Gabriel ignored the project for months and pulled the PM off my site to send him to work on an ADU. We lived from mid September until late November without a call or any work completed. Finally, in late November (6 weeks after I texted that I was having surgery on December 3 and needed ALL work completed beforehand) Gabriel sent his PM and a new hire. The new hire turned out to be on parole and he burgled our home (all is on video). Gabriel swore he vetted all his employees, but clearly not. The matter is now in the hands of the Ventura Police Department and Ventura County District Attorney. As of this writing, Gabriel Gomez is unwilling to compensate us for the stolen items and billed us for the hours the thief worked as he stole. Do not waste your time.

They left our downstairs bathroom in terrible shape, and despite Brittany assuring us it would be handled, we were later told the repairs were entirely our responsibility. The bigger issue came later: we found wet, broken drywall inside our upstairs HVAC air-handler closet, exactly on the wall where the leak occurred. This damage was completely missed by their team. The drywall was in perfect condition before the leak, and there is no other source of water in that location. When we informed them, Sean repeatedly promised that the drywall repair would be approved because of his relationship with the property manager. We patiently waited months. Today, he told us the request was denied -- and then denied ever promising he could get it approved. This entire experience has involved misleading assurances, inconsistent information, delays, and a complete lack of accountability. Instead of acknowledging obvious oversight, they refused responsibility at every step. I wish we hadn't trusted this company. Homeowners deserve honesty and professionalism, and we did not receive either.

The team was initially quick to respond and came out to review the scope of our project and asked good questions to understand our goals and scope of the work. They appeared to have good ideas and options to get creative with solutions for what we wanted to achieve with the project. After the first meeting we didn't hear back on a quote, and after following up they said they needed more details to prepare a proper quote so we scheduled more time. They missed the second appointment so we rescheduled and got them back through for a second look. After walking them through the project scope again and answering some new follow up questions we were optimistic we'd be able to move to the next phase. We weren't hearing back from them so after a couple weeks, we followed up with their office and they let us know that they're still working on a quote and would have it by end of day. One week later still no quote. Finally I got a call from Eagle pride telling me that they've decided they don't wanna work on our project citing that they aren't able to get one of their subcontractors available to quote a key part of the project. Throughout the process, we've been flexible on timelines, patient throughout the missed appointments and poor communication. We understand that contractors are busy and they can't always bid on a project, but it would have been nice to know that before waiting 6 weeks. We can't speak to the quality of the work that Eagle pride does, but l see these missed appointments, the slow communication, and abandoning the project entirely after dragging us along as red flags.
