I heavily rely on reviews before trying new places and therefore needed to give my feedback to someone else who may do the same. I really enjoyed my hydrofacial given by Kendra! She was so so knowledgeable about products, gave me step by step instructions on what she was doing throughout the facial, and offered a very inviting, calm, enjoyable space to receive the service! My skin looked like a glazed donut by the time she was done and I haven't had any breakouts or reactions to the products they used. (Which sometimes will occur.) I feel it's worth the money and when I'm back in town intend on booking another facial there! They have a plethora of services offered as well so it could be your one stop shop for all things self care related. They do sell products but they're not pushing them down your throat like some salons can do. I'd recommend to friends and family looking for a high quality spa. read more

The location manager responded to my review saying there was not an "online store". I found this location online, and when I called I was required to prepay the appointment in order to secure a facial. I purchased a package, however as mentioned in my review the "facial" was simply a slathering of cream over and over and it felt terrible. It was an expensive and disappointing experience. On top of that I had to listen to the sales pitch on their product line which was not a suitable product. Their products are greasy. read more

Went in for my first Brazilian ever and had the best experience I could've asked for! Kayleigh was super kind and helpful! She never made me feel uncomfortable and recommended products for aftercare! (The place also smells incredible which was a plus). I already scheduled my next appointments and am looking into the other services they offer! So happy I went with this place:) read more

Meg was very helpful in getting me booked, and Jessie was a joy to work with! I have been growing out my brows for a while after a negative threading experience at another salon left my brows thin and sparse. Jessie was gentle, listened to my concerns, and I left feeling confident and heard! My brows are still full but more defined. I will definitely be back! read more

Paige Campbell is the SWEETEST human you will ever meet!! From day one she knew exactly what my skin needed and there wasn't a second where I disagreed with her suggestions!! I get an OxyGeneo facial with Paige once a month with dermaplaning every other. She has seriously become someone I would befriend outside of the spa. If she told me to jump off a bridge I probably would because that's how much I trust her. She knows my sister is an esthetician also and never tries to overstep whenever I bring up what my sister has done to my skin. All of the girls there are amazing but Paige is my fav she never tries to upsell anything to me and I know that a lot of people appreciate that. Book with Paige and have glowing skin like me!!! read more

Paige always does a fantastic job! She makes you feel comfortable and is a joy to talk to. Quick, thorough, and nearly painless. Couldn't ask for a better experience. read more

WOW!!! Shanon is a wonderful person, easy to talk to, smart, funny, and one of a kind! I have NEVER been so hooked on a service! She is more than amazing. You could not find a better massage therapist if you tried. She knows what she is doing and she does it all!! She loves working with athletes, so loves helping anyone walk out better than they came in. She doesn't let you leave until it is figured out. She cups, deep tissue, stretches, relaxes and more than I can write in one review. So before you have a facial or get your skin worked on make sure you book a massage appointment first!!! You will not regret it! Love her!!! read more

Highly recommend this spa for all your needs! Sugaring has changed my life! I am not typically the type to spend money on myself, but I have been changed. Paige Campbell makes me feel so comfortable and is helping me with some skin/breakout issues. Treat yourself ladies! You will not regret it! read more

I really enjoyed my first experience here! I got the Brazilian/Bikini service. I opted to get the sugar paste instead of wax (smart choice lol). I had Bri as my esthetician during my visit & she was AWESOME! I was a little nervous since she is the newest skin tech at the facility however her warm & welcoming disposition made things a breeze! I was relaxed & laughing the entire time. It was no more painful than getting my armpits waxed & I appreciated that very much for my first time. I would definitely recommend this place & I will be returning for maintenance! read more

I have now seen Paige twice for sugaring, and it is safe to say that I will be a repeat customer for as long as I live in Knoxville! As someone who was new to sugaring, I loved that Paige explained everything, made me feel incredibly comfortable, and provided great product recommendations to help with my specific problems. If you are even remotely considering getting sugaring done, don't hesitate to book it here with Paige! read more

I am a loyal client of Kendra. After years and experiences with different esthetician's, she is hands down #1. Relocated from Chicago and am so fortunate to have found her. I couldn't imagine a more welcoming experience. Brows are always on point, and she really listens to me as a client. She has been a rockstar at making me comfortable to ask questions, professional and I have never been more satisfied. She has some Wonder Woman skills. Highly recommend! read more

Cara is the sweetest ever!! She made sure you were doing okay the whole time, if you didn't like it she fixed it right away! 5 stars for cars for those brows!! read more

I wish I could give a 6th star! Downtown Smooth is wonderful! The spa is beautiful, conveniently located, and has super easy parking. I got sugaring services from Kendra and wow! I just moved from out of state and sugaring is not readily available where I am from. I have had lots of waxing services and after 1 sugaring appointment I think I have been missing out. Kendra kindly explained the treatment and answered all my questions. She made me feel comfortable right away. The sugaring itself was less painful than waxing with the same (if not better!) results. I left Downtown Smooth with two more appointments booked--it was that good. read more

