What a fun place! Lancaster is deff getting better with the better results and things like this. Decades is pretty fun and you can go here and feel like a kid again. Food, bowling and old school arcade games, I couldn't all for anything more. It's got X-Men, the Simpsons, Mario kart, Mortal Kombat all the games that make you feel like a Austin. After 8:30 you have to show ID at the door. My boyfriend and I only got $5 worth of coins and that was enough for us to play what we wanted. What a blast! We were considering going to Round 1, but after reading negative reviews we chose Decades instead. What a GOOD choice! Absolutely adorable with old-fashioned bowling lanes and an arcade. Great for both kids and adults. They have a nice food menu and excellent drinks, including the best hard cider I've ever had. The staff are friendly and the building is a converted historical armory, which is neat if you enjoy architecture. Prices were very fair, six dollars per person per bowling game and most arcade games only took one to two tokens. We arrived when it opened and noticed that it quickly filled up, so I would recommend getting there as early as possible to avoid a line/wait. Would 100% visit again when in Lancaster. read more

While I was visiting Lancaster I went here for the first time. We had a great time. Sat at the bar and had a couple of drinks and the pretzel bites appetizer. It was giant portion and delicious!!! The bartender, I forgot his name was very friendly and explained how it works with the games. We bought tokens to play some games. The price for tokens is very reasonably priced. $5 got me 20 tokens, which basically 20 games. I played a lot of skee ball, which was my favorite as a kid. I loved visiting Decades in Lancaster for a few reasons. 1. it would be great as a date spot; 2. it is great as a group activity; 3. it is great to go by yourself! The 2 floor space eith exposed brick has both classic arcade games like Donkey Kong, and Skee-ball, but they also have group games to play like Pacman, or Bowling. The staff were friendly, and very attentive. I enjoyed their menu and fun drink options that were available, and not too pricey considering we are in the city. I will say, the games are not too expensive, either, so you can make $5 worth of tokens last a little while. I would go back again! read more

