An individual greeted us at the door, spoke to us through a slot in the door, took our laptop while we were standing outside in the cold. We were unable to enter the business like any other business. The place was situated like a fortress. I had delt with this business previously, and what we experienced this time was surprising. My first visit, I was able to enter the business, there was a counter where I was able to place my laptop, and spoke with the technician face to face. This time it was totally different and disgusting, to say the least. He might be an excellent technician, with cost very reasonable, but the business appearance is unacceptable. This is a small community business I would love to support, but the customer service is very poor. Because of this, I would not recommend this business to anyone because of this. Mr. Jean, has to do better than this.

I can't say enough good things about Jean's computer repair. I was up against a deadline for…read moremedical school, and my computer (MacBook Pro) wouldn't turn on, and was making ominous noises. I was extremely upset and overwhelmed at the prospect of not getting my work done in time. Fortunately, Jean saved the day. I took my computer into his shop at 5:30pm on Thursday. He called me at 8:00pm that evening to let me know what was going on and to give me a price estimate ($150). He let me know I could pick it up any time after noon the following day. I stopped by at 1pm, and had my laptop back in perfect working order at exactly the price he gave me. In fact, my computer works better/faster than it did before I took it in, and he cleaned the keyboard and screen as well. I am so relieved and happy, and extremely thankful for Jean's swift and hard work. FYI- it's cash only, there's an ATM down the street with (IIRC) a $1.75 fee.

I'm a student with 1 week left before my semester project is due, and all my work is on a damaged…read morethumb drive. I took the damaged thumb-drive into PC Mac Express for diagnosis to see if it could be fixed. They called back and said it would cost about $400 and there was only a 50/50 chance that it could be recovered. When I picked it up, there was a red wire attached to the board that had not previously been there. I found someone in Canada to look at it and said they would do it for $200 and I'd only have to pay if they recovered the data. The company in Canada attempted to recover the data but said it looks like the other company had done something to the chip and were likely holding the data 'hostage' so that no one else could get the data, so that my only choice was to go back to PC Mac Express. The scope of this technology is out of my range so I don't know what to believe but what I saw with my own two eyes was the extra red wire that had not been there when I dropped it off. When I called PC Mac to question this and what was happening, they claimed nothing had been done and they had not attached any wires. At the end of the day, I didn't get my data back and PC Mac said no work had been done when in fact, I saw that alterations had been made to the thumb drive. I wouldn't ever bring anything to them again because the story doesn't add up. Perhaps something had been done by the people who work for Michael without him being aware, but in that case, nothing was done by Michael to understand the discrepancy.

He was knowledgeable and friendly. He identified the problem as a burned out SSD. He showed me how he determined the cause, and explained why it happens and how to prevent it in the future. He recommended a plan to fix it. Because we still had some time left in the hour, he ran a RAM test and did some tweaking to my RAM settings based on the test. It's not cheap to have them come to your house, but my guy did a good job and saved me a lot of time and uncertainty around what I was doing. I thought it was worth it, and would use these guys next time I have a problem I don't know how to solve.
