My roof had some challenges that were worst than we expected and Joey let my contractor get them up to code while it delayed his crew. Joey was onsite everyday to resolve any issues that came up. Joseph, the owner, was very knowledgeable and easy to work with as well as his foreman Saul and his crew. We had cracked tiles replaced and a small leak repaired near the valley drainage area, as well as widening the drainage valley to prevent further clogs and leaks. Joseph estimate was very reasonable compared to the other estimates we received. He also was able give us a day within a week to do the repair which was the fastest of all our quotes. He also made the extra effort to try to match our tile since the manufacturer went out of business. I asked Joe De Lorenzo to install a roof vent for a bathroom fan. Although I had already purchased a roof vent kit from a local home improvement big box store, Joe suggested that I should return the kit and he would install a different type of vent with a much wider flange and a rounder profile. He quickly installed his recommended vent and applied a fresh coat of paint to all other vents on my roof. As it turned out, I later learned from further research that Joe's suggestion was the right one. The vent kits from the big box store, due to their narrower flanges and squared shapes had more problems with deterioration and leakage. Our roof was replaced about 6 years ago by a well regarded company in the San Gabriel area. Shortly after, when the rainy season began it became apparent that there was a leak where the room addition attached to the house. Since we were still under warranty, they came out and repaired it. All was well for years as the drought really didn't allow for a good test. The few small showers this past December revealed that the leak was still there. Interestingly, the roofing company was no longer in business so I called around. With El Nino rains coming soon I found that all the roofing companies were booked for the next 3 months. I called De Lorenzo's and was leaving a VM when Joseph picked up after hearing that my request was for a leak repair. Joseph explained that his roofing crew is busy as all the other roofing companies but as the owner with 30 years of experience, he personally specializes in roof leaks. So he had no problem coming over within a few days with all his leak repair gear and got the job done right. He claims that he has a knack for repairing leaks and I can now attest to his ability as heavy rains have just tested the roof about 4 weeks after his repair. He wasn't cheap but he did patch about 10 spots that were suspect and spent about 4 hours total from arriving until departure. The wife griped about the price initially but complimented how good the repair was after the heavy rains. Joseph is the man when it comes to roof leaks. I previously had him personally do a garage drain. Now, I have had him do my house (flat) roof. I have no complaints and know the roof was done very well. I am completely satisfied with De Lorenzo's Guaranteed Roofing. I received 3 estimates for work on my roof. They all said I needed a new roof and the cost would be between $10K - $11K. I wasn't expecting the cost to be so high. When De Lorenzo's came out for an estimate to my surprise Mr. De Lorenzo said I did not need a new roof and the life expectancy of my current roof was easily 15 years. He did recommend to replace all the ridge caps. He also informed me that the manufacturer of the current caps went bankrupt because of product failure. DGR replaced all the caps at a cost of $1,200. Mr. De Lorenzo was the only honest company to actually tell me what was really needed and saved me thousands of dollars. I can appreciate the honesty and integrity of Mr. De Lorenzo and his company.