As someone who has had regular facials for approximately 40 years it is easy to tell an esthetician that is passionate about their work. Kendra is one of those people. There are people who are trained to do facials and skin care and know the steps, but then there are people that have a natural ability and a great touch. With Kendra you get it all! The spa she and her staff have created is a wonderful experience. The environment is clean, pretty, relaxing, and comfortable. It is nice to have someone who works with the scheduling and takes care of answering the questions clients have at the front desk. Meg is that person. She is helpful, professional, and goes the extra way to make sure you are treated with respect. There are great items to buy and great specials on services. This is my go to place for skin care now and I drive 45 minutes to get to them. Worth every minute. Thank you Downtown Smooth MedSpa! read more

I was so excited to rate this phenomenal spa. I simply got my eyebrows sugared here (first time sugaring, and I HIGHLY recommend trying it). I have done my own eyebrows for years after having horrible over-waxing/uneven waxing experiences with other spas. I accidentally made them uneven, so I took the chance to go in and get my brows done, and Kendra was just perfect in every way. She explained everything she was doing, helped me relax, and made the experience very comfortable for me. I had reservations because of my terrible past experiences, but when I held the mirror up to look at my eyebrows afterwards, she had actually done magic to them. They looked so amazing. I will ABSOLUTELY be back for future hair removal and to get a facial as well! read more

This was my first time trying a Brazilian...it was painful lol but the experience here was comforting. Staff was welcoming and kind. Bri, the esthetician, was kind and comforting. I will be returning for future services! read more

Kendra makes you feel right at home in her little cozy nook. Her sweet face and voice easily get you through the quick bits of pain, then you end up with gorgeous eyebrows. Definitely worth it. Do yourself a favor and go get a facial. read more

Went to my appointment without knowing if sugaring or waxing would be best for me, but Kendra was quickly able to determine my best option--sugaring. She made the experience very relaxing and I loved the results. She was also great at explaining the process, why she used certain products, what they contained, etc. I felt truly informed and like I knew everything that was happening, which was comforting. She's also an absolute sweetheart, exceptionally kind, so there was no awkwardness or stiffness about the visit. You will feel like you are visiting a professionally trained friend. read more

Kendra is a waxing wizard! I've been waxing for many years and Kendra's waxing service is the best that I've had. And her bikini wax service is the least painful I've ever had. Kendra knows her waxes- she has different kinds- and uses the right one for the service you want. And the pre and post waxing lotions and potions she uses feel and smell great. On top of all of this, Kendra is super nice and makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Finally, the online booking tool she uses makes booking an appointment easy and convenient. read more

Kendra is fantastic! She is extremely thorough, and always welcoming and professional. I have had lip and Brazilian waxes with Kendra, and BY FAR, they've been the most comfortable and efficient I have ever had. Since finding Downtown Smooth almost two years ago, there is not another place I will go to in Knoxville. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Kendra is amazing at what she does. I highly recommend her. She is very accommodating and always listens to exactly what your facial needs are. You will not be disappointed with the services she provides and I guarantee you will feel special here. read more

This was my first experience with sugaring, and I'll never go back to waxing! I called in the afternoon to see if I could get an appointment that day. The esthetician stayed a little later so I could get in--great customer service before the appointment even began! The spa space is clean and luxurious, and the appointment room was the cleanest I've ever seen. I felt immediately at ease! Cara was wonderful--she was calm, cool, made the experience very easy. I used to go to a chain salon for my wax appointments but I'll come to Downtown Smooth MedSpa for my future sugaring visits!! read more

I went in for my booty hole waxed (never done it before) and was sooo nervous from all the info I read on the internet before finally biting the bullet and making an appointment. Boy was I PLEASANTLY surprised!! It was completely painless! No joke! Emily did an AMAZING job. My eyebrows "hurt" worse! Idk if it was b/c of the sugar rather than regular wax... but I will definitely be going back in 4 weeks to do it again. I highly recommend this spa! It was clean, staff was very friendly and welcoming. And Emily made me feel as comfortable as can be. Total time took maybe 15 min (walking in the door, to getting into my car) and the actual procedure maybe took 3 min. Great Place to go for a wax. read more

Went to go see Hannah this morning for a Brazilian and she did a great job :) it's been a little over 2yrs since my last wax so although I knew what to expect, I knew that it was going to be painful regardless because of how long it's been. And after reading up on different waxing places here in Knoxville I chose downtown smooth, and I'm glad I did! I felt very comfortable despite being here for the first time which was very important to me. In two years time my body has been through a lot of changes (I have a 1yr old and am 7months pregnant) and I was hesitant to get waxed because of that. But I figured if my husband thinks I'm a hot momma I might as well step out of my insecurities and care for myself the way I'd like to. So I did, and I had a great experience :) I already scheduled my follow up appointment and I'm so glad that I found a place that makes me feel comfortable and beautiful. Go moms!!! read more

I have been going to Downtown Smooth for several years and the results are unbelievable..as in people don't believe my age based on my skin! Kendra and Hanna are real pros, but the most down to earth people you will ever meet. This is a monthly expense that is worth every penny and I am so excited that they are becoming a Medspa! read more

I was there about a month about ago for a mani/pedi. My pedicure seat started smelling like something was burning. I wanted to immediately move since water and fire don't mix. The nail tech said no. At that point I was nervous but tech finished. I then proceeded to get gel nails (there is not a very good selection) and after the color was put on one nail, I didn't like it and wanted to get another color. He "blew" like a whale and rolled his eyes. After the not so pleasant experience, I will ever go back. read more
