There's not a Home Depot super close to where we live and while this shop is significantly smaller, they pack a lot in! What has always set Ace Hardware apart is the service. There's always someone around to answer my questions and point me in the right direction. From key copies to gardening soil, they've always had what I'm looking for (admittedly I'm not doing anything *too* crazy around the house). It's located in the Red Bird Shopping plaza next to Walgreens. It'd definitely be easy to find if you didn't know what you're looking for. That being said, there's always parking in the big lot!

When I mentioned that the service wasn't very helpful, the situation got worse and I was treated very disrespectfully and asked to leave the store. As a customer who was simply trying to find an item, this was very disappointing. I hope management takes customer service more seriously and reminds employees to treat customers with basic respect.

My largest item was a Selkirk DSP6MA masonry adapter that was actually shipped separately from the other items. Shipping was very fast where both packages arrived the same day. I am aware of negative reviews that I estimate are likely unjustified. I also suspect that any negative reviews by others involving claims of damaged items were likely not due to mishandling on the part of Shell. I am very willing to order from Shell again. And, if I had a concern about mishandling of my items that might occur then I would contact and request Shell increase my shipping cost by going with a different carrier solely for my order. As it turns out, I see no reason to have such concern at this time.

All their staff is friendly and helpful but also knowledgeable. Which unfortunately is rare in other home improvement stores. They have most everything you'll need and if they don't have it will help you find it. They have the best selection of wood around and on top of the complimentary popcorn while you shop they also have a food truck outside to make sure you dont leave hungry. It may be a dollar or two more than some other home improvement places around but you will leave much happier and that most times is worth the cost. Gabriel gave me a tour of the inventory and taught me about their process - all bricks are hand selected from buildings in Chicago from 1855 to 1974 when the process became too expensive to continue manufacturing. All of their bricks were exceptional and have to meet their exceptional quality standards. After seeing the product it was a no-brainer this was where my fiancé and I would be purchasing for our exterior patio & pool deck remodel! After checking out the inventory, Gabriel and I then headed to his office and he was able to provide an invoice including shipping in less than 15 minutes. (My fiancé later checked other prices online to compare and Gabriel's price was a great deal for the quality of brick we're getting.) After agreeing to the amount and sending off the invoice via email to my fiancé, Gabriel and I went to the back and he helped me pick out specific pallets for our project and to initial all of the ones I wanted. He was super helpful informing me which bricks came from the same buildings and which pallets were going to be in keeping with the overall color scheme that I wanted. To say that shopping for bricks was something that felt daunting to me was an understatement considering the size of our project and the cost, but Gabriel and his wife made the entire experience so enjoyable and memorable. Every staff knows my name, they always helping everyone.You will always get help you even little tiny things they usually have it. I called it helpful place. Always happy to see people. Think about it if you go to a very large hardware will take you over 30 minutes to find something, in that location maybe less than 10 minutes PLUS additional help.
