The salad choices often includes pasta salad or a rice salad. If you are trying to eat healthy and lite then the salads here aren't for you. The coffee here is pretty good however and is slightly cheaper than the coffee shops in the area. They also have a loyalty program so you get a free coffee after buying 10. I personally like their cappuccino and think it's better than the Coffee Academics and Starbucks version which are your other choices close by. They recently changed up the menu and offer more low carb friendly options which are geared to the paleo/ketogenic diet crowd. An example is the cauliflower rice option that they sell. This isn't a place I would recommend to go out of your way to go to. If you work in the office building it's a convenient choice for something quick. Seating usually isn't an issue either which is a bit of a luxury in Hong Kong.

Anyway, I got here at around 10:30 and connected to Wi-Fi. The internet is really slow here. Within an hour, the place was packed, and people were standing waiting for seats to be free. While I was sitting by myself with my cappuccino waiting for my video to download from the slow internet. Were people giving me side eyes? Absolutely. But I got there early. For the reason that I came to The Cupping Room, this is not a great place to work, but it's ok if you need a place. It would probably be better in the afternoon when people aren't brunching.

I flagged the waitress to ask for the bill (because I was NOT going to continue eating) and showed her the slug. She said "oh sorry" but that was about it. She did not offer any kind of compensation and brought me the full bill with no further explanation or apology for the slug. It was like it didn't happen. As mentioned before this place was empty for brunch. However, in the late, late afternoon/early evenings I noticed it would be packed. Perhaps this place is better for coffee and dessert. One other thing to mention is they have free wifi but when you ask for the password they won't give it to you. They will insist they enter it on your phone themselves. I don't generally like strangers touching my phone because I don't know what they may do. I guess they have never thought of changing the wifi password daily... Tip: Don't sit next to the plants.
