Chai tea latte with ginger, Dead River blend pour over
Julia B.

We were greeted right away with a friendly hello! After careful deliberation, I got a chai tea latte with ginger and a glazed donut and my dad got the Dead River pour over. The pour over took a few minutes (as expected) and he was very impressed with it. My latte was unique, it reminded me of mulling spices and I would definitely get it again. Next time though I am going to try the Bea Bomb, which is a mixture of espresso/lemonade. Somebody in the shop got it iced and was raving about it. We left happy and will be back next time we're in Marquette!

Basic little coffee shop in downtown Marquette. You can grab a cup of coffee and walk around the shops in the area. No frills here, they have your basic coffee shop offerings. The staff was really friendly!!

A sweet little spot for real coffee! The decor is eclectic and cozy. They have a station set up roasting and grinding beans and it is so cool to watch. Smells like coffee heaven in here! Syrup is home made and you can purchase whole beans for home use. A few spots to sit at tables and a little bar area looking out into the street through a nice big window. Coffee was delicious. There are home made treats as well but none for us this morning as we are prepping for the marathon coming up. Must go and experience!

Really weird experience. Totally disorganized and super slow service. Came here with my boyfriend and it took 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee, a latte and a shot of espresso. The cashier didn't understand what drip coffee meant, which seems like a basic coffee concept. Totally fine if she didn't understand but she should have asked us for clarification rather than puttering around for 10 minutes and then asking her boss to ask us what we wanted. While we were waiting we were both really uncomfortable because there was no where to sit because a few people were very spread out among the few tables they have. They have a coffee roaster right in the cafe so get ready to smell coffee roasting. And actually coffee just smells like burning popcorn when it's roasted so the place really didn't smell good. The woman who was roasting the coffee was also breastfeeding at the same time. Just a weird thing to do while working in public but maybe that's just me. When our coffees were finally ready, she handed me my latte with the lid off and placed the lid right in a spill of old coffee. I went to grab a spoon and they were all dirty even though they were in the clean cup. So I had a gross lid and no way to stir my sugar in... The coffee wasn't even that good either. Overall, would not go back.

The quality does not warrant the price. There also is not any consistency in the quality of the drink.

Legit latte. Great coffee. Haven't tried a straight shot, but based on the latte, I'd expect it to be excellent.

If you're looking for an excellent cup of coffee, this is the place. They have non-dairy, plant based milk options too!

Apparently if you like caramel in your latte it's "not real coffee". I walked out after being told that.

My favorite item is the whitefish bagel. Our last stop before heading home last week, we wanted to get our normal. The whitefish was sold out!! The coffee was decent, not mind-blowing, but it did the job. The mocha was a nice treat, though! The real highlight of this place was the staff. The baristas were super friendly, making the experience feel warm and welcoming. It's clear they enjoy what they do, and it shows in their service. While the food was solid, I'd say the bathroom could use a little more attention. It wasn't as clean as I'd hoped, but it didn't ruin the vibe of the place. One of the coolest things about Fall Rock Cake is the bookstore aspect. You can browse through a variety of books while enjoying your coffee or meal. It's the perfect spot to unwind, especially if you're a book lover! Overall, great atmosphere, friendly service, and a good place to relax and grab a bite.
