Located on the main street of Wenatchee, Wenatchee Natural Foods offers organic, sustainable items, with lots of locally made products. It's not the largest grocer, but the selection was fantastic. We were able to get some grocery items here during our weekend trip and also tried the items that they prepare at the cafe area towards the back of the store. At the cafe area, they have a large menu of different drinks, with smoothies that are worth checking out. I loved the chocolate smoothie, which they make with almond butter and vanilla whey, so it's naturally sweetened. I also ordered a bowl, which you can make based on the different ingredients they offer, like a base of rice or beans, with different proteins and veggies. I customized my bowl with rice, curry chickpeas, avocado and steak and seasonal veggies and it served as two meals, which was delicious. For those wanting to dine in, they have a seating area on the side of the store, with outdoor seating where it's dog-friendly. It's a win for Wenatchee to have a store like Wenatchee Natural Foods, offering a great selection of healthy, wholesome items in a community-centric setting. The salad was large enough to be a full meal, and the Cesar dressing hit the spot. The tuna melt was awesome. Sometimes tuna melts can be overly fishy or overly dressed and mushy. This one was perfect, the flavors were right on point, bread was crunchy and crispy on the outside. The inside is super cute and a very relaxed vibe. I was really happy we discovered this new cute little family owned gem in Wenatchee. I will continue to support this business and I am looking forward to trying their crepes and made from scratch soups.
