Where do I even start with this location?! It's a mess from when you first walk in. In every section there's items on the floor making it hard to maneuver with a cart. The aisles are so small and crowded making it hard to navigate and impossible if there's another cart or person in the aisle. There are some great finds but it's rare or hard to find. Many of the merchandise is scattered throughout the store in random areas. Some of the staff are friendly while others won't even say a word to you. The line is also long and they have 1-2 cashiers. this is by far my favorite dds and today they really came thru! I lost my phone and went thru the whole store trying to find it. the female security lady found it wish I would've gotten her name. Truly a lifesaver! One of the employees offered to call my phone but made me feel as of though I was a burden for asking. read more

If you shop here, you WILL find great and inexpensive clothing and other merchandise. This is the one and only reason I continue to visit this location. If you shop here, you WILL be treated like a common criminal. The majority of the employees are sure all customers are out to steal their $3.99 shirts, so when this happens to you, don't take it personally. At dd's, customers = shoplifters. If you shop here, you WILL wait in an incredibly long and slow-moving line, and no matter how long the line becomes, there will only be two registers open. That is unless it's near closing time. In that case, they will herd you out of there like cattle and will incessantly announce over the intercom that they are closing soon. If you shop here, you WILL NOT being using the bathroom as there are no restrooms open to the public. Bottom line-keep your expectations low, keep your bladder empty, and prepare yourself for a seamlessly endless line at checkout. read more

I get the attraction to this store due to the amazing prices. I easily filled my cart with clothes and Knick knacks. However, this place is chaotic with little organization. You literally have to look through everything and everywhere. Too many people and too much stuff. If you have a question don't bother to ask any of the employees because they won't go out of their way to help. There is a lot of dust and I don't think they have ever emptied their garbage cans at the entrance. They don't have a public restroom. I love love love their selection and prices. I can get a low quality basics and name brands. From shoes & clothes to car accessories to kitchenware. I have seen Nike & Guess brands there, the highest price I ever seen was $60. Now the actual shopping is not the greatest and its b/c of the customers. They open packs of socks and underwear so u can never get a pack that's not taped up. Parents let their kids run through the racks and aisles and refuse to watch them. Customers let clothes fall on the floor and then run over them with their carts, ppl throw things they dont want everywhere, it can be a nightmare trying to get around in there. B/c of the prices large families like to shop there, making the lines RIDICULOUSLY long. I wouldn't suggest shopping here after 3pm or if you are only grabbing a few things. read more

Ok, so I hesitated going to this store because of the reviews but the deals seemed great. So i decided to go in on a Wednesday afternoon. First steps in I am greater by the guard. I had a bag and they asked to hold it for me. Which I get, I mean this store is placed dead center of MARYVALE, I don't blame them. I immediately spot the line and it's a little long but there are 2 cashiers who seem to be moving the customers out fast. I embark on my shopping adventure. I grab a bunch of clothes to try on, the fitting room makes me hang it on the bar, they pat it down, seemed odd but as soon as I step in the fitting room at it all begins to make sense. A lot of these clothes don't have security tags, again this store is in MARYVALE. I already walk in to one of the fitting room stalls and there are ripped tickets and I even found an alarm that had been broken off. So I get it. I tried on my stuff and left the fitting room. So far my experience hasn't been too bad. As I continued shopping the store was looking a little messy but I also saw a huge family shopping and making such a mess, I could see the employees getting frustrated because this family was ruining what they had just finished cleaning and organizing. Again it's MARYVALE, shop at any other store in maryvale and it's the same thing. Stores like these are a reflection of the community it is in. So if you're looking for a boujie experience where employees let you roam freely, I suggest you try a jc penny or forever 21 but get ready to drop some heavy cash on 1 or 2 outfits. Don't go to a store in Maryvale expecting the same service you receive in a store in Scottsdale. I will definitely be doing most of my shopping at DD's now. These deals are bangin! read more

Has anyone witnessed how employees are treated? Like thieves I tell you. I was exiting the store behind two employees and the security checked their purse! I only know because I opened my purse so he can check. Security stated " nah we only check employees purses". My respect to the hard workers who get bossed around by the security. I do not support shopping at DD'S Discount. Go to Ross or Fallas right across the street. read more

Everything is very cheap and good quality. But the line that you have to stand in to purchase is HORRIBLE! It makes me want to just leave my items and go to Ross. There are only 1-2 cashiers and lines reach the back of the store and there is still 1-2 cashiers. Then there are always screaming kids which just tips me over the edge. I love this store for the deals although I lose my sanity while in the long forever line. Come here if you're in no rush. read more

dd's DISCOUNTS stores are similar to a ROSS but with cheaper prices. These stores don't have public restrooms. How can a multi state chain store this big does not have public restrooms? My pregnant wife and I went to this location today when we were stopped by their Loss Prevention guy and was told that she could not bring her water bottle inside. I told him she was pregnant, his reply was there is a water fountain in the store. We turned around and left. I would understand if it was soda but this was water for my pregnant wife. I'm never coming to this store ever again. If I could put no stars I would. read more

Good clothes for cheap. However when you go to try on clothes they act like you're trying to rob the store. The security guard takes his job way too seriously and the store is always overcrowded with 1-2 cashiers. I'll be back but the way the store is run sucks. read more
