submit a comprehensive alteration agreement that was approved quickly. Unprofessional. Never called back and never responded back to my texts. For what reason I have no…read moreidea. Called this company and spoke with Berti. I had water damage to one of my room upstairs due to a radiator leak. I wasn't sure if we needed to do just the 1 room or the whole upstairs since the wood is all connected. When I had spoken to him on the phone he said there may be a slightly different color if we do just the one room. So before he came out, I asked if he can get us both quotes. He came out when I wasn't home but my wife was. He didn't measure anything. Look at the room where the damage was and left. He didn't look at the rest of the upstairs. I didn't get a message for him so I texted him. He gave me a quote for the one room. I asked, do you have a quote for how much it would be for the whole upstairs. He said he didn't look at the other room upstairs. I described the size of the other room upstairs and he texted back with a quote. I asked if you can send me in writing the 2 quotes. He said he has to charge me $150 for the quotes. Then I said, "What? Why?" He never responded. Just in case he didn't see it, I text him again the next day. He didn't respond again. Extremely disappointed with him and his lack of response.

Firstly, Lisa came to measure my living room, dining room and kitchen. I can't thank her enough for her advice along the entire project. She was professional and made me feel comfortable with her recommendations regarding the new laminate and linoleum floors I wanted. I didn't feel like she was simply trying to "sell" a product or project. The installers, gentlemen all, were professional, respectful to my needs, friendly and punctual with the scheduled appointment time. Efron and Alex did an excellent job laying down my new kitchen linoleum and left the job site spotless. Chago and Bruno also did a great job laying down the laminate flooring in my living and dining rooms. They cleaned up afterwards, left my home spotless and gladly helped me reposition a couple pieces of heavy furniture!
