The customer service was outstanding and I got the most beautiful floors, porcelain tiles that looked just like marble, on sale.

I have the typical story - rented to a good tenant (or so I thought) for yrs & yrs for her to leave…read morewithout proper notice & find out that she left the apt is horrid condition. Holes in walls, botched paint job I didn't know about, busted baseboards, rotting wood from moisture/unkept - list just went on & on. Oh & I didn't mention that my apt is in south beach but I live in NYC during covid... So something routine like this that totally couldn't been handled easily was made way more complicated when adding in an incompetent building mgmt company & general crooked contractors. I've personally been burned real bad by GCs here in NYC where there are crazy regulations so I was petrified for what was to come in Miami as far as GCs considering I wouldn't be there to at least oversee. I found Dennis on here/Yelp, reached out to get a quote & had someone let him in while he had me on the phone. I took a leap of faith & sent with him - he's now officially done & I can happily say I'm incredibly happy with the quality & integrity of the outcome. Important to note here too - I was very involved daily even though I wasn't there & he had an admin type that kept in touch with me via text & pics daily which I greatly appreciated since I WFH & don't have time to chat on phone; always on a conference call. I prefer it this way so both parties have something to reference back to & no more "I thought u said" convos. Also, they were setup w/venmo cause who the heck does things via check or cash anymore?! To me that's just downright shady not to mention inconvenient. I had a friend that ended up flying down there & staying in apt while he was working to allow easy access. the first day (of the month of work that he was there), she asked he wear a mask & did the ENTIRE TIME without her having to remind him. To me that was a huge sign of respect knowing that she was uncomfortable if he didn't even though he was hot/ sweaty/uncomfortable in it. Pics below of the before/after.

In late November, 2016, I contracted Roger at "The Grove Handyman" on Angie's List to have a…read morebathroom wall repaired following a leak in the pipes. I was quoted a good price and the appointment was arranged. The property is a unit I was preparing to rent and I was out of town, so a friend let the workers in. They were instructed to call him so he could view the work before they left. The worker called me and said the work was done. He sent me a picture after he left and after he returned the keys. He took the bathroom hardware off the wall for the repair and failed to put it back on. I contacted Roger and he informed me that the pipe for the faucet was too short. I don't know why the worker would tell me "it's all done," when it obviously wasn't. Roger said he would have to send someone else out on another day and he would have to charge me a callout fee - to complete the work his staff failed to finish. As I had a tenant moving in the next week, I had no choice. On the second appointment, a different worker said "it's all done," but he is the one person in North America with a cell phone that doesn't take photos. Roger's tone via text message after both visits was not an example of excellent customer service. He did not offer any assurance that everything was as it should be or apologize that his staff failed to complete the work properly the first time. In April, 2017, my tenant contacted the property manager to inform him that the faucet had become completely detached from the wall and pipe. The property manager left a voicemail for Roger, but he never called back. I called the next day and my call went to voicemail as well. The greeting stated that Roger would be out of town from the following day. Unfortunately, before he went out of town, he never returned my or the property manager's call. We had to hire another contractor to fix the inadequate work done by the Grove Handyman staff. I emailed Roger and explained the situation and provided him with a copy of the charges incurred to fix the faucet again as well as a photo. Roger refused to compensate me because he thought the charge of $260 was too high and because he didn't see it himself. This entire situation has been completely unacceptable. The original job was not completed. I was charged additional fees to complete the job on a second visit. The work performed was not done correctly and only lasted 4 months. And I was not compensated or refunded for having to hire another company. I strongly advise against hiring "The Grove Handyman" for any work. The company is a typical South Florida contractor that does shoddy work, doesn't communicate properly and doesn't stand behind their work.

These are clean, organized and communicative professionals. My project was small but complicated. We have an odd counter top extension that sort of hung out at a weird angle, we did not use and took up an entire room of the house (it is a small house). It was becoming a place for accumulating junk. This project required that they cut off a section of granite countertop and detach the extension from the floor. Then they trimmed the granite to a new length it so that they could reposition it with a CLEAN SEAM. It looks great and now I have more usable counter top space for cooking, the kids have a counter to sit at for breakfast and we have an extra room in the house. The big problem now is that we are arguing over the space (I want a sewing room, the kids want a desk and my husband has other plans :) Keywords: cabinets, counter, granite, marble, clean, granite cutting, diamond blade, stone, cabinet repositioning, adjusting their height, level, decorative molding, gaps between surfaces, countertop, trim, wood, metal, metallic, laminate, sealing, sealant, granite countertops, professional, efficient, innovative, collaborative, detail-oriented, zelle.
