In Brickell, there seems to be no shortage of pizza places, but DC Pies is definitely one worth taking a look at. We stopped by for happy hour, which incredibly lasts until 8! Personal sized pizzas start at 10$ and cocktails are 7$. I had the Hot Box cocktail, which was basically a take on a spicy margarita. It was good but a little sweet for me. The pizza stands out as perfectly cooked with generous amounts of fresh basil--it was delicious. The ambiance was nice--we started out at the bar which was outdoors but faced indoors and gave us a great view of both areas. When our party got bigger, our server was nice enough to move us indoors, which also was a nice area where you could watch the pizza oven. Will definitely be back! read more

My wife and I went back to DC Pie Co for our second visit yesterday and I must say somehow it was better than our first visit. It was incredible but to my surprise, the pizza was actually even better which doesn't make sense as I wrote in my last review a few years back it was up there with the greats of Brooklyn and Manhattan that I've had. Our waiter was amazing and the gentleman making the pizza yesterday should enter into a contest cause he could beat anyone and I truly believe that. We were able to order food and receive it quite quickly. - kale Caesar - pepperoni chips - Brooklyn brick oven pie - sweet hot wings + Bleu cheese As a pizza spot, the pizza was very good. Thin crust with fresh toppings and delicious flavor. The wings were also one of my favorites in terms of flavor but they did seem quite small. The kale Caesar was delicious and a fresher taste when paired with the other items that we ordered. I think the one thing that set me a bit off were the pepperoni chips ($8) which literally were like baked mini pepperonis topped with basil. Honestly why does it take 20 mins for raviolis to be cooked?? I was picking up a simple Uber Eats order, and it took over 20 minutes just for ravioli. As a chef myself, I know it doesn't take that long to prepare. The delay was unnecessary and really held up my other deliveries. If the kitchen is behind, at least communicate -- but there was no urgency or awareness at all. Definitely needs better time management. read more

This is such a lovely establishment! I walk in to a rustic looking restaurant with open concept kitchen. You see a display of ingredients out all arranged so nicely, and behind it 2 pizza cooks making the pizzas right in front of you and behind them a large stone open! I love stone oven pizzas! These talented chefs create just delicious pizzas! I came here not only because it said DC (bc I was raised in the DMV) but because I heard they have beef pepperoni ! I love beef pepperoni! This place was so good we came here twice on a 4 day trip. The pizza is everything you want from a pizza, crispy delicious crust, fresh ingredients, just overall perfect. The wings were also one of the best I've had, the sauce was sweet, spicy, and overall just tasty. The salad was mediocre but I didn't come here for salad so I'm not upset about it. The drinks were also really yummy, the skyline especially. Our service was really good too, the waiter was adorable and friendly. I'll be back on my next trip to Miami and will be trying the calzone. Downgrading from 5 stars to 3 stars. If you look at the pic in my original review you notice a good balance between red sauce and cheese. The pie I had last night was a pound of cheese on bread with the sauce nowhere to be found. In addition, $14 now for a personal pizza (roughly 2.5 slices)??....I think Brooklyn corporate needs to pay a visit and retrain the employees here on how to make a pizza. Made the misfortune of stopping at DC Pie Co for lunch. Personal Pizza & Summer Salad w/ Chicken were okay Chopped Chicken Salad was one mediocre at best. Waitress never returned to our table to Check on us or ask if we wanted more drinks (we would've bought a 2nd round). I asked our Waitress / Hostess / Manager is the "Propena (TIP) on the bill after she reviewed the items on her hand held check out monitor. She said: "NO"! The machine listed 3 different percentage 5%, 7% & 10% to add to our bill; which I found unusually lower than other suggested amounts to tip. I requested a printed receipt & saw the trickery on the bill showed an 18% Service Charge had been added unbeknownst or referenced on the menu. As I write this review, I reviewed their website (took pics of their entire website as proof) for further verification. Our $79.00 lunch resulted in $25.10 of Service Charges & Gratuity. The waitress told me the Service Charge goes to the staff & she gets the tip?!?! After, mentioning the service was sub-par with only 2 other tables; she gave me the excuse that she was doing everything: Waiting / Hosting & Managing with the support of a busboy. We came here for lunch all the way from North Broward/ Boca Raton area. DC Pizza Co did not dissapoint. We started with their original signature pizza adding pepperoni. We also started with their sweet wings and bleu cheese. Both dishes were very fresh and good to the palate. The food here is farm to table as they dont have freezers. The staff is very friendly and the service was very prompt. We even had their signature vegan pizza, but we added cheese. The vegan literally melted in our mouths as the flavors gelled well together. You can get here by metromover as it is located directly next to the 10th Street Promenade Station. Last but not least you have to try the nutella pizza for desert. Tried this place for happy hour. It's nice that it goes til 8. My husband and I tried a pizza, the artichokes and the escarole salad. All were tasty but nothing was something I would go back for and while the prices were good they do smaller portions for happy hour so it's not that great of a deal. I enjoyed the thin crispiness of the pizza but the cheese slid right off. The best part of my meal was my hot box cocktail which had a good kick to it and not too sweet. There was almost no sauce, cheese, or peppers on the pizza, and this is coming from someone who prefers pizzas with less sauce and cheese than the average American. The crust was rock hard. When I ordered garlic I assumed I was getting fresh roasted garlic, but instead I got dried garlic flakes (like you'd get in a bottle in the spice section of the grocery store). I'm confused because they claim to be Brooklyn pizza style, but I've never had anything like this in Brooklyn. It's almost like they are going for a flatbread style, not a pizza...but still, the crust was harder than any flatbread I've ever had. Because the service was perfect, I am leaving 3 stars. My team and I enjoyed several bites from DC PIE Co. and YUM! We visited on a Wednesday night, which isn't the usual night on the town for folks in Brickell, so we were super lucky. And everything was a hit in my book, but I got lucky in that each option happens to be a personal fave of mine on a regular day. I love myself a salad but didn't expect to enjoy the Kale Caesar as much as I did. Such a refreshing addition! The sauce wasn't too heavy on the Kale and the fresh parmesan was such a delicious addition. The Pepperoni Chips make so much sense and I can't believe I've never had them prepped that way - such a simple yet, yummy idea! The wings were SO juicy, they were topped with ranch/blue cheese and I just know I shouldn't have been going in on them like I did but the Lord will forgive me if he ever tasted a bite of them, lol. At every place, we are always getting a margarita pizza and one speciality pizza to share! Here, we got the signature pizza (margarita) and then created our own pizza with meatball and ricotta. Overall, it was decent pizza - the ricotta/meatball combo was delicious, and I appreciate that they provide handfuls of fresh basil, so you can dress your pizza as you desire. My only issue was the crust - it is very chewy (like, my jaw hurt after eating) - but it tasted fine! DC PIE CO in Brickell Miami was one of my favorite pizza spots in all of the Florida. The pie was massive and you know it's good when you have to wait an hour in the middle of the day on a Monday. I ordered the Brooklyn Brick Oven Pie which is made from their delicious homemade sauce, Italian imported mozzarella di bufala, fresh mozzarella, and eighteen month aged parmigiano reggiano, basil, and garlic. The slice was thin and light but with the perfect ratio of sauce to cheese. The sauce was packed with flavors that complemented the garlic and basil super well. The basil was super fresh and really enhanced the experience (they give a BUNCH on the side as well!). The crust was okay however in that it was cooked well done to a crisp. This caused it to become brittle and loose its chewiness. Overall, I loved DC PIE CO and would 100% recommend it to anyone visiting or in Miami! read more

