But if its a hot or muggy day, the photos of smiling passengers will not be indicative of your red/blue line experience. These buses have no A/C, and if you want to sit al-fresco and its a sunny day, you'll be just as sweaty. Think: "summertime Alabama prison bus experience" and this will meet that expectation.

The guy told us to get on the bus and stay on. It would do the red line, then the blue line. We could then do the evening tour. Okay then. Off we go. Finished the red line, and we're told to get off the bus. What? Last bus is at 4:30.. not what we were told. Not happy. We went on to the evening tour. I'd say it was pretty good. I did enjoy that parts of this tour. Didn't enjoy the "stories" so much. Would have liked more history. We got the bus the next morning and went to Arlington. When we finished we went to the stop, not such great bus timing. Their brochure said buses come every 15 minutes. After an hour of waiting we tried to contact BB to see what was going on? They do not have a phone number that works. There is an email address that stars it will get back to you in 24 hours.., what? We waiting over an hour and gave up for an uber. We did get another email telling us there are delays due to events. This is not okay we when have paid for a 24 hour pass that is not usable. All in all, our 24 hour pass was good for 3 hours. Reason for this? Maybe because only two buses run on Sunday. So unless you have the time to wait two hours for your next bus, it's not worth it! Do not use this service!

It was nice being a tourist in my own city, getting cute and girly with friends, and doing something different for the experience. The bus was on time, which I appreciated. The food, however, tasted a bit stale, and the entertainment on the bus was honestly kind of boring. I think the mic wasn't working well the afternoon we went because instead of sounding like singing, it came across more like screeching. The tea was cold, almost like iced tea, but I actually didn't mind because we were going over so many potholes. Hot tea spilling on me would've been a whole situation. Was it overpriced for the experience? Yes. But I got some good Instagram pics, had a cute day with my friends, and checked it off my list.

I was left, all dressed up, a mother in tow, sitting on the sidewalk on Pennsylvania Ave in DC, bc this pathetic con job left us stranded there. We had tickets for the "fancy" noon sightseeing bus. They told us to be there at least 15 min in advance. Dozens of ladies dressed to the nines - Derby hats and all. At 11:46, they texted us: Bus broke down. Trip canceled. ON MOTHER'S DAY. I should've listened to all the bad reviews. Holiday ruined, especially for the many women I talked to who drove in from up to 2 hours away. Tea Around Town should be ashamed of themselves!!!

If we could give it a ZERO STAR rating, we would certainly do so. Starting the night prior to our Mt. Vernon tour, Yohannes went overboard repeatedly texting/calling (from anxiety that we'd not show?). He was rude on the phone; for example, four minutes after texting him that we'd be 10 minutes late, he called. When I answered my phone, he was aggressive, "Where are you?!" No "Hello." No "This is Yahannes at DC Tours..." Just the accostive greeting. It got no better. My wife wanted to cancel before we started. We should have. Our driver and tour guide, Dani, picked us up at a downtown site, and did a fine job driving us to Mt. Vernon. He was a nice man (at least he had manners!), though never should be called a "tour guide." He knew nothing about the place that we couldn't read in all the plaques; and oddly would just repeat phrases from the plaques as we were reading them. It was weird, a bit awkward. We might as well have saved plenty of money, rented a car and taken ourselves. Oof, forget all the 5 star reviews...not sure how this outfit remains in business.

If we are back in DC, we will do another tour with him. Call him sign up!!! He will not disappoint.

We were lucky enough to be in a smaller van while others were in large busses, so our experience was more personalized. Dwayne knocked our socks off. He crams so much knowledge into the tour, well above and beyond the actual stops. His passion for the city and knowledge of architecture and history were impressive. He also knew his way round the current blockages/construction and was able to avoid politics while discussing the current construction which takes mad skills. He thoroughly answered any random questions we threw at him and had deep knowledge of subjects like the Red Cross and Clara Barton, I've volunteered with them for years and didn't know his fun facts. Dwayne was born for this role and may be the best tour guide I've had in my life. I now question my own passions/interests. Dwayne gave great suggestions for getting the best photos and what else we can do in his city. I wish I had more days here and could do more tours with Dwayne! He is so inspiring!

I was waiting at the marked spot for the bus stop and the driver drove past us and we had to chase down the bus before we missed it again. I had to call the company while running and they got a hold of the bus driver to let her know what happened. She opened the door and started yelling at us that we missed the bus and she shouldn't be stopping at where we caught the bus. We also got left on the bus (I kid you not) while the bus driver went inside a hotel for about 10 minutes. He didn't warn us or anything. He just turned off the bus and left. This is by far the worst tour experience ever and I will never go through this company again. Side comment: I needed to find the Big Bus stop in NYC and asked a Citysights person the location and he was completely rude when he found out that we weren't with his tour company.

We waved and Patrick beckoned us to cross the street. How much? we asked. Hop on and I'll tell you, Patrick said (probably because he was on a time schedule) He drove to the next stop and gave us the run down. We told him we had only 1 day, so he said its $48 for 1 day, good until 5:00 pm. We can go around any loop as much as we want. He said the 2 day pass is a better deal, and I think it was $5 more. It was cold outside, and so we decided why not! We shelled out $48 each and I made a bee line for the upper level, which I found out was COVERED! Woohoo! Excellent way to see the city and not freeze in the DC cold. The dome was a bit scratched up, which made some of my photos look grainy, but it gave me an idea where I wanted to "hop off" to take better ones. The loop took about 1 1/2 hours, and they give you headsets to listen to the recorded tour. We took a complete circle to see what the tour stops were. Patrick was an excellent driver, and slowed down so we could get that Kodak moment. I don't know how much other bus tours charged, but the upper deck was covered, and I noticed their competitor was not. $48 seemed steep, but in a tourist town, what do you expect?
