Lina had a great solution and did an amazing job matching it with an acrylic extension--you can't even tell in the photo. That said, if you're in a similar situation, I'd recommend asking for Gel-X instead of acrylic. The acrylic ended up feeling loose and didn't hold well, so I had to come back before leaving for a trip. To their credit, Sunny Nails squeezed me in the very next day. Another technician quickly assessed the issue, removed the acrylic, and replaced it with Gel-X (a full, strong nail--not just a tip). The result was flawless--she shaped it beautifully, and I was able to enjoy my trip with perfect nails. The only downside was the experience during the fix. The technician seemed frustrated, didn't respond to my thank you, and abruptly turned off the blue light and walked away without acknowledgment. It felt a bit uncomfortable--especially since I had already paid extra for the initial service and had to come back. Overall, they made it right, and I appreciate the quality of the final result--just wish the customer experience during the correction matched it.

They seem to have a faithful clientele, easily talking to all their customers by name and noting that they will see the again soon. It's not fancy at all so if you have lower expectations of a salon experience, this is perfect. I like to get fancy pedicures once in a while but can't afford it with the $60-90 price range and options. For something low key, just to get your nails done simply with no fuss or fanciness, this was perfect. They did an efficient and clean job, and my regular pedi was only $35 with $5 extra for a salt scrub. Since it's just the two of them, the place is tiny with only three pedicure/massage chairs and two manicure stations. They're happy to take walk-ins as I don't think they get too busy.. but there were two customers before us and two after, so we just happened to come at the perfect time for just the two of them to handle everyone with little wait. I'm sure it helps to call for an appointment though. Their polish selection is limited. Again, if you adjust your expectations, this is a great salon. For non-fancy people, my daughter and I were happy and will be back. My wallet is especially happy!

A good set should be thin, not bulky or puffy, with a smooth surface (no lumps or dips), a clean cuticle area (no product on the skin), and straight, even shaping. I'm not sure if it's the products being used, the application, or rushing, but for a mid-to-high price range, I expected better consistency and attention to detail. I was also told it was due to my natural nails, but I've had my nails done at other salons and never experienced these issues, so I don't believe that's the case. I really appreciate their willingness to fix the work, but I'd prefer a place that gets it right the first time without needing adjustments. Especially since those adjustments aren't the best either... Getting your nails done should be a fun, relaxing experience, not one where you're worried about the outcome each time.
