This spa is as GOOD AS IT GETS! I had been looking for a Spa in the Pigeon Forge area to book for…read moremy mothers birthday. I found Skin Care by Amanda through a co-worker of mine who gets her hair done at Southern Strandz. She had told me that the prices were way CHEAPER compared to the resorts in the area and the quality was outstanding. I decided to book my mom a spa day for her birthday and I figured I would throw something in for myself. Seeing how I have never done anything like this before and the prices were so outstanding! I booked a manicure and pedicure, an eye brow and lip wax, and a 60 min Anti-Aging facial for my mom. For myself, I booked a 50 min back facial. Once we arrived I had a million questions about my skin. Amanda knew every single answer and more. Once I got back to the facial room there was very relaxing music playing and candles were lit. It was such a RELAXING atmosphere. I laid on the table and got a massage/back facial that after 25 minutes or so, I ended up falling asleep, because it was so RELAXING!!!! It was then my mothers turn. After 60 minutes she came out RAVING about how amazingly SMOOTH and SOFT her skin felt. My mom had always complained about how she was developing wrinkles around her eyes and on her forehead. They seemed to be diminished in just 60 minutes! My mother also got her eye and lip waxed and she said the wax she used didn't even feel like wax, and it didn't hurt at all. Needless to say, my mom and I ENJOYED our day at the spa. She enjoyed it so much that she ended up buying a package of facials, and by recommendation from Amanda, she also bought a package of chemical peels. ITS A MUST TRY!

Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing…read more We booked a full body scrub, massage, and facial. The scrub itself was fine, but afterward I was told to shower and that the moisturizer application normally done after the scrub would be skipped since I was scheduled for a massage next. The massage ended up being one of the worst I've ever had. The therapist smelled strongly of cigarettes and was breathing heavily throughout the entire service, which made it very difficult to relax. I was also never turned over during the massage, meaning the entire front side of my body was never worked on, so actually no moisturizer was applied to the front side of my body. During my facial I was told it would include a scalp massage, neck and shoulder massage, and hand/arm massage. Unfortunately, the arm and hand massage was never done. Considering the amount of money spent, the services felt incomplete and the overall experience was mediocre at best. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity was automatically added, which is frustrating when the services themselves were not fully delivered. I really wanted this to be a highlight of our girls' weekend, but unfortunately my experience fell far short of expectations.

I was visiting and unfortunately cracked a nail. I have acrylic with gel and not only did I crack…read morethe acrylic but I cracked my natural nail underneath. It was pretty painful. I searched the area for a nail shop with a high review and found Noire Nail Bar. It's in a shopping center/strip mall kind of area. Walking in, there were no other customers present, but the place looks very clean and appeared to be set up to do a high volume of clientele. I went around noon on a Tuesday. I showed the woman at the front desk my nail and told her I just needed it to be fixed and she sat me down with a nail tech, his name was Tim. He was very gentle and did a good job at matching the original nail color since I had colored thin French tips. I showed my friend and she couldn't tell which one was cracked at all which is a testament to his work. Thanks for fixing me up, in and out in 20 minutes and I was charged $10. I know some places charge $5 for a nail fix, but I appreciated the service and him being gentle because it was very very painful. Now that the repair is done, I have no more pain and I'm happy with the work! If I hadn't just had my nails done a week ago, I definitely would've gotten a full set by Tim!

I've been coming to diva nails for about two years now I moved here a little over two years ago and…read morewent from having a personal nail tech in my hometown to not being able to find anyone to do my nails then found this nail shop and they have been the closest to what I'm used to and I've been coming ever since. It is about an hour drive from me, but I'm willing to take that DR. because my nails last for a month.. I will say the vibe has changed recently as the nail tech who used to do. My nails has moved and I had to try someone new this last time around and though I'm happy with how my nails turned out I'm not so happy with the service that I received this last time. He seemed as if he did not want to do my nails, and I originally asked for someone different who told me yes, but she was on the phone with her insurance company and kept telling me to hold on which I was understanding, but eventually when she came in, she took someone different who had came in like an hour after me. I have been getting a pedicure, which I decided to do first as I waited on her, but when she got done, she decided to take someone else instead of coming to me, which resulted in me having to have the tech who is doing my pedicure, do my nails as well and when the front desk receptionist asked him, would he be OK with doing my nails? He seemed upset about it, but said yes anyway so that was kind of off to me. They do also have a new front desk person who I think is actually a little nicer. The last thing that I noticed is last year when I got my nails done for my birthday I was able to use the birthday discount. That they have upfront, they asked me for my ID and to prove that it was my birthday and I was able to get the 20% off mind you that was not the actual day of my birthday. I think it was two days before last year I did the same thing this year and they told me no it had to be on my actual birthday so I found that to be kind of odd. Maybe they need to post the requirements on that as well because usually it would be the week or I don't know just seemed weird. Overall, though I would definitely continue to go to them.

She was so so knowledgeable about products, gave me step by step instructions on what she was doing throughout the facial, and offered a very inviting, calm, enjoyable space to receive the service! I feel it's worth the money and when I'm back in town intend on booking another facial there! They have a plethora of services offered as well so it could be your one stop shop for all things self care related. They do sell products but they're not pushing them down your throat like some salons can do. I'd recommend to friends and family looking for a high quality spa.
