On the heels of a very poorly managed and executed impact glass installation project my wife and I put a lot of time and effort into finding a reliable and reputable flooring contractor. Our research brought us to a Yelp 5 star baring establishment here in Miami called Pride Flooring, a name we immediately liked, and upon meeting Joe were not disappointed. Joe was prompt, very knowledgeable and provided several options for us to choose from. Our favorite thing about Joe however was how accessible and accountable he was, something very hard to find with any type of contractor here in South Florida. He always replied to our emails within the hour, most times in under half an hour, and was always very courteous, informed and positive about our project. Again we cannot stress how important this is after our previous window project. The budget for this project was half was much as the windows however we received more than double the amount of service from Joe. As a first impression of their long standing family business, we could not have been more impressed. The flooring was ordered and received on time which lead to our project being started on time. Again something we were not accustomed too with our previous project. On the first day of installation we were delighted to have a crew of 4 on our 1000 sq/ft project. We were not expecting that at all. Even more surprising was of the 4 installers that came to our house, 3 of them were brothers and were the sons of the owner himself. Trust us when we tell you these are the kind of businesses you want to work with. Brett, Daniel, Mark and Jose were top notch. A1 grade craftsmanship and customer service. They emptied the house of the old flooring in what seemed like minutes and while that was being taken out someone else was cleaning while someone else was starting to lay out planks while the last person was already cutting them into the appropriate pieces. A total machine and work of art is the Pride Flooring installation team. Being a band of brothers like myself it was also fun to be around them for the two days I was home from work. I am 1 of 4 brothers, with our last being Daniel like theirs, so it just felt right, they were a pleasure to be around. The job was done on the second day like Joe had told me weeks before and everything was absolutely perfect. They leveled out some areas for us, dealt with some tough existing tile borders and even came up with an ingenious way to apply the planks to our two last floating treads instead of boxing them in or refinishing and trying to match which would have took longer and caused more dust...all without going over our budget. True dedication to their craft and customer service has already put them back in position to do another job for us that we are getting quotes for now. If you are within the service area of Pride Flooring and are in need of new flooring you would be doing yourself an injustice to go somewhere else. Where do I even begin to find the words to express how unbelievably grateful I am to the team at Pride Flooring? Joe, Brett, and Dan executed a FLAWLESS job in our home from the moment we walked into the store, all the way through to completion day. When my husband and I began our flooring journey, we were met with what could only be described as the typical Miami nightmare. Unreliable contractors, empty promises, and a lot of big talk with mediocre knowledge or skills. How can I make that statement with such candor? Because within 2 months we met with about 10 independent contractors, visited close to 30 stores across the city, had our floors partially installed THREE times, lost so much money, and were still at ground zero on the day we strolled into Pride Flooring. WHAT A BREATH OF FRESH AIR!!!!!!! First of all, it was so difficult to find exactly what I wanted that I originally settled for "okay" flooring. If you don't want gray, good luck finding plentiful and in stock options. When we walked in, I gasped at all of the options. There were so many I actually struggled deciding between my favorites. And as if that wasn't enough, here comes Joe with his UNBELIEVABLE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE, precisely telling us what would or wouldn't work with our subfloors just based on our descriptions. And boy was he spot on. Everything he told us in the first 10 minutes of speaking is what we learned after three failed installations where no one else was able to foresee our troubles. Now add a great personality, true professionalism, excellent service, and patience to that knowledge and that's Joe for ya! I still don't know if he truly understands how much he did for us. I was on the verge of tears nearly every night before bed, and my anxiety and stress were off the charts knowing we couldn't move into our new home months after we had closed because we couldn't get something as simple as our floors done properly. When we walked out of the store (with so many samples I didn't know how we would choose) I looked at my husband and said "This is it. I feel it!". And it was. Had a great experience working with this company. I had a small job to do: re-carpeting my staircase since I'm selling my home. I found everyone with Pride flooring to be personable, professional, and knowledgeable. They were also able to help with a few minor details on our second floor as we installed a nice wood-looking porcelain tile but didn't have T molding between the master and the bathroom and we were missing two small pieces of base board. Once we selected the carpet for the stairs, the job started within a day. *Joe came to our home and gave us a quote for the various materials we were considering. This proved to be very important bc we ended up selecting our 2nd choice since the lighting can make or break the flooring (not something most companies offer). Price is very reasonable and you know what you are getting. If you are on a budget, they can find you a type of flooring that will meet your needs. We ended up going with a laminate, distressed wood that looks absolutely perfect. Installation took one day (upstairs rooms, closets, and hallways). The installers arrived at 9:30 and quickly began removing the old laminate and carpet in the bedrooms. It was very loud and by the end, there were more than 6 installers to help compete the project. The company is very trustworthy and I would suggest you come and go rather than staying in the house. If I could I would give them 0 stars. We purchased a large order of patio tile and had an enormous amount of boxes left over. I called since it had been only 2 weeks since we purchased them to see if we could return the unused boxes and get a store credit or refund and was told the stocking fee to put back would be more than what we paid which is highly impossible since we paid a nice amount for the tile. Knowing how hard things are right now they should have had the decency to at least give us a credit. I would definitely never purchase or recomend them to anyone. After hurricane Irma and the flood damage to my penthouse townhouse I had to rip out all the wood floors. I checked Yelp and found great reviews for them.
