When I saw the word 'brekkie', I immediately thought of Australia - it means 'breakfast' in their lingo. I'm thinking this cafe is possibly be Australian inspired :) This dish was prepared by the lady behind the counter with a small portable stove. I can feel the love as she delicately prepares this for us! We also ordered the Lavender Latte and the Matcha Magic. What is a Matcha Magic you ask? It is a Matcha Latte with a shot of espresso! Perfect for those who loves Matcha but also needed that caffeine boost lol. The Lavender Latte, surprisingly, does not have the usual overpowering lavender kick... it was very light and soothing. Recommendation: Would Why50 consider making a Lavender Mocha? ^^ Chocolate actually goes well together with the lavender taste ;) Keep up the great work!

Their interiors are Clean, simple and much neater than its nearby surroundings which means once you enter you feel 'safe' from the hustle and bustle. Demure in size but serious on the caffeine is The Brew Job, one of the better coffee spots in…read morewestern Kowloon. Only a stone's throw away from the Olympia Station, this place is so small that it's easy to miss. For folks looking for a quiet place to chat or some caffeine with a side of WiFi, this place fits the bill. Bear in mind, The Brew Job is no Starbucks. There is no indie music or up and coming artists playing in the background, or a fancy gift card for future purposes. The layout is narrow with super small tables and an even smaller tiny counter. Conversations are bound to be overheard, the smell of the coffee will permeate the room, and patrons are typically in and out constantly. Thankfully the staff is both efficient and friendly. It's a cash only operation, but it's nice knowing they also take Octopus cards. While the cappuccino and ice coffee are my go-tos (under $40), the real motivation for being here is their reasonably fast WiFI and solid, intimate meeting space. There is a parking garage across the street and some bicycle parking areas for commuters. Don't come here in a group of course, but for solo sipping and/or some intimate conversation, this is a quality neighborhood spot.

It is quite a small place and recommended to groups larger than 3 people. The espresso is quite mild and slightly sour with a tense of fruit aroma. I tried most of the bagels and ciabatta with salmon and pastrami. Breakfast takes some time as everything is prepared freshly. This is definitely a good place to slow down in a busy city and the place to go for people who appreciate third generation coffee.

Lovely spot for brunch with friends!…read more The decor is modern, clean and inviting with a hipster vibe. If that's your thing, you'll love it here! It's just a 4 minute walk from Exit D, Jordan MTR station- convenient for anyone who's around TST. MUST-TRY: signature toast with nine homemade jams ($48)! This is a great way to sample their homemade jams, which they sell in jars for $48-68 HKD each. The toast is very crisp and the jams are bomb. My favorite is the lychee one! My foodie friend got the full English breakfast and said it was great. I didn't try it so I can't give my opinion but he gives his seal of approval and recommends. PASS: Pastas and risottos probably aren't the best thing to order here. Risotto is a hit or miss dish for me- I got a pumpkin risotto and the flavor was fine but it was overcooked and too mushy for my liking. Just keep in mind that they specialize in breakfast/brunch items and stick to those dishes. All in all, worth trying out. I recommend Let's Jam if you're a brunch lover!

My breakfast cost less than yesterday's latte. I ordered breakfast #5 which was toast with fruit and yogurt and included coffee. I didn't realize the fruit and yogurt would be on the toast, but it was good and as a bit of a coffee fuss budget, the coffee was fantastic. It was a delightful start to the day and I am pretty sure I will repeat the visit tomorrow morning.

I'll admit: The "Find Us On Yelp" sign was the initial hook for coming here. Café Sausalito feels…read morevery random in the localsphere of Sham Shui Po, which is not a hotbed of foreign themed cafes, much less Yelp gung ho businesses. I eventually became a regular while keeping my expectations dialed low (#1) and learned to appreciate this place for what it was: a laid back cafe in the heart of SSP. At first, my visits were strictly to kill time, drink a little something, and get lost in internet space with their speedy WiFi, but I eventually graduated to spending copious amounts of time here while experimenting with their food options, while even holding a few business meetings here. Whenever I was in SSP, this eventually became my home away from home. It was like being in (a narrow room in) the US, but without all the commercialism. The interior is pretty tight; many folks who are working / studying (in addition to dining and sipping) are usually by themselves. It doesn't get too crowded in here even during peak hours, which is why I enjoyed coming here so often. The service is surprisingly great. The owner, Michael is extremely hospitable and the rest of the staff is very welcoming, amiable, and efficient. For expats who are coming here for a little breakfast nostalgia (especially their ever popular "all-day breakfast" for $88HKD), keep your expectations tapered in knowing the food will naturally be served in HK portions and tastes. Don't forget to enjoy one of their lovely mochas either inside (#2) or in their limited outdoor seating. ___________ (#1) Because ... western food in Hong Kong. (#2) Because ... AC.

As I had nowhere to be, might as well just give it a try and see what this was about. And I am glad I made that decision. The interior design is really alluring. It is grey tables with black chairs. Very hip and cool. The shop itself is not too spacious but as a place like this, it seems to serve as a purpose and it gives out a cozy and quint vibe. As for the food, they have bakery and also all-day breakfast. It was a no brainer for me that I ordered the all-day breakfast right away and surprisingly it cost less than a hundred Hong Kong dollar. It took some time before I got my food so I ordered a cup of coffee to go with the food later. The latte was rich and foamy, which tasted great. Together with the food, the scrambled eggs are very smooth and the beacon was nicely done as well. All the wait was definitely worthwhile. This place does not even have 10% service charge but tipping seems to be a right thing to do in a nice place such as this.

Well, Cafe Corridor is pretty hidden, and almost a "hole in the wall", at the end of a ground floor entrance across from Times Square. My friend ordered a Brazilian Single Origin Pour Over and I got a Rose Latte. I quite enjoyed the cozy environment and was very reminiscent of coffee shops I used to frequent in the US. There is no Wi-Fi so it's a fair incentive for you to socialize and enjoy a coffee with your friends instead of being connected. The bathroom could be better maintained, but not much to expect from a place like this. Will return to try their breakfast and pastries!

2.5 Stars for the coffees…read more There is a lot of fanfare and positive reviews for Care Corridor. . First off, it is a bit hard to find if you don't look closely, so I supplied a picture of what the entrance looks like. The Corridor itself is cool, and once you enter its a quaint little shop, maybe 7 tables. It is not a bright store, maybe a bit more divey ambiance. As you've seen other posts, there is a great "No Wifi" picture, suggesting we talk to the people we came with and for that I'm adding a .5 star :) We all need to be reminded to enjoy the moment more, not necessarily your gadgets. They do serve food, but we only had coffee. They definitely know their coffee drinks and give suggestions if you ask. Both drinks were good, however, not hot and maybe just above warm? Maybe it was meant to be that way? I'm not sure because the employees don't really follow up to make sure you are satisfied and seem a bit coffee snobby. I'll confess though our specialty drinks were firsts, nowhere have I had/seen them before so maybe they are not meant to be "hot." Seem to be alot of tourists or expats coming in here. There are 4-5 other coffee shops that receive alot of notoriety along with Cafe Corridor. Am I happy I came, saw, tasted? Yes. Will I go out of my way to come back? No.
