I posted an honest review of my experience and yes I updated a post from 10/19/2026 and didn't initially add a date and the salon and customer are using that as an example. Which has prompted a customer who has had great experiences there to also start spreading that I am a liar, honesty is extremely important to me I have asked the owner to check their cameras. ​Today I had a makeup trial at Alter Ego in Sevierville. While the staff were welcoming, I was unfortunately disappointed with the final application. The foundation felt quite heavy and dry, accentuating texture and fine lines rather than giving a smooth, radiant finish. The eyeshadow creased almost immediately and lacked seamless blending, and the false lashes were misaligned and lifting off the lash line. I appreciate doing a trial beforehand, but the technical execution fell short of what I expected for a professional service. I should have known the makeup didn't look great when I wasn't handed a small mirror to look at it closer and unfortunately my vision is terrible so I could not see the patchyness from the chair.

The lady put some shampoo on her hand and with the palm of her hand she rubbed the shampoo all over my head and then rinsed it out. I used to be a hairdresser years ago and I know what a good shampoo is supposed to feel like she did not use the tips of your fingers to scrub my hair at all. She just rubbed some shampoo around with the palm of her hand. Because a shampoo is only $9. I was going to give her a $10 tip but she did not even scrub my hair so she only got a $5 tip. And if you're going there for a shampoo, don't waste your time because they'll cut your hair, but they wet it down with a bottle. They don't even clean your hair

Nothing too major mostly cosmetic but considering it is a place that does focus on the cosmetic it really needs to be cleaned up.
