I called at 3:35am to make sure someone was on their way and iCab said they didn't have my reservation and no one could get to me in time for us to get to the bus. We missed the bus (which Michigan Flyer credited to a future trip, thankfully!), and our only option to get to DTW was to take a cab, and iCab was the only company that had someone nearby. We ended up paying $125 to get to DTW, and I was furious. Lesson for the future: Look at Yelp reviews first and make at least one confirmation call or make them send me an email confirmation.

I recently started taking it again and I was heartbroken to see the actual facility in ruins. I thought CATA was on the up and up because I see how they've been marketing CATA online and I love the wraps they've been putting on the busses. But to see how FILTHY and unkept the building is, is really unfortunate because the actual passengers are the ones who have to go day in and day out. The building doesn't look like it's been updated in decades. I really with there was a way to update and activate the space so that people can take pride in taking the bus again.

CATA is our bus system in the Lansing area and it takes you to a good number of places, especially now, but when I was a APWAC (annoying person without a car) it was such a bitch getting around on it. In particular, the South Harrison bus...it was so feckin sporadic!! Some days it would take you like 1.5 hours to catch one stupid bus, some days, 20 mins, and other days it wouldn't come at all. Since CATA took over MSU's bussing system, I think they've become a little more timely, and I'm actually surprised/glad to see that they put a stop on my road (a pretty major thoroughfare in East Lansing), but of course now, I hardly ever ride CATA anymore...
