We've been to the diner several times and have always had a pleasant (no pun intended) experience. Today was no exception. I had Chicken Noodle Soup and a half a Chicken Salad Sandwich. Let's start with the soup. Loads of chicken, loads of noodles and enough carrots and celery. Broth was rich and flavorful. The half sandwich of chicken salad could not have been better. The best chicken salad I have had in a very long time plenty of finely diced chicken and celery and real mayonnaise. Came with a side of fries and pickle and coleslaw. We were seated immediately and our waiter was attentive but not hovering. We ordered and it took slightly longer than usual for our order to arrive, but the food quality made up for it. Parking is not a problem as there is a lot attached to the diner. The decor is what you would expect from a diner and the restaurant is exceptionally clean. We were just here for breakfast earlier in the week so we obviously like the place.

The waitress who served my mother and her sister today, on July 13th 2026 was incredibly disrespectful and rude from the moment she sat down. Unfortunately she wasn't able to get her name, others wise her name would be stated in this written message. The waitress acted in as they were an inconvenience to her, and spoke in such an unprofessional mannerism. She made them felt so uncomfortable, my family left before even able to order their food. Customer service is one of the most important parts of any restaurant, and unfortunately this experience completely ruined their visit. No family should be treated the way we were. They came to enjoy a meal together, but instead left feeling frustrated and disrespected. I hope management addresses/trains their waitress on their mannerisms. I review diners on a tied and tested method called Doddy where I take in to account three stars to account for diner requirements such as: - Booths - Free refill coffee - Standard all day breakfast - Bar seating - Desert display - Under or around $10 per person - Non themed foods - Open at least 18 hours - White table wear - Named after person or location After this use the remaining two stars to determine food and eat. DDs diner scores at a strong 4.5 stars for passing every requirement of the Doddy criteria and a 1.5 for food which was superb. The coffee was delicious, black, and ever flowering. By far best food in town. Not your typical diner food or atmosphere. The specials are always so creative I come back just to see what they have created next. It really seems like the waitstaff has improved a lot within the last few months I think there is a new manager because the last few times I was in there I don't see the same gentleman sitting in the 1st booth anymore how unprofessional can you be!!!! I come here about once a week, and I've never had something I didn't like. What really got me though was tonight I came in sort of late, and I was having a really rough day. The hostess came up to me in the bathroom when she heard me crying and asked if I was okay, if anyone was bothering me, etc. She kept an eye on me and when I left, she gave me a piece of cake free with a note saying "Smile :)". We used to go every week but we stopped going because lately the food was just "meh" just okay. New manager is rude, it's not the same when you're welcome at a place with a smile.
