I was actually driving somewhere else for food when I got stuck in traffic on Louetta. As I looked to my right, I saw DCG and decided to give it a try. They have a few different option types on the menu so I wasn't sure about the place. I ordered a few things to take one for the team and gauge the taste and quality. Everything was on point. It was hot, fresh, somewhat quick and most of all delicious. The gyro platter - while priced for one person - two people can probably eat off one platter. The burgers - hot and tasty. The manager, Punam, came by to check on us - making sure we liked everything. We did. One last cool tidbit - this place is open till 3 AM. I will definitely be coming back for more! read more

We came seeking lunch at a nearby new establishment, but the lines were long and the traffic insane so we headed to the quiet and empty parking lot of DCG. The peak of the day and they were empty absent on table in a cavernous dining room. Servers were nowhere to be found and the counter was deserted, eventually one scurried from the rear and took our order. We both opted for burgers listed as their specialty on the menu despite a name that touted chicken and gyros. They were sad. Dry. Limited flavor. The fries were plentiful and hot but the experience was lacking. I don't see this place surviving with much better options nearby. read more

Simple menu but delicious. They seem to be having some opening pains maybe? Burgers disappeared from the menu but are now back. (Plus whatever happened when it became a different restaurant for like 2 weeks only to revert to DCG.) Anyway, delicious -- gotten to go and eaten in several times now. We've had: chicken wrap, fish wrap (fried swai), gyro wrap, and chicken fries, as well as just the Cajun fries as a side. Love the fries - crispy, lots of good seasoning with a little kick. The wraps are messy with the sauce and loaded with filling -- don't plan on eating in your car as you drive. However, their buttery soft pitas actually hold up! I was dismayed the first one I got, expecting to have a big soppy mess that is need a fork for, but nope. Service has been good. A tiny bit slow in the grand scheme of things, compared to fast food joints, but not outrageous. Drive through is faster than a Whataburger, for instance. Unfortunately, not a fan. Here's why: Atmosphere... From the moment we walked in, the vibe was off-putting. The dining area wasn't very clean, and it was EMPTY. So IMO, no excuse... the manager was walking around touching things and people with gloves on in the lobby and then proceeded to return to the kitchen and touch food with those same gloves on. Yuck. Not to mention the food and its set up was just not very welcoming. We also observed what may have been the owner and his family come in, and while the man went in the back area, the female allowed their small child to climb on the counters where the food was and touch things. Absolutely not okay. Food... nothing short of disappointing. The rice was clumpy and the meat very spicy (with a weird red tint)! With having a limited child's menu, there could have been some sort of warning or disclaimer. The plates were small and the menu was extremely expensive as well! For 4 meals (all the same), no drinks - it was nearly $80!! Yikes! When I inquired about military discounts - the cashier laughed and said "no, we don't support that." I love this place. I am shocked it doesn't get more foot traffic than it does. It never seems busy but let me tell you, don't sleep on this one! Restaurant is clean, the service is some of the nicest people you will ever meet. We have been twice and both times have been a great experience. I wasn't sure if I would like the food since I had never had this type of food before but it was fantastic. I love a lot of flavor and this meal is full of flavor. Tried the chicken & gyro platter last nite... it was wonderful. The portions of rice & veggies were perfect, plus the proteins were plentiful. The food was great and not terribly priced. The issue was this, when we walked up to the counter, we were not greeted. The young woman who took our order appeared to be completely alone. She took our order and told us she'd let us know when it was ready. In the time it took her to prepare our food, another customer came in, waited for maybe 5 minutes, the employee said nothing to the customer, so he left. Another customer came in after that, waited 5 or so minutes until our food was ready, and was only then able to order her food. There are easily 100 restaurants on Louetta between I-45 and 249, customer service goes hand in hand with food quality, I would strongly encourage the managers or owners to train this young lady better so she can interact and be more attentive to the customers needs. We might go back, but if we do and have the same types of issues, it will be the last time. read more

My family had passed by this restaurant and decided to stop in. We're so glad we did! Very clean restaurant. The staff is so friendly, helpful and patient. We ordered a platter with gyro meat (lamb and beef) with all the vegetables and white sauce. A gyro wrap with white sauce, a kids hamburger and a side is fries. The meat was delicious and well seasoned, the bread was a great size and toasted. The white sauce was really good. The rice was so good! Such great flavor! The staff asked us what we got and wanted to know if we'd like to try the chicken. They brought us a small sample cup. I was expecting shredded chicken but it was red marinated chicken pieces. It was so well spiced with a tiny kick. Nothing terribly spicy. Next time I will take their recommendation and get a combo of the chicken and gyro. Please don't waste your money here. The servers were not friendly. I asked for chicken gyro and they added another meat to it. Their ice machine was down. Sodas tasted flat. Food was just okay. Brother went to pickup some late night eats for himself and I close to closing time . (Was unaware they close at midnight). They didn't have enough food for 2 plates so gentlemen working was nice enough to give his freshly packed meal to us in order to fulfill our full order. Great customer service. I rarely write reviews of new restaurants since I know they're still getting their groove on, however, no bumps on my first visit. Menu is basic, food is good quality, price is good when you consider the portion sizes, and the service is friendly. Inside looks like a brand new space - it's clean and modern inside with plenty of seating for diners, I got ours to go. Outside is very bright orange - you can't miss it! We got falafal and loved it - the falafal patties tasted fresh and not dry, loved the sauce, also loved the unusual toppings (tomato/cuke/onion mix, corn, and chick peas. I was a little nervous about the gyro as it was on a steam well, not sliced from a spit. However, it was every bit as delicious - very big and well seasoned chunks of it mixed with grilled onions was a nice touch. Fries were those addictive skinny fries with a Cajun spice on it. The portions were enormous - while we got pitas, we had to eat with fork and knife. The price was more than fair given each sandwich is easily two meals! There's a lot of new gyros places in these parts - and I'm not complaining- wish them the best, we will be back! read more

It was a little unusual, um, not the usual slices of lamb from the rotating rotisserie, but fresh, tasty, a wonderful mix of vegetables as well, the pita was especially good for fast food gyro.
