DO NOT USE DDS PLUMBING!!!! They are NOT upfront with their pricing and have horrible customer service! I have owned five homes and my current home has a sump pump. I bought the property in Aug. 2025 and it was noted in the disclosures that a new pump was installed in 2023. Around Nov. 2024, I started to notice an unpleasant smell coming from the sump pump located in the laundry room. It got worse and worse which led me to contact my HOA. I was told the homeowner is responsible for maintaining the pump. I called my home warranty company and they dispatched pumping co #1. They sent ONE plumber out and he informed me the problem was due to the vent and lid not being sealed properly when the new pump was installed. Said company wasn't permitted to do the job because the issue wasn't covered under my home warranty. I then contacted the company that installed the pump for the previous homeowners. I was told their warranty did not transfer to a new homeowner (fine) and that it would be $195 per hour plus any parts that were needed. I told the receptionist, Celeste, that the previous plumber had difficulties opening the lid (as it is heavy) so rather than risk a potential back injury, they may want to send two guys. At NO TIME when I mentioned this did Celeste inform me that an additional person would cost an additional $185 per hour - so a total of $380 per hour. If she had told me that, I would have called another company. When I received my invoice for $987.50, I called DDS and was told I was being charged for an additional man....that I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. They took ZERO accountability for not informing me of the charge up front. In addition to no accountability, the smell is still emanating from the source AND I now have the pump alarm going off every time I do more than two loads of laundry at a time. The alarm did not go off once before DDS plumbers serviced my pump. I have since had a different plumbing company come out for a free estimate and during the conversation, he asked if the previous company suggested not only resealing the lid/vent to ensure the smell doesn't permeate through my house, but also said they should have suggested using a hydro jet of hot water to help eradicate the current build up of bacteria inside the tank that may be contributing to an odors similar to methane. One man was quoted for the job. Needless to say, I will NEVER use DDS plumbing again and will ensure I tell my realtor agents to not recommend them to their clients unless they want to OVER PAY and not have the job done properly!!! read more

If I could give this business 10 stars, I would! The business is managed with such a degree of integrity, kindness, and professionalism that I have not seen in many years. I own a 5 year old large home with boiler system for the heated floors and hot water. When the boiler shut down, I called at least 10 plumbers near me to service it, but none of them knew how to fix it...including my regular plumber who I consider to be very good. Someone finally recommended DDS. DDS is not in our area but they sympathized with the situation and made the drive to get us up and running. Everyone from the owner to the receptionists (Nancy and Judy) was so helpful and just really nice. Scotty is the one who took on the job. He is an absolute gem of a human being and is exceptional at what he does. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending DDS for any plumbing job. If I were in a position to build another home, I would hands down hire them for the project. read more

I live in an older house, and when I bought a new stove, I was informed that my gas valve was the wrong size for the new stove. I called DDS Plumbing, and spoke with Katy (sp?), who was very pleasant, and the company made me a priority, and came out the same afternoon! There was a miscommunication with the man (Franz) who installed a new pipe, and the next morning I detected an odor of gas. The Gas Company came right out, shut off the gas, and indicated a pipe mismatch. I called DDS, and they again made me their top priority, coming right out and installing a new pipe! Problem solved. Sump Pump Emergency! The last major rainfall that we had filled up my sump pump catch basin and started inching toward my garage door. I called DDS Plumbing and explained my problem and even though they didn't have anyone available to fix my problem Joe Quintana--the service manager--was at my house in about an hour with a loaner sump pump saving my garage from flooding. Amazing! Joe tells me that the problem could be a clog or that one or both pumps might be bad--preparing me for the worst. About a week later after everything dried out, John Charshafian, shows up and cleans out the sump pump catch basin, tests the pumps, check valves and then cables the pipe to the street. He tells me that the pumps are both in working order! He even sprayed down the drive way leaving it cleaner than it was before. Thanks guys! read more

My realtor recommended DDS and I'm happy that he did! Needed a clean-out installed at our new home as the home inspection found that one wasn't present. Given the age of the home, and the number of trees in the area, it was a good preventative step. Garrett came out with a second plumber, and knocked out the job. They were professional, explained in detail what was happening in the system, walked me through the video feed of the piping and explained what I should be on the lookout for in the future. Very communicative, on time, and even under their estimated budget (which almost never happens)! They still have another trip to make for a smaller add-on piece of work, but overall, I'm a very satisfied customer. read more

