Dayglow exceeded my expectations. The space is fun and inviting. Service is friendly and quick. I'm not one for citrusy lattes, but OMG the Iced Warhol is ridiculously delicious. A perfect summer pick-me-up drink that is sure to brighten up your day. It's refreshing and has the perfect amount of sweetness. The Totoro, is a black sesame drink with no caffeine but still packing a lot of flavor. My son loved it! Looking forward to coming again. read more

Unique small local spot with a good variety of beans and drinks. Service and my pour over: The pour over was solid and I enjoyed my cup. The barista could have been more attentive to the craft, they weren't really paying much attention and were chatting, etc. I do think the technique could have been better along with the cup if they put a bit more into it. There isn't a lot of course so you'll have to park along sunset, my brother and I parked right across the street. Overall one of the better spots I've tried in Cali. read more

(+) Warhol Dayglow is a coffee shop that has unique roasters for unique experiences. Also, known as the Pink interior coffee shop. The other four locations are in Venice, Chicago, West Hollywood, and Larchmont. I found Dayglow from Yelp and a few coworkers have tried it as well. They are known for their lattes, and Totoro drink. Beans are on the shelf for purchase. Drinks: I tried the warhol because I wanted something not too sweet, but also wanted to dabble into the citrus coffee flavors. It's a cream, orange peel, and bourbon vanilla latte. The combination of flavors melt together into a perfectly tasting drink. The cream was thick but good overall cream flavor. Service/Ambiance: The barista was helpful in guiding me toward the Warhol. I want to return to try other drinks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe felt a little musty as i sat down and waited for my drink.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A good overall first experience. Enough to say that I'll be back to try other drinks. I honestly didn't think I would enjoy the military latte but it was quite good. the price was high but somehow the mix of everything with espresso and matcha... the taste lingers in my mouth! the ability to get other speciality coffees beansmfrom around the world (DAK, prodigal, etc) is underrated. saves you a trip. ;) read more

The Drink: Unfortunately, the drink itself was a letdown. The cream topping lacked flavor and felt uninspired. It didn't have the quality I usually expect from a specialty cafe like this. Major Hygiene Issues: The most troubling part was the behavior of the staff member on duty. I watched as the employee repeatedly touched their face and then proceeded to grab salt with their bare hands to sprinkle it onto the drink. Seeing someone handle food directly after touching their skin without washing their hands or using gloves is unacceptable in any food service environment. This location desperately needs a refresher on hygiene and food safety protocols. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While the aesthetic of Dayglow is always nice, the lack of cleanliness and the subpar quality of the Taro drink make it hard for me to recommend this spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I hope management takes this feedback seriously to ensure better standards for future customers. read more

I'm not going to lie, [[HIGHLIGHT]]the trendy pink exterior / decor lured me in[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] but I'm glad it did because the drink I got was so good and gave me the caffeine boost I didn't even know I needed. I got the Totoro which is like take of a black sesame latte with coconut, orange blossom and activated charcoal. The coconut is really what sets it apart for me, so good! I've been on a black sesame latte kick lately and this is the best one that I've had so far! It's definitely on the pricier side with their drinks ranging from $8-$12. By far the BEST Matcha Einspanner in Silver Lake!! The sea salt is a brilliant and unique addition to the Einspanner. I considered getting a second to go! My friend had the Warhol and said it was great as well. Different and well- balanced. Ambience is hipster grudge, and service is great and friendly. Street parking only. We came on a Sunday before going for a walk at the reservoir. No trouble finding street parking and it was not busy in the cafe. It is dog friendly here, with both indoor and outdoor seatings. Great independent coffee shop. They have a great variety of beans available to purchase. Parking can be challenging. If I happen to be driving by and see a parking, I snag it and head to Dayglow. I love the Warhol. The smaller cortado size hits the spot with notes of creamy orange zestiness. I love dayglow. We tried it in Chicago and were stoked to learn we live within an hour of this location. The Warhol might be my favorite coffee drink ever. I got 2 just for myself bc it's so good. My wife loves the matcha einspanner and she's really picky with matcha. she makes ceremonial grade at home so she's kind of a matcha snob, but dayglow's is good enough for her so that says a lot! I hear this is the original location. Parking is tough. Baristas were friendly and helpful. It was busy on a Saturday morning. We don't like the surrounding vibe - busy street, dirty LA area, but not dayglow's fault. Can we pleaaaaaaase get a location in OC ??? read more

Dayglow was slammed post lunch as the crowd was rolling out of bed and starting their day. Everything is pink which gives off cute vibes until you hear the hard metal blaring from the speakers which made my day. Service was good and the iced vanilla latte was much better than I expected; it wasn't overly sweet and strong enough to taste the coffee. Their menu is fun and the Warhol 2.0 sounded very good with the condensed coconut. I wish I would've read the details before ordering. read more

I first tried the Totoro 2 years ago, and it will always be my favorite cafe drink in all of LA. I chose it because of the name, but it's also sooooo good. I'm a huge black sesame fan, but there's something about it that makes it stand out from all others. I'll always shed a tear when I pay but it's worth it. As for the cafe itself, the interior is so cute! There's some seating inside, but the tables are small. Street parking can be difficult depending on the time of day. read more

