I went to DD's this afternoon the one on Stockton Boulevard that I hate to go here. I talked to a manager Miss Macy and let her know that I was gonna call and make a complaint. It was a young lady in there. I asked the security if it was OK for me to take my bags and leave my bags at the front he said I had a choice I could or I could take him. I took him at the end when I was finished and I went up to the front I told the young lady I have my Burlington bags in here and I have my receipt. I got the permission from the security guard. The lady looked at my receipt and looked like she had to think. Why would you double look at my receipt and take forever like you had to look at every item holding up the line. I swear I hate this CD they make you feel uncomfortable. Yeah it's not the best neighborhood it's on Stockton Boulevard. I don't know they mistaken me as a hooker at these little hookers that be still in here is really jacked up Another thing that's funny. She act like she act like I was like I was gonna take something. why would I come in there and I head over to $300 worth of stuff and I showed her my receipt and it made me feel like you know I wanted to really return my shit back because I was very upset about that so Mrs Macy said oh I'm sorry that you had to deal with that and I hope I hope you have a better day it's just really sad you spend money and you get treated the way you do I would never do that to a customer of mine. I'd rather go to the one on Mac Road in Florence. They don't do that. They let you take your bags in and this even worse over there. They just they make you feel they make you feel very comfortable on at the ones on Mac Road in Florence they make you feel really welcome in there. They're really nice and stuff this one I used to like it but I guess I have to take my business elsewhere but that's really jacked up and her name starts with a C she sits in the front some Latino lady and I'm not racist cause my husband is Latino but it's very rude is very great in the way how they treat you there. It's really you need to go practice your customer service or at least know how to read so you can see a Burlington bag and a receipt that says be on there, but I don't know what happened. Excuse me. Plenty of parking in the shared lot. A little busy in the early afternoon on a weekend. The floor could use some sweeping. Hand sanitizer available near the entrance. The staff don't wear masks. The clothing racks were less full than they normally would be. The shoe selection for size 5 is abysmal, but that's how it usually is. My mother had a horrible experience with the Manager and security in this store. They walked into the store and was not greet to only hear that people coming in behind them being greeted. My mom spoke up about it and asked "why we didn't get a greeting" the managers rudely asked her "if there was a problem" and began being very confrontational, attempting to engage my mother in argument. They were then followed around by security for no reason whatsoever. My mom asked for the manager and was surprised to find out that the rude lady was the manager. Instead of her conducting herself in a professional manner she acted like an ignorant street thug. DD's are cheaper than the major chains. Jake's & Co. 6-pack, X-large Boxer Briefs are $11.84. VSport 5-pack, X-Large Boxer Briefs are $5.99 and there was a sale on wallets, $5.99-7.99. I can't find a deal like that at Target or even Amazon, where boxer briefs are priced anywhere between $16.99--24.00 and this is for a three-pack. The employees left me alone while I was shopping. DD's has a decent selection of men's clothing. Its women's clothing is huge and takes up more than half the store. The only drawback is there's only two registers open: One for purchases and another for returns. This made waiting in-line a bit long. read more

A large clothing store for men, women and children. The first thing I thought when I walked through the doors, it felt like a Ross or Marshall's, well this is a discount clothing store, owned by Ross Dress for Less, seems they are marketing to the $30K income shopper with dd's. The prices are $3-$15 for womens tops. The racks are split up like Ross with Misses, Juniors, tops, pants, dresses, etc...Prices are really good, the clothes are more on the casual side and some are a little tired looking. There are handbags but I don't remember if there were Domestics and Housewares sections, seemed like mostly clothes. Racks are messy and some are fairly empty. Talk about some really good discounts and some really good deals. From houseware to close to toys for the kids the ultimate shopper just can't go wrong. I truly enjoy shopping at dd's. I have found some really unique items such as flamingo painting and I found some really useful items such as side tables. Out of all the times I've been shopping here, I have always walked out of the store with more than one item because I just can't pass up a good deal. We decided dd's is Ghetto Ross. If Ross