Highly recommended. I'm Lancaster born and raised, and love what's happened downtown. Decades fits right in. I walked past Saturday and had 90 minutes to kill, so I stopped in and asked if I could pop my laptop and do a little work while grabbing lunch. Staff was great - very accommodating. They recommended a burger and it was solid. (Side note: I love when staff is confident and responsive enough to offer a recommendation when asked - it takes the work out of it for me). I was recommended to go here during my trip to Lancaster and boy am I glad that I went. This was definitely one of my favorite parts of the trip. I went with my friend and we did bowling for an hour and ordered dinner and drinks. We had the best time, it was just so much fun. It wasn't super expensive to bowl and I loved that it was smaller - only 6 lanes. Everyone working there including our waiter was super kind. I loved that you could actually sit and eat while you bowled. The tables in the middle are perfect for sitting, eating, drinking, and stowing away your stuff while you play. Now if you think you that this place will offer you mediocre food while you bowl - you're so wrong. This was probably one of the best meals I've had. Everything was cooked so well , large portions, seasoned well, and the menu had a variety of options ! I got the pimento cheeseburger which was super stacked and exploding with flavor. Well cooked burger, great pork on top and the pretzel bun was a great option. The food does not joke around which is why you also have the option of dining 'in the restaurant' or at the bar. And lastly aside from bowling there's a handful of token arcade games. Not too many, no prizes. It keeps things nostalgic and fun for adults. Basically if you're thinking about going- just go. I'm happy to see that some popular mid to late 90's arcade machines were added. When I came here a few years ago, I had a hard time finding games that I grew up playing. The selection of beer, cocktails and small bites is plentiful enough to please just about every appetite. What an unusual experience!! This immense converted building has a great vibe as a restaurant/bar/arcade/bowling alley!! Deliciousness and Fun combined. Appetizers very tasty! Finally made it here and I gotta say it's a once and done place for us. I think it's a better place for under age 30. The place was packed so it was hard to play games, have to reserve bowling well in advance or you don't stand a chance to play and same with sitting anywhere. I ordered two entrees. The seafood etouffee and the pork belly dishes. I will start by saying I did order them off uber eats so I understand sometimes there can be discrepancies but I was disappointed to find the seafood dish was served with rice instead of a biscuit like what the Uber Eats website had said. But more than that, I was really disappointed with the portion size. When I pulled the pork belly out of the bag the box was nice and heavy and it looked really delicious. (It was outstanding by the way!) However, when I pulled out the seafood entree it was much lighter and then when I opened it I saw it was rice and not a biscuit. It was just not nearly enough food especially considering the price. The taste was there but once I finished it I was still hungry. This is their panzella salad (that's what the menu says) an Italian classic that for some reason when you ask for less bread, more lettuce, becomes a Southern Bread Salad and the answer an emphatic no; all because the chef is southern. I had such an unpleasant experience on Saturday night that I decided I had to write a review so supervisors would see this as well as other people. My boyfriend and I went to Decades that night with a coworker of mine and his girlfriend, both of Spanish decent. We arrived around 11:30PM and put our names down for bowling, then went up and sat down at the bar. The girlfriend of my coworker jokingly asked if the oranges that were in a bowl on the bar were free and the bartender said no. Directly following this interaction, he moves the oranges off of the bar and out of reach to behind the bar. Now this made me mad because I felt if someone white would have made that joke it would have been brushed off completely but no, this man physically picked up the oranges and moved them out of arms reach. Now when I addressed this as it was happening, the bartender denied it had anything to do with that and he was simply cleaning up but it was DIRECTLY after the interaction and the oranges were fine there two minutes prior. THEN we finally receive a text that a lane is available for us at 12:06AM. Now we were aware they closed at 1AM but figured we could get a game in. So we are having a good time bowling, this being my buddy and girlfriend's first time at Decades, and the bar slowly clears out until we are the last people there. At 1:01AM the staff shut off our games and turned off all of the lights in the bowling area. We had two frames left. No one spoke to us, no warning, just everything was shut off and I checked my phone and it was 1:01. Then some little girl came over and asked if I was going to pay for the bowling. Um yes, I planned to pay for bowling, I just didn't realize the time and they didn't even warn us hey, we are closing soon and your game will be turned off, just shut everything off on us and left us in the dark. Overall, this was a horrible experience. I prefer not to believe that it was the company I was with, but my boyfriend and I have been there twice now and I have never been treated with such blatant disrespect. Makes me question the morale of their staff and question if I ever want to give a company like that my business again. read more

Great location. Great decor. However it is loud and everything echos because of the open concept. Food was good but not fabulous. Large portions which match the price you pay with it. Limited menu but good. We have the Grilled cheese chaurturie and the cornbread which these two items alone could have have feed 10 and they were starters. That being said,they could have been counted as full meals instead. The grilled cheese cheese had way too much bread. We ended up asking for take out boxes for the apps. The wings were large but barely any flavor. The pimento burger was good. But slightly cooler then hoped for. Overall, they should keep tweaking the menu restaurant side of things and they will improve from a good to a really good. The games were nostalgic. But not enough games for the volume of people. I used to live across the street from here. I'm giving them 2 stars because it's a cool atmosphere, is always clean and their staff is friendly. My husband and I have gone 4 times because we REALLY wanted to like it but the only decent thing on their menu is the wings. Drinks are really pricy for what you're getting. They used to have a pretty good creme brûlée but they took that off the menu. The bowling is insanely expensive and if you go on the weekend you will definitely not be able to find a place to sit. I recommend going to play some old school arcade games but then leaving for your food and drinks! read more

Even I found out an "arcade" opened up I was interested since the only one close was it in Hanover at the time. There was 3 of us that day around mother's day. They have bowling but it's only about 4 lanes, its expensive for an hour and you are a loud 6 people a lane. Theres a long bar beat the games which theres only a few, so when it's busy you can't play anything. There were quite a few kids roaming around even though it seemed like an upscale place. Tonight I tried the vegan hot chicken sandwich and thier mac and cheese. It was outstanding. Sandwich had just enough heat, I do not think food should hurt but the heat was there. The sandwich was huge, I got 2 big peices of vegan chicken, one will be lunch tomorrow. Great mix of pickles and sauce on the sandwich. Mac and cheese was creamy and serving size was big, again some is still in the fridge. My partner got a cheese steak and the fall salad. He raved about the salad and the home made chips.