Hands down thee BEST and most unique coffee selection I've seen in ALL of LA! There's ALWAYS something new, funky & fresh! Made to order and beautifully presented. I loved the flavor. Their location is so cute. I wanted to stay and hangout for a little while. Dayglow is the coffee shop that I go to if I'm looking for a unique and well-constructed coffee beverage outside of the usual. You can definitely get a standard espresso, latte, or brewed coffee but so far, I've only tried their speciality drinks that combine creative flavors and ingredients. I remember trying their Coquito during a past winter and enjoying the mix of espresso, coconut, and warm spices. In contrast, the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind had a tart kick with the addition of a shrub and tonic water. There's both outdoor and indoor seating, and while there can be a line I've found that ordering moves quickly (though there may be a wait for your beverage during peak hours). I've also appreciated getting recommendations from staff when I've had questions. read more

Cold brew is the personal best I've had in LA of shops that are still in business (rip Cuties, Andante might be second - that one goes well with some milk too, Dayglow doesn't). Acidic at first but extremely full bodied and aromatic. Lingers on the tongue. STRONG. The prepared drip from the carafes is always cold so if you like regular hot coffee don't come here. There are many elaborate drinks idk about those. The coffee in general is pretty sour in profile, if you like that, but it's the good version of it. I wish they'd bring the hojicha back lol. The sencha (hot, don't get tea iced if it's going to be prepared as a hot brew...) is surprisingly delicious. Really quality and fresh, tastes like how I had in Japan. Went to dayglow for the second time, and this time got an iced cappuccino. Service was really good, the barista was friendly and kind. Unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the drink. The beans are definitely a light roast and personally I prefer the taste of espresso drinks made from medium to dark roasts. However, if you are a fan of light roasts, you will LOVE it here! I come here specifically for their Totoro drink. I like to add a shot or two to make it stronger since it only has distilled coffee in it. Four stars cause it's a $10-11 drink - it's delicious and worth it, but definitely more of a special treat kind of thing. Service is friendly and pretty quick. Most times, it can be easy to find metered parking during off-peak hours, but expect a five minute walk or so, especially if you can't snag a spot in the new Sunset Row parking lot on the side. If you're planning on staying here long, the lighting is hot pink and definitely gave my sister and I a slight headache! read more

My favorite coffee shop in Silver Lake! They have so many creative and unique drink creations, and the Alyssa Lynch (matcha with strawberry and pistachio milk) is to die for. The entire shop is pink from top to bottom and it's a dreamy aesthetic. There's a decent-sized parking lot for the Sunset Row shops which this is a part of, so that's a huge plus. read more

Yummm!!! Amazing espresso drinks! We did a "coffee crawl" today and this was my absolutely favorite spot! The Warhol was insane. The baristas were incredibly calm and patient. It was a little warm outside (and a little warm inside) so I ordered the iced military latte. I needed to do a little work and killed some time before I met up with the buddy close by so this was a great spot to set up for a little while. The first of my stop in the Silverlake area for coffee! Dayglow is a small coffee shop sandwiched between a craft home goods store and a cosmetics store. I usually judge a coffee shop with a latte or an americano first before touching anything craft, hence, I had a latte with whole milk. The roast on the beans was good and the temperature was also good. I did hear a lot of orders for the Warhol, which I plan to get the next time I come. The inside is a splash of pink, which is befitting to the name of the store. The parking situation is a bit of a hassle; there is no private lot and you will have to find street parking in the residences or on Sunset Blvd. However, if you do find parking, say on a random Friday at 11:30 AM, definitely give this place a visit. Its definitely one of those places where you can pick up a coffee or spend some time, lost in thought within the confines of pink. read more

The beef and asada empanadas disappeared embarrassingly fast. We probably should've ordered more. And can we take a moment to appreciate the parking lot? Finding parking in Silver Lake without circling the block 47 times feels like winning a small lottery. We had no trouble finding a spot. Come for the ube latte, stay for the ensaymada, and leave wondering why you didn't order a second empanada.

Plantains and the bread that comes with it were both good. The bread is def good, but probably would opt for a sandwich if getting a meal here.

No adjustments necessary, and they had the right amount of sweetness. The sliders were very tasty, and it came in four with two sauces on the side. And through some form of wizardy, you don't get an ounce of matcha powder sinking to the bottom. I also ordered the matcha pancakes, which are the signature Japanese souffle pancakes. This comes with a thick layer of matcha cream, which wasn't too sweet and something that was truly desirable, and this is coming from someone who finds more decadent heavy desserts repulsive. I also had the chicken katsu, which came with miso soup, rice, and salad. I think the chicken katsu here had the perfect crunch and the sauce / rice that came with it was delicious. The miso soup was also quite tasty. Word of advice from the server was to purchase the combination, which allowed me to get everything I wanted for steep discount in comparison to buying everything aforementioned individually. One downside was that only street parking is available.

So it was my first time at this Cafe and I went more for the wifi but was very delighted that they had vegan Donuts so I could not wait to try. I checked out their selection for the vegan Donuts and the donuts are pretty small and $3 bucks a piece but they are tasty. The place is decorated with a bright pink paint and the decor is pleasant. The bathroom was not the most clean but I have seen worst. And the WiFi was the worst. I swear it disconnected every 2 minutes and I was in the cafe longer than I wanted to be because the WiFi just would not stay on. The speed was ok when it worked. Will I go back?
