First off: Service is the best I've ever had in Europe. Attentive, quick, and beyond friendly.
Beer and wine menu was short, but at least for us, both choices were really good.
The food is mediocre. The crust is thin and super tasty, except at least on our white pizza, the center was SO soggy that you couldn't pick up the pizza without the crust almost falling apart in soggy, wet chunks.
We got the Amatriciana, which was somewhat favorful thanks to the chorizo, but was still underwhelming and in desperate need of additional seasoning. Also extremely oily.
We got a half and half white pizza, half Bosco, half Scamorza.. Bland, bland and bland. If it weren't for the truffle oil, this would have been a soggy disaster. We salt and peppered the top, which added SOME flavor, but not enough to make this a good pizza.
Ambience is slightly bizarre, and feels like eating inside of a shed, as almost EVERYTHING is made of unfinished plywood. Seating is slightly cramped for the 2 person tables (even by European standards), so expect to hear your neighbor's conversations and have awkward eye locks during dinner. The open kitchen is nice, albeit slightly noisy (as open kitchen's always are).
Also, they open at 6, not 5, and is super easy to miss, as other than an A frame chalkboard on the sidewalk there's no real signage until they open the doors and light up the heart above it. Look for two huge black doors on the right hand side of the street.
I can't say I would come back. This is the least flavorful Italian food I've ever had, unfortunately. read more
