They are real professionals, moved the furniture from one place to the other as they polished. protected everything with paper and tape and left our place clean spotless. I am so excited with the service we got from Acropolis marble polishing that I didn't want to wait to write this review. George did an excellent job with the restoration of our marble floor and kitchen countertops. Not only he educated us about the differences between maintenance and restoration but he gave us a reasonable price for the job that was performed. We had twice in the past marble polishing companies service in our home but none has been more knowledgeable and professional than George. He worked personally from day one and with his technicians went the extra mile to make sure that all the work was meeting our expectations. They repaired some cracks in the living room with a filler that is the same color with the marble! WOW! We like having parties in our home often and due to the traffic the floor looked very dull and was full of scratches. But after the excellent work they performed the floor is perfect, bright and shiny and the kitchen countertops ready for our next gathering! We could not be more satisfied. A job well done. I hired George and his crew of guys to restore old terrazzo flooring in my home. After contacting a few companies, i chose to go with Acropolis because they could start ASAP. George explained to me the process he does and how the floor was going to shine real bright, with these diamond grinds and crystal polish. He said he was going to fill any deep holes with a color similar to the original floor. He said he was going to try to grind any stains away. BUT, he was going to be able to get around the edges because his machine won't get that close. I had thinset on top of the terrazzo and his crew removed it by grinding it down to the terrazzo before starting the restoration process. George told me that his restoration will last about 2-3 years before he would have to come back to touch up the areas more frequently used. And this seemed to be the average of a few other companies. He told me it was going to take about 3-4 days. I figured these days would be 8a-4p or 9a-5p. Apparently not. His guys were working past sundown. i thought this was a bit inconsiderate as a customer. (Most people tend to have engagements in the evening, whether its work, family, etc.) So as the days passed, i notice the holes are a darker color than the floor and his worker is coloring the hole repairs with sharpie markers (at this point i learned that its better to spend a little more and get someone that knows this trade, and does it correctly.) I ask him if there were going to be any chips added. he said no, he colors them in. After he finished polishing in the "crystal," the floors looked great. they really SHINED. i thought this was the correct way, but i didn't do my full research on restoring terrazzo floors. This is where it all goes downhill. The floors didn't last a year and a half. the shine dulled, some discoloration started forming, and the hole repairs looked HORRENDOUS (the color is nowhere near the original floor background. it stands out from the rest of the floor and is a huge eye sore). I will never recommend this company and this has been a learning experience for me when choosing contractors. He also did some tile polishing for a neighbor. She also had a negative experience with him, as the polish faded quickly. She said that she did a better job herself with items from Home Depot. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY or GEORGE TZELEPIS read more

We have a Jerusalem gold limestone tile throughout our home. It's a tricky tile to clean. It etches if any thing acidic touches the floor. George from Acropolis Marble Polishing was able to carefully remove all of the etched spots and gently clean/polish the tile. He was patient in explaining that benefits of a high shine polish versus a matte finish. We have a smaller condo, but he treated us like we were a big job. We chose a matte finish so that that our high traffic areas did not look different than the others. George and the staff that helped him that day were courteous, and very gentle when they had to move our furniture. They taped our furniture with paper to prevent splatter. Trust me, you want a company that provides this attention to detail. George also took the time to explain the best way to clean our limestone floors without damaging the tile which we found to be very helpful. read more

Today was one of our best times of this year thanks to George and his crew! I could never have thought that a like-new marble floor could have made such a difference to me and my wife's mood and that is why I decided to share it with you. Two months ago we bought a new house but the marble floor was really terrible, among others. It had so much dirt and so many stains on it -since it is a 30 years-old house- that if it wasn't marble we would have definitely replace the floor like we did with the kitchen countertops and vanity tops. After searching online for a marble restoration company we made some calls and got a couple of estimates for the job over the phone. Because we were not very happy with the prices and also the fact that they gave us a price without having seen the floor, my wife insisted to keep looking for a marble polishing company because it's worth to keep searching for companies that sometimes do not come up on the first page but might be more experienced in their industry. And then we found Acropolis marble polishing. After the owner gave us some details on the work that might need to be done we arranged to come and look at the floor the next day. He came and explained us in more details what was really the problem with the floor and what he would have to do to restore it. He also gave us two different prices depending on what the final outcome we would like to be. And the fact that he gave us the option to choose proved to be very convenient both for our pocket and the final look of our floor and therefore we decided to hire Acropolis. The crew came right at 8.30 along with George and did an amazing job. They removed the furniture with care and protected the kitchen cabinets with coverings. Overall they worked for two days and did a beautiful job for the living room, the kitchen, the hallway, and two bathrooms and shower walls.
