One particular finger stands out with the gap between the gel and my new growth being larger than the rest. I am aware that perhaps my nails grow unevenly, but I've gotten my nails done before and never had this issue so I think it's still worth noting. I also left the salon with unnoticed gel under my nail that I had to chisel off later. Lastly, at exactly the one week mark, the gel on one nail started lifting. That particularly upsets me because I'm worried about moisture and bacteria getting trapped so I had to remove the gel much sooner than anticipated. I work a desk job and genuinely don't do much with my hands so I am confident it wasn't anything I did. Overall, for $60, I expected better. I am honestly most disappointed because I was willing to support a salon with their values. Lastly, parking at the co-op is no longer free and hasn't been for at least a month. Looking closely, several nails are uneven, the sidewalls are inconsistent, and the overall finish looks rushed and unprofessional. Instead of leaving feeling confident about my nails, I left wishing I had never gotten them done. For the price, I expected attention to detail and a professional result. Within one day, two nails broke completely off. The salon offered to fix them for free, but asked me to bring the broken nails back to reattach, which I found unsanitary and unprofessional. During the appointment, I suggested maybe the curing process might have been done incorrectly, but my concern was dismissed. Shortly after leaving the salon that day, another nail broke off. When I called/raised the issue again, I explained that I live 40+ mins away and couldn't keep returning for repairs. I asked if the full set could be redone, but they declined and instead said they would continue fixing nails individually as they broke. I came in for a 3rd time in 1 week. As of today, 8 out of 10 nails have broken, including one that had already been repaired by them once. Given this experience, I can't confidently return to this salon.
