I had a truly special project. I wanted cut-proof chaps made for my Williams Jet Tender. This…read morerequired using special fabrics that could not be punctured or cut with a knife or machete. I contacted several people all over the country and no one would even try this project. Tim Boylan of Elite Marine Canvas took it on as a special challenge. He spent many hours testing different ways to work with the fabrics so that the end result would be both functional and look like it came from the factory. He came up with a plan to laminate 4 layers of this special fabric which had the desired effect of making the fabric cut-proof, but also made it extremely difficult to work with. It took countless hours of painstaking work to make all of the cutouts and seams fit perfectly. Tim worked long hours and weekends to make a deadline and makes sure the project was done to perfection. He takes great pride in his work and goes the extra mile to make sure everything is done right. The final product looked like it came from the factory and I am very pleased with the results. So much so that I had Tim do some other canvas work on my boat. I would not trust anyone else with my canvas needs. I am very particular and Tim makes sure you get a quality product. I can not recommend him more highly.

Finally met an honest business in Miami, that I didn't hire. Not because I didn't want to, but…read morebecause Tim Boylan, the owner of Elite Marine explained to me that what he specializes in does not apply to my special project. You see, I have a vintage car that I need help to engineer a removable one piece canvas top. I called Tim on a late Friday afternoon, and Tim drove to my house, on a Sunday, just to see if he could help me to figure out the solution. And he quickly realized that the work needed was more about welding and fabricating metal and aluminum vs just the canvas top. So instead of BSing me, he instead recommended me to some of his nearby technicians who may be able to help me. And he promised that he would oversee the work if necessary! Who does that these days? Tim does. So, if you are in need of any help with your yacht interiors, canvas tops etc, do not hesitate to hire Tim. He is not inexpensive, but his honesty is worth every penny in the long run. I hope to eventually hire Tim if I can get the special automotive metal framing work done. I want Tim to fit the top and side windows to fit as tight as a drum - with no leaks! And I'm confident he will help me when I need him next.

She was upbeat and excited to do the work, and her knowledge and passion really shined through. Jessica made interior design a lot more approachable and it helped me realize that it's not just for people looking to completely redo an entire house, but can even help with small things like deciding where in the room to put a piece of furniture, what colors to choose based on the type of light that comes in, and more. I feel empowered and excited to make the changes we discussed to my space!

I hired Jessy Leyva for a full bedroom makeover, and it was one of the best decisions I've made…read more From idea boards and paint selection to furniture shopping, joint accessory trips, and final setup, she guided the entire process seamlessly. Jessy works independently but keeps you involved and informed. Our first session was eye-opening--she used a fun questionnaire and visual prompts to help uncover my true design preferences, even ones I hadn't realized myself. Throughout the project, she presented 2-3 curated options at each stage, which was perfect for someone like me who gets overwhelmed by too many choices. She asked early on how involved I wanted to be, and in my case, I chose the full experience. Jessy always respected my opinions while offering clear, professional advice. Ultimately, the final decisions were mine--but better, because she helped me go beyond what I thought I wanted. (For example, she gently steered me away from lilac walls and butterflies, helping me embrace bold colors and more grown-up elements--and she was right!) The end result was better than I imagined: a beautiful, clean, functional, and personal space that became my happy place. Even after I moved out, the bold berry walls and gold accents still bring me joy when I remember that room. I absolutely recommend Jessy. She's talented, intuitive, efficient, and genuinely cares about creating spaces that feel like home.

The remodel of the unit was never completed, was replete with errors, and delayed. Instead of completing and complying with the terms of the agreement in good faith, Castor Construction breached the agreement including, without limitation, failing to complete the remodel, failing to meet any of the agreed upon deadlines, poor and incomplete work, on the unit, and departing the project in February 2024 without cause. As an example, in November 2023, Castor Construction blamed the delay on heart attacks, PTSD, and the firing of employees. Shortly thereafter, the poor and incomplete work continued with a new COO, who was then fired and rehired. This all surrounds a mysterious "health" condition affecting Dennis Prieto, the CEO of Castor Construction. Minimal work was performed thereafter, but a February 2024 inspection demonstrated the various issues. When the failure to make progress and the permit expiration was raised with Castor Construction, the new project manager of Castor Construction (Jaelly, Dennis's wife) informed me that Mr. Prieto (CEO of Castor Construction) had a "personal issue." Jaelly, Dennis' wife, provided information on the "personal issue." Due to Castor Construction Group, LLC's defaults and breaches, Castor Construction Group, LLC was terminated from work on our property and the we have hired another contractor. The termination letter also requested an accounting of the project including, but not limited to, a list of all milestones, a breakdown of all activity relating to the project, all monies collected, monies spent, labor incurred, invoices paid, proof of payment, any subcontractor agreements, any subcontractor payments, communication between Castor Construction Group, LLC and any subcontractors, and other documents relating to or regarding the project. We also through our attorney have demanded the refund of all monies paid and indemnification based upon the agreement which included a warranty on all of the work. None of this as ever delivered. On April 17, 2024, Dennis Prieto responded to the termination letter claiming an "unforeseen health issue that temporarily halted my ability to oversee business operations for over three weeks." He also claimed that he would provide "detailed breakdown, including all milestones, financial transactions, labor costs, invoices, communications with subcontractors, and other relevant project documentation by May 3, 2024." Castor Construction also proposed a structured settlement. Just as with the agreement and the remodel project, Castor Construction and Dennis Prieto went radio silent after April 17, 2024. Despite follow up emails by undersigned counsel, neither Castor Construction nor Mr. Prieto responded to any emails. I would urge everyone to avoid a huge headache and not consider Castor Construction Group for your needs.