caters to middle class folks on a budget, dd's caters to my peeps who really know about the struggle of making ends meet but wanting you and your home to look good while you do it. To be quite honest, dd's is kind of awesome. Super cheap - almost thrift store cheap, except everything is new. I found a comforter set for $29.99 that I absolutely LOVE - and I am 1,000 thread count Egyptian Cotton picky! It stands out as a comforter that will be around in 10 years to use for floor pallets (you know, when you make a big bed on the floor to put the kids on and watch movies). For $100 or less, I think you could almost decorate an entire apartment at dd's! I also noted that the only brand name clothes you can find that they carry are Apple Bottoms, Baby Phat, Fat Albert and South Pole. All the rest of the clothes are random cheap brands. Pretty ghetto, but I found a gorgeous purple Baby Phat bathing suit there for only $9.99! read more

I couldn't help but get down while sifting through the racks of clothes, housewares, and outdoor furniture. Other customers were humming along too. Super cheap. Way cheaper than Marshalls' and about on par with Ross, but tidier. I have been telling my friends for weeks that I bought a dress for $8.99. I go to this place all the time. It is a place that I can go get in that shopping mood and just shop. I love that I can get shirts for $3.99. I will say if it is a shirt that you want to last for years you may not find that here but you will find something that is cute, cheap and you can wear for the season. I am so not crazy about their clothes, nor would I be recommending it to anyone UNLESS you're like me and only wear most things once or twice. Because that's as much use as you're gonna get out of their quality. Here, there is a reason why it is sold for so cheap. Hey, maybe it's just my luck? IDK. But I do know for sure that there is a pattern to this. All of my clothes that are purchased from dd's falls apart one way or another after the first one or two washes. OR they shrink drastically. They do however, have some pretty good deals on tights/leggings though. Worth buying. Overall, they're still A-OK because I am big on things for the home. & they do carry some pretty good organizers here & there. And also home decors. Love shopping here! The thing that first got me addicted to this store was PURSES!!! Every single time I buy a purse from this store I always get so many compliments on it. I slowly started checking out other things in the store as well. Like Shoes! They have cute shoes but never in my size. The reason I give it a four is because the clothes are so mushed together. why do i like DDs so much..cause i am a consumer, not the owner of the means of production. its funny how people want to spend 40 to 60 bucks on a shirt at Macys which more thank likely, its overstock will be sold at a discount y the distributor to Ross and DDs discounts, simply because the suckers didnt pick it up when it was expensive. Ross resells it a lower price, but way above what they paid, and so does DDs. In the end, everyone makes a buck. Except the suckers that like overpriced clothes. I bought here some tite Kani shirts. The people that see me and ask me where i got it dont even have a clue it was from a discount store. Get real, save your money, look for the value deals, and invest the savings in your future. I entered DD's Discounts today for the first time. I wanted to see what it was all about. Looks very similar to Ross, but far more messy. I shop at Nordstrom's and Macy's, so I disagree with the poor reviews stating it would be awful for those of us who are used to more expensive stores, or who stated that Kmart is a bad place. If you have issues of pride, this might not be a good store for you, but for those of us who like and are proud to find deals, DD's is great. I purchased a 10 dollar pair of clean, comfy, new leg warmers for a mere 50 cents. As others have said, the soundtrack is great, but the lines are a bit slow so make sure you don't have somewhere to go. read more

I have been to several dd's, but this one is horrible! It is messy, the sizes are all mixed up, and they employees are SLOW. I found a pair of shoes I liked after looking through every rack because they were not in order. Then I waited 30 minutes in line! Once I finally got helped, they had one of those security sticks on the shoes, and she couldn't get it off, so I couldn't even buy the stupid shoes. DDs is a great place to shop. Only thing is you shopping & need to use restroom & you spending $400/$500 everytime you enter the doors. It's a shame you have to run out & go find a bear by local store to use restroom but you shopping at DDs. The company needs to fix this. This is the only thing missing. The store can be a mess from time to time but if people would just hang the clothes back up and not throw them over the rack then there wouldn't be an issue. DD's gets five stars for prices, but the quality is around 2 stars. This is a great place to grab a few