6 years ago we had a chance to use this company for our re-pipe to PEX. Our contractor insisted on using "his" guy. Well, we're sitting here 6 years later still commiserating over having used that idiot. He quit the 1/2 way through the job! He put in a water conditioner using salt which we told him was not what we ordered. We ordered a whole home filter to get rid of the chemicals that West Basin uses. DDS to the rescue! They knew the right filter to get, had it installed and took away the $5,000 waste of money the idiot put in. We love them. Will use them again if we need it. read more

We have had new toilets put in; garbage disposal issues and Garrett even helped install my Kangen Water Machine.He is the best!!! Customer service horrible. I am a repeat customer and every time I've relied on DDS, they have dropped the ball. The first time the service rep, Joe had to be continually reminded of my job. The second time, a broken water heater needed replacing. Tech came out on Thursday to quote job. I was told Friday morning I would have a quote. It's now late Monday morning and I still have not heard back. Meanwhile Surfline Plumbing has taken over the job and I am very happy that I've chosen a new plumber. read more

Sorry, but I wanted to give the community a general heads up.... We have had DDS several times into our home for plugs and they repaired things quickly. Based upon those experiences we invited them to my parent's home to provide service to clear the drain in their tube. Long story short, the job went from a $250 service call to a recommended $450 Hydrojet clean out to a $10,000 job that would have required the jackhammering of the concrete foundation, distruction of a wall and flooring material. They recommended that the drain line had failed and was "leaking". Say what?! In the process of conducting their initial $250 service they punched a 10" hole in the wall and damaged the access panel to the back of the tub. The hole was "hidden" by a huge chrome disk that didn't even cover the extent of their distruction to the wall. Anyway, we quickly brought in another highly recommended plumbing company and within 1 hour of arriving the young tech had removed a huge plug of hair, resulting in the completely clearing of the drain. Imagine if we had allowed my parents home to be broken up to "repair" a broke leaking line. What a joke. These guys never even had the nerve to return my call when I first asked for an explanation of their $10,000 estimate. Stay away. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! We had a problem where our newly installed shower was causing the pipes to rattle which after 4 hours of trying and failing to resolve the issue the plumber who was more than happy to bill us in full for not fixing the issue. (Another plumber was called the next day and was able to fix it in less than 10 minutes). We also needed the plumber to locate and turn off the water for the entire house for which he charged us $125 and it only took him 10 minutes. I was not present for when they wrote up their scammy bill. Congrats DDS you got my business once and won't ever again. I hope others read the review and call someone else. I seriously don't know how this company stays in business. I purchased a home from a company that used DDS for the plumbing and we have had numerous issues since moving in. On a few of the items, I had to call another plumbing company to come out because their people didn't know what they were doing. I could write a lengthy, detailed negative review about each item but I don't want to waste more time on this company. John the owner is a nice enough person and I think means well, but I just think they are too big, have no quality control and have hired some less than good plumbers. We were having problems with the hot water in our master bathroom. Scalding hot water would intermittently come out of both our shower head and bathroom sink making taking a shower almost impossible. I called DDS and they were able to get Garrett out to the house that afternoon. He came in and put Booty's on over his work boots, assessed the problem, informed what potential issues were and his concerns about the fix. I called because our kitchen sink was clogged. Sean came out to look at it and he said would need to hydro jet the clean-out drain for kitchen sink. If I chose to just get it snaked, he said they would have to come back out in a couple months to snake it again. So decided to hydro jet since Sean said that would totally solve problem. When he was done, I had a cesspool of water with food and grease all over the side and back of my house. He said it couldn't drain because I had too many roots in area drains. So he left me with a smelly body of water by my house. I had to call his supervisor to have someone come out to clean it up . The service mgr, Joe came out and cleaned some of it up. However, a week and a half later my kitchen sink is backed up again. So I just paid $350 to get my kitchen drain hydro jetted, was left with a mess, and had a clogged kitchen drain again! I had to threaten to call the owner before the Svc. Mgr said he would send someone out to check out my kitchen sink. The second person could not fix it. The next day asked a neighbor to suggest plumber and they came out and snaked my kitchen clean out (about 30 ft) and unclogged my kitchen sink! DDS told me I would need to break up my concrete and put in new piping. When I asked the other plumbers, they said I didn't need to do that and it looked like pipes were plastic and not very old. I was totally ripped off by DDS, they don't know what they are doing. Horrible experience with them. Do not use DDS Plumbing whatever you do. read more
