We originally hired Decades Flooring to replace our carpet with vinyl floors four years ago and were very happy with the work. Even years later they continue to impress us. We recently had some damage well after the warranty ended and they still came out as a courtesy to help. Even with discontinued tile they went above and beyond to find a solution and made the repair look great. We really appreciate their care workmanship and excellent customer service. Highly recommend. read more

I regret using this company to restore my hardwood floors. The floor refinishing was done unevenly and there are patches all over the house where the finish is coming off within weeks of their work. After asking them to fix it, they refused. I paid over $6000 to refinish the floors and it's disappointing that it wasn't done correctly. read more

They installed gym flooring in my ADU and it looks and feels great. Good communication and showed up on time

I can't say enough good things about Decades! I reached out for a quote after noticing their storefront, and the experience exceeded my expectations. Communication was quick, the installation was done fast, and they finished with an amazing, professional result. Plus, their prices were so competitive. Overall, it was definitely a 10/10! read more

NO! just NO! Wish I had never been introduced to this place! unresponsive, aloof, unprofessional... made my already stressful remodel job so much worse... kept blaming me for their communication problems! shady work!! they had to come fix it... they didn't fix it in full.... took days to respond to texts, calls, emails... literally waiting for an email a I type this... no reply..... do yourselves a favor and stay away... I have NEVER written a negative review for any business, this time I felt compelled to do so!.... bunch of lip service with no action... no! just no!! read more

Out of all the Flooring Specialists I've spoken too in the South bay, these guys delivered. They repaired a section of damaged floor, by re-using some of the older planks I kept from the previous job. It looks exactly like the way it did before it was torn up. A repair job well done! Decades Flooring also reinstalled the hallway and second bedroom flooring that was comprised of laminate and underlayment. The end result was terrific, sturdy, and looked fantastic. The overall General Assessment was fair, on-time, and very knowledgeable. Now that the job is finished, it goes without saying, these guys know exactly what they're doing. They fixed everything! I would certainly use Decades Flooring again for any future work! =) I won't even bother with the other company's in anymore, now that I've literally called them all. Nice job guys! read more

After speaking to different hard wood floor refinishers, I decided to go with Decades Flooring and I am so happy I went with them. They were super responsive (quick!) to my initial outreach, on time for the initial evaluation appointment and very quick to turnaround and send me the estimate for the job. After meeting with two other refinishers, Decades was the only team that could 100% commit to a specific window to refinish my 70- year old hard wood oak floors (I had a very tight window). Not only did Decades start on the hoped-for day, they also were able to complete the final coat of varnish by the end of the third day (one day sooner than promised). What's better than that? Well... their price beat out everyone else's, they sent photos updating me with their progress ...WOW! Their work was absolutely stunning and perfect. They did such a GREAT job. My floors looks absolutely BEAUTIFUL. Love these guys!!! Go with them, they are absolutely the pros you want! :) read more

We have used Decades for two flooring jobs and great experiences both times. Desiree provides excellent advisement, Jay is always very knowledgeable about the on-site installation and the team for the demo, installation and clean up are always friendly, professional and skilled. We had bamboo installed throughout our unit with vinyl in the bathroom. Delighted with the results! read more

Desiree and Jay were terrific to work with. We installed approx. 1200 SF of vinyl plank flooring in an accessory building we use as a game/hobby room. Got several bids, their price was reasonable and we decided to go with them. We ordered the floor ourselves and had it dropped shipped to our home. There were shipping problems, so we had to re-schedule a couple of times. Desiree was very accommodating and the install went very well, the crew was terrific: polite, competent, clean and quick. There were a couple of "tune-up issues" where we needed them back to adjust a couple of items...no problem. Desiree was great to work with on scheduling and Jay was on it. No hesitancy in recommending them. In fact, we will be re-doing the wood floors in the adjacent house that we live in and they will be my first call. read more

Jay and Desiree are GREAT!! From start to finish. We met with over 10 flooring companies. Jay was the most professional, courteous, and direct. From the first time he came over to give an estimate... and throughout the job he would come by and check out the job and communicate with his crew. He did exactly what we discussed. No surprises. When we told him we had a better price from another flooring company they were able to beat it. They competed the job ONE FULL DAY sooner. We live in a high rise with very strict HOA rules and regulations. Jay provided the proper documents, insurance and business license needed. They are FULLY INSURED. At the end of each day his crew cleans and vacuums. They're VERY thorough, and anything you need, Jay is a phone call or a text away. He responds immediately. Great people... great team... great quality work. read more

My experience with this company was great. I was looking to refinish and repair my wood floors. I was fortunate to find this company. Desiree was very helpful, friendly, and always promptly answered all my questions. Jay was knowledgeable when giving me an estimate for a quote. We had Decades Flooring remove old carpeting from upstairs and stairs, level the floors, and replace with new solid hardwood. The entire process from start to finish was perfect. Desiree on the business end, Jay evaluating and measuring the job and Esteban and his crew doing the installation. Clean, professional, communicative and expertly installed. All aspects of the job performed exceeded expectations. Highest recommendation! read more

The service has been excellent throughout. they had to come out for the free estimate twice because I changed my mind about several things while considering a bathroom remodel. Final floor job was done on schedule and looks great. It included mop boards and a threshold piece, which was done the same day. Good job, Decades. I will use you again for any flooring I might require. read more

It was such a pleasure working with Jay and Desiree, and the installation crew, for my new floors. They did a fantastic job in record time, which I really appreciated because it allowed me to move into my new place earlier than I had anticipated. The whole process was smooth and seamless, great communication at all times about the cost of the project and expectations for time of completion. I had spoken with several contractors before finding Decades Flooring and they all gave me ridiculous quotes with tons of hidden fees. These guys are honest and kind - I highly recommend them. I had a WONDERFUL experience with Decades Flooring. I had flooring installed in both a studio rental unit and my also my home kitchen. From the start Desiree was a joy to speak with over the phone when setting up an appointment for Jay to come to my home and give me an estimate. Jay actually came out twice as I had trouble deciding who to go with. I'm so glad I picked Decades Flooring. The crew, Domingo, Carlos and Edwin were very easy to work with, accommodating and did a fantastic job (and the job wasn't easy). My studio floor needed leveling and the crew had no trouble getting the job done. The pricing for everything I had done was by far the best. I highly recommend this company. read more

Did a beautiful job of removing old carpet and refinishing existing hardwood underneath. Jay and Desiree are the best. Its refreshing to work with decent people in an industry where shady folk peek around every corner. Jay came out on a weekend to evaluate and provide and estimate on our home. He was courteous, professional and respectful. Desiree is very communicative and provides proper and fair estimates! Although we didn't end up working together (we needed someone to start the next day), If I had a more flexible schedule, I would have picked Decades flooring for sure. They are good people read more

We found Decades Flooring after an extensive search for the best hardwood flooring companies in Los Angeles County. Both Desiree and Jay were incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and communicative throughout the entire installation. We recently purchased a historically significant 1950s mid-century that needed a lot of love in the flooring department, and we wanted to ensure the craftsmanship for our desired herringbone pattern would match and elevate the current aesthetic of the house. We couldn't be any happier with the final result. THANK YOU Decades Flooring for making our vision a reality!! read more
