So like most folks, I found the idea of getting waxed in my nether regions daunting to say the least, not to mention a BRAZILIAN. So after much research and YouTube, I decided that an extended bikini might be the way to go. As a Mom of 3, with a husband, a business, and 2 Boxers, my time is spread thin as it is, so shaving was quickly becoming an after thought. Since I've never grown hair on my legs, and very little on my underarms, my experience with waxing has been limited to my eyebrows, and yea that can hurt! She made me feel so comfortable from the minute I walked through the door. She informed me of the options I had regarding waxing, explaining each type, and helped me to realize that my initial decision to go with a Brazilian was indeed what I wanted! She ensured that all my questions were answered, and that I was comfortable and had no concerns. Her room was immaculate, beautiful, and complete with calming music. Once the service began, she was so kind, reassuring, personable and professional, ALL of my anxiety melted away (I was literally sweating when I arrived from anxiety :)). She even asked me if I needed to take a break, and continued to due so throughout the service. That made me feel absolutely cared for, and that it was genuine! The whole thing was service was done in 20-30 minutes! Actually I was so comfortable, I just laid there for awhile and she had to tell me I was done lol! I can honestly say I am "Hooked On Hanna!" I'll just start with Kendra is absolutely amazing. This was my first Brazilian/bikini wax. I was incredibly nervous and she made me feel at ease from the moment I walked in. The room we used was very comfortable and clean. Kendra was so patient with me and answered all my questions. She was so professional and didn't make the experience awkward at all. I really had a rough time (with the pain) and she gave me breaks and didn't push me to go further than I could handle. I initially went in for the Brazilian, but ended up doing a modified version. She could see how I was handling the waxing and helped me figure out the best thing to do. She was so sweet. And she was very honest with me about everything (including which parts are more painful) and I appreciated that! For my first time, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Paige has literally saved my eyebrows and given me a new perspective on self care and my routine! Not only does she take the time to explain to me every step she takes and why it's beneficial for me, but she also reassures me along the way, which is amazing if you're new to services like eyebrow tinting, facials, etc! Paige is patient and you can tell she really cares to learn about her clients goals and problem areas. She has came up with a solution to every issue I've brought to her and she is very creative when it comes to working out a plan to eventually get to where you want to be with your eyebrows, skin texture, or whatever else it may be. Had my first facial with Kendra last week and she is AWESOME! It was so relaxing and my skin has never looked better. She did a thorough consultation to make sure she understood my skin and the concerns I have. She really knows her stuff! My skin hasn't been this clear and soft in years. Additionally, I am touch sensitive (meaning that being touched, especially by strangers, can make me very uncomfortable and nervous.) When I explained this to Kendra, she was very sweet and understanding and checked in with me during the facial to make sure I was comfortable. I can't tell you how much I appreciated this. I've never been able to enjoy massages or facials before, but Kendra made this experience so wonderful and relaxing. I cannot recommend her enough! read more

Emily has been my esthetician for quite a while now. She is not only professional, exceptional at her job, but also makes you feel comfortable and relaxed during the treatment. She is the one that introduced me to sugaring. I have always used conventional waxing, but this hair removal treatment is awesome. Less pain, less irritation, and much smoother results! I prefer a Brazilian, and let's be honest, that area can be a bit sensitive. With Emily's knowledge of the products and gentle technique, I can honestly say the pain during my treatment has been significantly reduced. The spa is also great. I went in for my booty hole waxed (never done it before) and was sooo nervous from all the info I read on the internet before finally biting the bullet and making an appointment. Boy was I PLEASANTLY surprised!! It was completely painless! No joke! Emily did an AMAZING job. My eyebrows "hurt" worse! Idk if it was b/c of the sugar rather than regular wax... but I will definitely be going back in 4 weeks to do it again. I highly recommend this spa! It was clean, staff was very friendly and welcoming. And Emily made me feel as comfortable as can be. It was my first time visiting a salon or having any kind of facial treatment done! I have a lot of scarring and dark spots, and very textured skin. I went into Downtown Smooth Spa with horrible skin and no confidence! I seen Taylor and she recommended I do the hydradermabrasion and a light chemical peel. My skin has improved so much and I can already tell my skin and confidence have improved! Taylor made me feel super comfy in my own skin and I'm so excited to keep seeing results I booked an appointment for next month and have tried to get in sooner because I just cant wait to see Taylor and have my skin treated to nicely again! I chose Downtown Smooth Spa because of the reviews I read on line. Even though it's over an hour away and could have picked a closer salon, I went with this one for my first Brazilian. I am so glad that I did. Paige was amazing! Of course I was so nervous for my first time but she made me feel very comfortable and talked me through the process. I went in knowing it was going to hurt. Yes it hurt but for only 5 seconds. Paige would also let me know of the more sensitive areas so I would be prepared and to breath deeply to help me relax. I went in for a Oxygneo facial with Emily and I can't wait to go back, my skin looks beautiful and glowing. Emily and Kendra, the owner, are so professional and down to earth. I felt so comfortable and welcome and they were great at explaining the process and helping me find the perfect skincare routine for after care. Good spa experiences have been rare for me in Knoxville because medispas here tend to judge me because of my age (I'm 25, but look high school age) so I often have to travel to bigger city to avoid the awkwardness. This was my First time for wax, I read their reviews on Yelp and they were very accurate. First, I have to say their website told me what to do before and after and was easy to navigate. The spa is aesthetically beautiful, clean, and very zen like. As soon as you walk in your mood changes. Everyone is nice and personal.