At first I did not know what to expect. I knew this had "Lucali" roots. So I had high hopes. My order was simple ... a 15" pepperoni pie. What I received, in addition to OUTSTANDING service, was a piece of art, that just happened to taste amazing. This pie is slightly smaller than Lucali, which is why they were able to attain the perfect amount of char and crisp throughout the entire pie. I was blown away ... really! Made a reservation online and was lucky enough to find parking on the street. The restaurant is located on a corner so you won't miss it. The ambiance and service was very nice. I am obsessed with DC Pie Co. I like to think of them as Lucali's cool (and hot!) cousin that I can call up late at night for a mouthwatering piece of... pizza. In fact, they share similar menu items as Lucali's on South Beach (iconic pizzas, juicy chicken wings, and Miami's best chicken parm). The best part? They deliver. I came to DC Pie for a mid-week happy hour. They have a pretty good happy hour menu from 5-7pm including beers, wines, margaritas, mules, and wells drinks and some food items. Our server was nice, attentive most of the time. I know this restaurant is by Lucali so you can definitely see the influence in decor, which was really nice and rustic. You have indoor and outdoor seating. The have a speakeasy in the back which looked cool when I went to the restroom. It had a strong smell of incense. The women's restroom was also just one stall which was odd for such a big place. But a cool layout within the restaurant and speakeasy. We were there for a few hours. Throughout my time there I ordered two proseccos and was going to ask for a third but they were out of all sparkling wines unfortunately. I ended up ordering a gin and tonic and it was not made well. It was overly strong, no bubble in the tonic. I asked for limes as it was brought with a lemon and she brought lemons again instead of limes. I just ended up taking one of my friend's lime for the drink. I barely drank half of it because how strong it tasted. The glasses of sparkling wine were also not filled very much but we're very bubble and good flavor. I ordered a personal cheese pie for food (which was also on the happy hour menu). The pie was absolutely fresh and delicious. Perfectly cooked. I asked for red pepper flakes and was offered hot chili oil which was also so tasty and paired so well with the pizza. It was crunchy, soft, and cheese in all the right places. The happy hour prices are great and definitely worth the visit! Drinks are $6-7, food items are $9-12. They have both outdoor and indoor seating and it's a very nice blend of causal with a little bit of formality.
