After an evening stroll in downtown Ghent, we were hungry and it was time for dinner. The restaurants along the way rather belonged to the higher price category, and we did not want to spend EUR 25 each for dinner. So we were looking for something more modest. On Vlasmarkt we discovered De Dulle Friet.
It is a typical Belgian (or Dutch) Frituur. There were a few tables for eating in the restaurant there. We ordered sausage, Croquet (an always surprising deep fried thing with different fillings, here goulash). For the second course each of us ordered a hamburger. Everything was well. The prices were moderate and the service very friendly. They spoke English and some German.
