Located on the main street of Wenatchee, Wenatchee Natural Foods offers organic, sustainable items, with lots of locally made products. It's not the largest grocer, but the selection was fantastic. We were able to get some grocery items here during our weekend trip and also tried the items that they prepare at the cafe area towards the back of the store. At the cafe area, they have a large menu of different drinks, with smoothies that are worth checking out. I loved the chocolate smoothie, which they make with almond butter and vanilla whey, so it's naturally sweetened. I also ordered a bowl, which you can make based on the different ingredients they offer, like a base of rice or beans, with different proteins and veggies. I customized my bowl with rice, curry chickpeas, avocado and steak and seasonal veggies and it served as two meals, which was delicious. For those wanting to dine in, they have a seating area on the side of the store, with outdoor seating where it's dog-friendly. It's a win for Wenatchee to have a store like Wenatchee Natural Foods, offering a great selection of healthy, wholesome items in a community-centric setting. Over one summer, we drove about 15,000 miles and hit 70+ burger places across the state. The burger we had here rivaled some of the most memorable burgers we experienced that summer. It must be said, however, that we came here after a very long hike to Lake Colchuck, after waking up super early to get there. The food here tasted better than anything in recent memory! Between the five of us, we had a couple burgers and a crispy chicken sandwich complete with tots and fries. It was a two woman show in here with one taking orders and serving tables, and the other cooking everything in back. Our orders were received quickly and came out very fast. Now to the burgers! My better half and I shared a bacon double cheeseburger, and it was one of the more memorable burgers we have had in years! During our burger quest, we started to notice small things that would set places apart, and this Burger had a couple of them - very melty cheese, good beef, legit bacon and a grilled bun - majestic and delicious! After checking out in the morning, we still wanted to do more in Wenatchee before heading back to Seattle. We quickly polled the kids while yelping to see what was available in the area for a good, kid-friendly fun. Unanimously, rock climbing was the top (well, the only) choice and off we went! The front desk staff were very friendly, inviting, and professional handling a large group of four families. Digitally signing the liability forms on their iPads was pretty simple and we were able to get the kids checked in with proper shoes and climbing harness apparatus. Once the kids were fully equipped, the staff guided all of us to the rock gym area, which was very spacious with numerous options, obstacles, and challenges. Their staff went over the specifics of each rock wall, how to secure the harness, safety features, what to do, and how to have fun. We were in great hands and I appreciate how inviting they were to the kids to try out any wall with their help. We loved every moment and our kids made many memories.
