The Athena Health website has been great for asking and receiving timely answers to questions I've had. The onsite lab has also been extremely helpful. Only one thing that others have mentioned in their reviews is that online questionnaires were not logged and once at the appointment, we were asked to redo it, which was bothersome. Overall, the care we've received has been wonderful! Dr Lily is awesome and we hope to continue here for many years to come!

Her thorough, proactive approach gives me great confidence that nothing is being overlooked. The only downside to the practice is that they don't offer a patient portal. That said, Dr. Holzer and her staff more than make up for it with their outstanding responsiveness and follow-up. She does an ultra sound and tells me my fibroid is pretty much non existent and doesn't need any attention. Then tells me all my problems can be fixed with birth control. I told her I didn't want birth control because I have adverse effects, she said I was crazy and it was all in my head and birth control has no side effects. WHAT?!!!! I write this review because FINALLY I have found a doctor who actually cares and takes the time. I was validated today that I have a serious issue that needs attention, more than just birth control!!!!!, and my "non existent" fibroid IS the size of a kiwi. STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR!!! Several years after, I made sure my new insurance had her in my network. I was able to go back to her only to find out I could have gone to her with my third pregnancy (I was told otherwise by the insurance carrier). She was in a different office and her partner Dr. was not a nice individual. He was condescending and made one feel like dirt. However, Dr. Selinger remained the same. Then I went through a life battle. Never in my life has a Dr. been so empathetic and understanding. She noticed a difference in me. It felt as though I was in therapy counseling. Temecula Medical made several adjustments to their schedule to get me in quickly as I have cancer and other serious health concerns that require immediate and uninterrupted monitoring and care. I initially saw Tatiana and she could not have been more pleasant or patient as she listened intently to my long list of ailments. At the end of the appointment it was most impressive to see she had not missed or neglected to note even one of the many issues I'd spoken about, the ten plus referrals I needed, and a list of the medial items I need to maintain my relative health. I was listened to, all of my concerns were addressed and all referrals submitted before a day had passed. Truly above and beyond care for this extremely complicated and difficult cancer patient. I think the whole office had the best energy. I also found the waiting room spacious and relaxing with the abundant windows and light. Everyone had a smile on their faces and they let me stay well into their lunch period so I could take my time signing the many releases for information and finish what was needed. I can't imagine why they don't have five stars as I'd happily refer them to my best friends if asked. Removing him from the room without explanation and treating the situation as if there were a safety concern was not only unprofessional, but also created unnecessary distress and discomfort for both of us. She called multiple times to get the referral, but they continued to tell her she needed to see the doctor for again. Does that make any sense after she just saw the doctor only a month prior?! Today 2/5/2025 I called to speak with the staff that does the referrals, to which they told me that her appointment in December was only a Medicare wellness visit. That the appointment whether she had a problem then or not was not an appropriate appointment for a referral. The exact words were they needed a "diagnosis". To which I said, if you guys could diagnose what she has and takes 2 separate appointments, they could "diagnose" then they should also be able to treat otherwise there would be no need for a specialist. I also work in the medical field; this is a racket. No wonder patients are frustrated with medical care. It's completely mismanaged, inefficient, and the office staff leave a lot to be desired. The two women I spoke with today were Jasmine and Melissa, the seemed very disinterested in why I was upset. Clearly the point of the December visit is so they can get their year end billing done with Medicare. I seriously can see no reason otherwise because my 77 yr old mom wasted her time going to a doctor just to tell her she needs to see an ENT and then not give her a referral.
