This has to be the worst venue to see a concert in all of southern New England. I saw a concert there last night. Great show, but here are just a few of the "issues" I had with DCU: - Bathrooms...Men's and Ladies are both equally bad. Not enough of them, at least a 10 minute line for the MEN'S room and longer for ladies, only 2 urinals in the men's room and 5 stalls in the ladies room. Note to DCU management: If you are running an ARENA, you need to be able to accommodate arena-sized crowds. - Staff: semi- incompetent and slow, in no hurry to move people through the turnstiles, or move them quickly through the concession lines. Little to no crowd control throughout the arena. - Concessions: Expensive yes, but that's to be expected. I made two visits to the concession stand. First visit: the worker screwed up the register and it took several minutes for her to stop flailing over it, find a manager, get it voided, and get the line moving again. Then I asked for a beer. She said "they are warm, is that ok?" Sure, give me a warm beer....That was better than the 2nd visit to the stand, when I asked for another beer and she said "we're out of beer but are expecting a delivery soon." Are you kidding me? Great show, but Mickey Mouse facilities, staffing, flow control, concessions, etc. read more

No, nuh uh, not good! I hate this place! Can we talk about how the line for the ladies room is at least 30 minutes long before any show and up to 45 minutes during any breaks? And why do they let people line up at both the entrance and the exit? Two long lines of people to fight over 3 or 4 stalls? It's absolute madness! We went to the dcu center for a concert and we stood up in our seats to dance. The usher came over to us and asked us to sit. It was not fair to stand at a concert. It was an awful experience.as the band was asking us to stand and dance and we felt we couldn't enjoy ot because the ushe asked us to sit. I don't knownthat i will go back to this venue. Not sure what is up with this place....here tonight for the Rock Paper Scissors tour concert. The place is a big dust bowl. The seats are covered in dirt. I mean you can write your name in the dust! We don't have great seats but certainly not the worst in the house - under a canopy with slightly obstructed views. I'm hoping the concert makes up for the icky environment. Need to go home and shower. read more

5 stars for being small and intimate feeling (not a bad seat in the house) and having excellent acoustics. 1 star for awful concessions and bathroom lines 1 star for almost impossible to navigate hallways 1 star for very limited bars and restaurants in the immediate area. Been here for The Kiss Concert and for MTG Tournament. This place is amazing. Never been disappointed. Clean bathrooms, professional staff, kind but efficient security. read more

I'm not really sure exactly what renovations the DCU Center supposedly just completed - nothing is better that's for sure. Went to Pearl Jam last night and the concession/beer lines were ridiculously slow. Walked into a men's room which had maybe 7 stalls and no urinals - huh? Who designed this place?? read more

I've been waiting in line for almost an hour for just a beer. I am amazed that this simple task is so daunting for the DCU center. They are wasting everyone's time by having them pour cans into cups. It slows the line down and is making everyone angry. The staff are doing nothing to address the issue. I can't believe a place is so unable to handle large crowds read more

Parking was easy and cheaper than I thought it would be ($20), sound was great, staff was very friendly - not a bad venue if you're out in Worcester! read more

Very good seats to see the Worcester sharks this is their last season before moving to California.

I had my graduation here and it served its purpose for our school and families. They hold a lot of events here. Music concerts, MMA fights, tennis, in-door football, and of course the worcester sharks. read more

Excellent small venue so the seats are almost always decent.

Not sure why people hate on this place for concerts, but for Worcester Sharks hockey games I found this venue enjoyable. Really nice inside, spacious concourse, friendly people, good hockey. Parking is easy, and its in a decent area; What more do you need? read more

Not an impressive venue. Food is overpriced and very limited selection (they did not have coffee at 9 am). Bathrooms needed more frequent attention; numerous fixtures dripping and soap dispenser broken; no changing table in ladies room. read more

I have never waited so long to get through security! TSA is faster, in fact the concert was late because there were still so many to get in the doors. Appreciate the safety but they need to be better organized and plan to move people through the process. The seats were way too tight, felt like we were all sitting on top of each other. Cram them in!! Gotta get the money. I average 8 concerts a year, hoping no more are at the DCU Center. read more

