Hair wash and everything leading up to the haircut was a good experience, but I went in with some overgrown wispy bangs and needed a trim, and unfortunately, more and more length kept getting taken off of my bangs until they were pointing out. Comments kept getting made about my "cow lick" but I've had bangs consistently throughout my adulthood and a cowlick has never been a problem. The stylist knew I wasn't fully happy with the look, but they are bangs, and you can't add more hair once it's been chopped, so I didn't want to make a scene about something that couldn't be changed. Another stylist stepped in to help as much as she could. I tipped accordingly because I do know that things happen. I wasn't even going to leave a comment until I got home and looked in the mirror and when I pushed the hair to my shoulders, it was all uneven length and flipping out like a 90s retro look. Looking at the ends, it is clear that the chop was not done evenly.

If you like Aveda products, and I definitely do, the salon has a huge assortment to choose from to bring home with you. They also do nails, massages, and facials, which I will definitely be back to try one in the near future. This is my first time here, and I plan on making it and my regular hair salon. I really couldn't recommend it more. It is located and renovated house and easy to miss the first time if you don't know where you're going, however, Apple Maps will take you right there if you're paying attention, which I was not apparently.

I was a little disappointed as I had scheduled my cut a few weeks well in advance. However, they made it right and fit me in that same day with a senior stylist. I had Abigail as my stylist, and she was just a darling. She was so gentle and careful with my hair. She took exactly the length that I wanted off, and did beautiful long layers for me. I loved how she really took her time and listened to what I wanted done. Will definitely miss her when she graduates in June and any salon will be lucky to have her. They have Aveda products for sale in the front, and are always running specials. Give or take about an hour to an hour and a half for your appointment if you're getting a cut. Don't forget to try a cup of the Aveda tea at your appointment. It's delicious!!

The first haircut I got in my life where I wanted to cry. I asked for a trim and long layers, and came out with atleast four inches off, curtain bangs, and an accidental piece of my hair cut off. My hairdresser literally said "oh no, did I cut that?" He also cut my curtain bangs uneven on the sides. It got to the point where I literally just asked him to stop cutting. Take it from me and leave it to the professionals even for a trim because you might just walk out feeling worse than you ever have.

Edited to add: I spoke to Shannon, a manger after this…read moreposting. She was really accusatory and defensive about my original comments. She repeatedly said I was trying to be "malicious" in my leaving an honest comment/review about my experience. She said my review was uncalled for, and went on to treat me disrespectfully on the phone while I just tried to explain what happened. (I'm very anti-confrontational so I felt really anxious by this behavior.) She kept talking over me, around me, making up excuses for everything that I see experienced and made some harsh comments directed at me. When she asked why I didn't address my concerns in the store I told her that HER response in that moment is the exact reason why I didn't say anything. I'm disabled, and in a high stress situation (like she was making it) cognitive challenges tied to my disability are exacerbated. I explained that her belittling me and blatantly accusing me of doing things I didn't do like pulling on my polish for the sake of bad photos, exaggerating, and "being malicious" would have really made the conversion incredibly hard to deal with in person with in person. I told her it was even really hard to deal with it/her even on the phone; her belittling treatment was exactly WHY I did not say anything in person. I also explained again that I filled out their survey and waited weeks for a response. I had tried to give them a chance to contact me before I left a review. Once again she didn't believe me and told me I was malicious. After many, many minutes of feeling like I was being talked down to by an angry parent she finally suggested I come back to another location and try someone else. (Her suggestion, I was not looking for any compensation.) I did, yesterday, and that experience was a BILLION times better. I'll leave a glowing review on that location's page here shortly. Lesson learned... Don't try and leave honest opinions online about this business unless you're prepared to be talked to and treated like a naughty 6 year old, and to esentially be called a liar over and over. Managers need to take responsibility for when things go wrong. Not blame the guest and make up every excuse in the book to cover them up. -I know now they're excuses by the significantly better experience I got from their other location where she did everything above and beyond!
