This seems like a trivial remark, but even I myself have a hard time understanding what the heck my hair is doing, and yet Cori was able to work WITH it at the first interaction. It was one of the longest hair appointments I have ever had; but that's not to say she didn't do an excellent job. When I first made the appointment, the "cart" read that the price of my balayage with a haircut would be $160, which it was not at the very end. When I sat down in the chair, I showed her a picture of what I wanted, a caramel balayage, something warmer for fall as I was blonde before. She pulled a few swatches which looked great and I had assumed, as any other person would, that the swatch she had chose, would be what my hair would look like, or similar...I was wrong. She came over with 2 bowls, one of bleach and one of brown (I still have yet to find any "new" brown on my hair). I was confused, but trusted the process because she's the stylist and knows what's best for the client. When she finished rinsing my hair out, we went over to her station to cut and style. She had asked if I wanted any layers and I said no as I've had a bad experience with them. She proceeded to give me long layers anyway. During the coloring process, she had asked me about my naturally curly hair and if I've ever thought about styling my hair in a way that it would enhance my curls. I said yes I've done it once but again had a bad experience so I wouldn't try it again. She had said okay. Fast forward to the styling process. I asked her if she could curl my hair, and from my understanding "curl" means with a curling iron, I thought that this was a universal definition for "curl". All of a sudden she's putting mousse and gel in my hair and curling my hair on her fingers. Instead of getting beach waves, my hair looked a mess. My hair became frizzy over time as I was driving home and honestly looked like I just rolled out of bed. I went home, rinsed my hair out with only water so it wouldn't ruin my 'color' and had to blow dry it and style it myself because I wasn't very happy with the outcome. The next day, I was looking in the mirror and really couldn't tell a difference in the color whatsoever, it looked the exact same as it did a week prior. I still don't know where the brown went that she had in the bowl or what happened to. my reference picture that I showed her. The color at my roots was not blended properly (I had consulted another stylist who is a family friend from home) and she agreed, as well as one side had more highlights on it then other. The back of my hair (color wise) didn't look like my reference which I understand it wouldn't the first time, but I was expecting it to look different then when I walked into the salon and it did not. I'm disappointed because I paid almost $250 for something I didn't and still don't like. Now I have to find someone else to fix it and pay again. When I emailed the salon, I was hoping some sort of compensation for something. I had mentioned in my email that I didn't want to return due to this experience. The proceeded to email back and offered me to come back in and they would do it free of charge. I almost think it would be giving them another opportunity to mess it up because no one likes to do their job without getting paid. Good news, the staff was really nice. Receptionist was understanding when I wanted to pay some in cash and the rest on my card. Very sweet and understanding. (will not let me upload pictures)

I currently have natural spiral curly hair, but due to age half of my hair was going straight. I needed a fix. They asked me to come in for a consultation. When I got there, the owner and a stylist looked over my hair and said they'd be able to do it. They had to order the curlers and stated the curlers will arrive in a few days. During my consultation, not one thing mentioned that the damage or possible errors that could happen. The only question they asked if I colored my hair. I stated I did and told them the last date I colored it. All seemed good and they seemed confident. The day of the appt, all seemed it was still good to go. They had to wash my hair before putting the chemical in. As I had my head in the sink, the stylist said, Oh I need you to sign a waiver. She brought it over, as I am still head in the sink. I asked what it was for and word for word, she said it is so you are aware the curls may not be consistent. To me, that's understandable, as my curls now are not consistent now. Went through the process. At the end, they blow-dried my hair and told me not to wash it for 3 days. Immediately, my hair looked awful and fried. I waited the three days, but there was no change. My hair was beyond damaged. BEYOND!!! They have legit fried my hair. When I called, looking for help or compassion, all the manager can say is sorry, but you signed the waiver. I told her my side and that this is going to cost me a lot of money to fix this and I HAVE!!! She still said, "Sorry but you signed a waiver." It will take over a year, per my new stylist, for my hair to be normal. If I mess up, the guilt would be heavy, and I would do anything to make things right. There was absolutely no care or compassion. Save yourself your sanity, your money, and go somewhere else. Spread the word.

Edited to add: I spoke to Shannon, a manger after this…read moreposting. She was really accusatory and defensive about my original comments. She repeatedly said I was trying to be "malicious" in my leaving an honest comment/review about my experience. She said my review was uncalled for, and went on to treat me disrespectfully on the phone while I just tried to explain what happened. (I'm very anti-confrontational so I felt really anxious by this behavior.) She kept talking over me, around me, making up excuses for everything that I see experienced and made some harsh comments directed at me. When she asked why I didn't address my concerns in the store I told her that HER response in that moment is the exact reason why I didn't say anything. I'm disabled, and in a high stress situation (like she was making it) cognitive challenges tied to my disability are exacerbated. I explained that her belittling me and blatantly accusing me of doing things I didn't do like pulling on my polish for the sake of bad photos, exaggerating, and "being malicious" would have really made the conversion incredibly hard to deal with in person with in person. I told her it was even really hard to deal with it/her even on the phone; her belittling treatment was exactly WHY I did not say anything in person. I also explained again that I filled out their survey and waited weeks for a response. I had tried to give them a chance to contact me before I left a review. Once again she didn't believe me and told me I was malicious. After many, many minutes of feeling like I was being talked down to by an angry parent she finally suggested I come back to another location and try someone else. (Her suggestion, I was not looking for any compensation.) I did, yesterday, and that experience was a BILLION times better. I'll leave a glowing review on that location's page here shortly. Lesson learned... Don't try and leave honest opinions online about this business unless you're prepared to be talked to and treated like a naughty 6 year old, and to esentially be called a liar over and over. Managers need to take responsibility for when things go wrong. Not blame the guest and make up every excuse in the book to cover them up. -I know now they're excuses by the significantly better experience I got from their other location where she did everything above and beyond!

They charged my credit card saying inside of 24 hours-well it would be impossible to cancel inside of 24 hours - the appt wasn't even on the books that long! I am a 20+ year customer which apparently has little meaning to them - I will not be returning. In addition, since covid, every time I get my hair cut - the price has increased for one reason or another and WITHOUT ANY NOTICE and as I check out it always costs more- I am getting the same haircut I have gotten for years, from same stylist, but now it costs $25 more for what? I'm not sure what kind of haircut you can justify $75 dollars for and then want a tip on top of that?
