I am extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled. I purchased the shampoo and…read moreconditioner because I genuinely wanted to love them, but after using them my scalp burned intensely and itched, I developed flaking, and a very large amount of hair came out while I was shampooing and conditioning, far more than is normal for me. The burning was so severe it continued for a day or two. I stopped using the products because I was genuinely concerned about what was happening to my hair and scalp. What was most upsetting was how the owner handled it when I went back to the salon. After I explained what was happening, she repeatedly told me she did not believe shampoo and conditioner could cause this and emphasized that she has been a hairstylist for 14 years. At one point I asked her directly, "So you're saying I'm lying?" She said she wasn't saying that, but I don't know how else I was supposed to take being repeatedly told she didn't believe the products could cause what I was experiencing. I was not asking her to diagnose me. I was telling her what happened after using products I purchased from her salon. What made the situation even more upsetting was when she told me that if I were a client of theirs she would be more willing to work with me, but that I was essentially just someone who "walked off the street" and purchased the products. I found that extremely insulting. I was still a paying customer, and I don't believe someone should have to be an established salon client to have their concerns taken seriously when they are experiencing a significant problem with a product they bought there. She wanted me to leave the products while she contacted the sales representative to see whether they would approve a full refund. She said that if the representative approved it she would give me a full refund, but if they did not she would only give me a partial refund. I did not feel comfortable leaving products I had paid for when I didn't know whether I would receive a full refund. She kept saying, "You're not even going to use them," and questioned why I wanted to take them with me. I told her, "I'm taking them because I paid for them." She also said I was not giving her a chance to get a hold of the sales representative. I have already driven an hour each way twice to deal with this. I gave her the additional time she requested to contact the sales representative. She never followed up, and nothing was resolved. I genuinely wanted to love these products. Instead I experienced intense scalp burning, itching, flaking, and a very large amount of hair coming out while washing, and then felt dismissed when I went back for help. I am extremely disappointed that the salon handled the situation this way rather than simply resolving the issue. I will not be returning, and after being told I was essentially just someone who "walked off the street," I would be very cautious about purchasing products or getting any services done here if this is how non-client customers are treated when there is a problem.