items to fill in your wardrobe, or experiment with trends, like maxi dresses and rompers, without breaking the bank. Huge selection for plus sizes, including pants, shirts, skirts and dresses. Again, the quality is not the greatest, but you can find a few diamonds in the rough. I have seen pieces from Torrid (the hot topic plus size branch) here for 1/5 the cost in the mall. Awesome. The place is definitely a hunting ground. You have to work to find what you want. Kinda messy, gives a thrift store vibe, but with all new items. But if you are willing to put in the effort, you will be rewarded. I shop dd's EVERY chance I get. I have worked at Ross, Sears, Factory 2U and Wal-Mart's. I have to tell you, when I was Head of Department and Key holder at Factory 2U when we got notice of their permanent closing.. Well let's just say, I wasn't anything less than devastated. Completely and utterly CRUSHED!! Not just for losing a job I loved and excelled at quickly, making head of children's department within 3weeks of working there. I literally spent my entire check there every payday. Which wasn't hard given I had 6 daughters. So when dd's took their place. It was beyond amazing. So.. I shop all the dd's store I can, when I can, but.. The Stockton blvd. dd,s is hands down The Very BEST dd's DISCOUNTS yet!! They have more name brands than any. I can not say enough about this store! First off, I love the prices at this store. You can find really cute stuff for cheaper than Ross. But that is if you can find them at all. This seems to be a very disorganized store, not just this location but everywhere. It is so hard to shop here because there is no organized system. Just stuff thrown everywhere. And I attribute that to there only being at most two employees in the whole store, which I only see as cashiers or dressing room. So who is actually keeping the place organized and clean? No one. I come here for only one purpose, and that is to hunt down my hello kitty!! i got so much hello kitty added to my home collection.. bathroom, bedroom, decor, toys (yes toys!), PJ's.. i dont shop for clothes there tho, for my bf yes.. super deals on URBAN wear (ecko, g-unit, rocawear..etc)! They have nice handbags and sometimes they carry the good shoes from dept. stores for hella cheap.. forreals. i got 2 pairs of fabulous KITSON sneaks.. 12-19 bucks!! retail is like 80-100.. i felt so good buying them, plus on my way out i caught this beautiful white with floral print bag.. i had to grab. If I could give it no stars I would , the dressing room ladies are always hella rude, the dressing room lady told me i couldnt try the bra on cause it had a censor on it , and when I asked what happen? Cause I didn't exactly hear her she began speaking to me in Spanish like if I couldn't understand her , I asked her why once I understood what she said about the censors and then she laughed and said they were censored together like excuse me if i didnt notice they were censored together, and then and not to mention the cashiers too , I went to try and complete my purchase and the whole time they're just gossiping talking about tequila and food at all volumes, and when I go up to ask one of the cashiers if she's open she tells me no and looks at me like if I asked a dumb question and I stood around the area of cashiers and she tells me "you can go back to the line" I was the only person in line, I had ONE pair of pants, and then she proceeds to help someone else when they go up to her. I calmed myself and tried to just wait regardless of having dealt with two disrespectful ladies there but they were just taking their sweet time and continuing to gossip and talking about "am I gonna be invited to the tacos and tequila?" And about some party one of them had been to. I don't really care when people are talking amongst themselves as coworkers, its good to have a pleasant time while you're at work, but its not okay to be disrespectful to the costumers when they aren't being disrespectful to you. I waited a good 2 minutes but after seeing that I was clearly going to be there like 5 more minutes after dealing with that attitude of the cashier and dressing room lady , I ain't had no patience to stand there and listen to the rest of their gossip as they took their sweet time to ring up the lady. There was 3 cashiers and only one was busy and the other 2 weren't doing anything besides standing there talking with one another. This isn't the first bad experience I've had there with the cashiers and dressing room women, I'd like something to be done cause that isn't something I like dealing with especially when I ain't being disrespectful in the first place. If anything needs to be said or if there's any way I can further my complaint to someone higher up i would like to because that was ridiculous and I left highly irritated one because of the experience two because it isn't easy for me to find jeans that fit right but who's gonna wanna wait and just listen to that shit and have people be disrespectful to them ?