Went with my little nieces for Disney on Ice a couple months ago, the show was great the prices for stuff not so great. The venue wasn't bad but the lines for bathroom were a bit much. read more

Saw the Avett Bros and Brandy Carlile last night. Security was extra tight, but the security team was friendly and fast. Concessions were a little pricey but I guess that's to be expected. Ushers were very friendly and courteous. Parking was only $15 right across the street.Overall my experience there was very positive. The sound was excellent and there's really not a bad seat in the house. As with any Avett Bros show the crowd was friendly, funny and well behaved. I recommend this venue for any concert. read more

I would love to go and see alot more shows but I have trouble with stairs. They have no handrailings on the stairs. Almost fell down the stairs when I was leaving the last time I was there. If you have a disability stay away from DCU read more

i adore the staff here from the people selling tickets, to the ticket takers, security, bartenders...i go to rock and shock every year and also life in color every year and have never had a bad experience the bathrooms are always clean and there are outlets available to charge your phone in every room if need be they also have a mini bar at rock and shock which is great because i dont alway want wine and prefer a jack and pepsi opposed to sutterhome brand wine they also have a bunch of food options and juices i normally just grab food at unos across the street but it is good to know it is there if i need it....i feel if you respect the staff they respect you and it is ok to ask how they are doing too they have to deal with thousands of people for over 12 hours..i look forward to going to more events here! read more

Saw Cirque du Soleil here...Extremely dissapointed. Sat basically back stage, could not see the performance, the TV screens, or anything more than 5 feet above the stage because the poorly designed upper deck blocks your view. The tickets were called 'obstructed view' but there was NO VIEW. It is disgusting that they would sell tickets in these areas. If you actually want to SEE the show, you need to pay at least $118/ticket. Very dissapointed, and will not return. read more

love coming here for rock and shock. they have a little food place inside with pretty good options.burgers , salads and popcorn ect. we always end up parking up the street from the center but it's not too bad of a walk read more

Crappy venue. Filthy rest rooms. Wi-Fi so weak it was unusable. Concession have poor choice of food and all but a few were cash only. DCU needs to get into the 21st Century. read more

We were seated in section 212 during the Garth Brooks concert on 2/27/16. We had a great view albeit from the side but we couldn't hear a thing! This venue did zero justice for the amazing show Garth was putting on! Luckily he was great and the crowd was very high energy so the show was still somewhat enjoyable. We have never been to the DCU center and will not return. The sound system was a complete disappointment. I have never been to a concert where the sound was so low that we could barely hear a thing. Thank god we knew most of the lyrics because all we could hear was our selves and the crowd around us singing. read more

the dcu center is a ver flexable arena that is able to retract some of its seating to hold different events like indoor motocross ,monster truck ralleys and general admission floor concerts. a big down side to the venue is the way the seating is their are 2 levels of seating all the way around and 3 levels on the 2 longsides, so their is only one concourse area for the entire arena and it can get a bit crowded and the food is barley ediable at best. a plus is every seat has a decent sightline of the entire arena. the acoustics can be good if it is a sell out but a lot of times they book shows theire that just dont draw well and leaves a lot of empty seats for the sound to bounce around a bit. their are plenty of lots around the arena to park in prices vary depending on the even but are usualt $15.00-30.00 read more

Be aware of undisclosed limited or restricted view. At the preview of Toruk the first flight we found ourselves sitting behind railings. I called the center and was told that they had always been there (33 years) and are necessary for safety. That being the case these seats have apparently been restricted view for 33 years and I'm told I'm the first ever to complain? Safety aside (not really) these seats are useless and yet full price. I was told that the show had left town and there was nothing that could be done. Of course there's something that can be done: I'm not buying a misrepresented seat or any other seat at the DCU in the future. The GM/Manager verged on rudeness - if you're planning on buying tickets I suggest you call him in person and check before purchasing your tickets, just to make sure that you be able to see what you're paying for. I'm sure he'll be happy to assist. read more
