My husband and I ate here twice on our short trip to Granville - it is a great local spot with very friendly staff! The breakfast was delicious and the portions were generous. My husband enjoyed the burrito and my basic breakfast was perfect. We came back for lunch another day, and had the chicken tacos and carnitas tacos. Fantastic! If you ask for hot sauce, it appears to be made in house and is great- but beware, it is very spicy, even if you love spicy! We also got the flan - do not sleep on the flan! The queso here is spectacular. I would have eaten the entire bowl if my niece wasn't enjoying it with me. We had a group of 5, and there was limited seating for groups larger than 4, so we pulled a chair up to the end of the table. Just a heads up, in case there are others with larger groups. Sauces are tasty, there is good portion size, and fresh ingredients are used. Everyone had only positive comments about our meals and service. Came here for breakfast after an overnight getaway to the area. Cute little spot with some funky decor / furnishings and a friendly staff! We ordered our coffees and placed orders for some food. Both my wife and I ordered the same meal (which is extremely rare!) which was the chorizo hash and we also decided to split a cinnamon roll pancake, because, well, why not?!?!? So glad we ordered both these dishes as they were full of flavor with the savory and spicy hash loaded with large chunky potatoes, grilled peppers, onions and a couple of runny eggs for that extra level of creaminess...offset by the overt sweetness of the pillowy pancake. The service is usually good but if they're busy it will probably be really slow. I had the house margarita and chips with guacamole. It's about $7 for the regular size margarita. This was smooth tasting and tasted much like limeade without a strong alcohol taste. It's really refreshing for when it's hot. The guacamole actually had spice unlike the bland ones at so many other Mexican restaurants. If you want to visit a locally owned Mexican restaurant try Day Y Noche. It's a local favorite in Granville. The margaritas are the best things on the menu but the food is good too. read more

Really cute little spot in downtown Granville. The food was good, the portions were reasonable and the service was very friendly. Their guacamole was definitely a highlight & worth ordering. It was flavorful, fresh, and had a great texture. The Queso dip was similarly quite well done. The Guisado tacos were good, if maybe a little bit on the dry side. Their spicy salsa was both delicious & solved the problem. (Note, do not let your water get low before digging in. It's got just the right amount of kick). So I happened to be in Granville and stumbled upon Day Y Noche, because I saw it had high ratings and was recommended by some locals. I ordered the shrimp and carne asada taco, and they tasted pretty good! :D unfortunately there was a hair in my taco :( Also the service was not great, and I noticed that the floors were not clean. A little disappointing, but there were also THREE flies flitting around while I was eating which was a bit uncomfortable, it made me think that the hygiene at this restaurant might not be top-notch. We got carry out after a visit to the Christmas Tree farm. We've been looking for a great Mexican place since moving to the Columbus area and we may have finally found it! I had the chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce and my dining companion had the three enchilada combo. Both were excellent - flavorful, fresh, and just the right amount of spicy. We actually stopped here on a whim since our original plan was to go to Three Tigers Brewing around the corner. Luckily the brewery was closed because these carnitas tacos were some of the best i've had. I consider myself a taco connoisseur so I can accurately say these are top tier. The meat was super tender, the spicy guac sauce was expertly made, and the cheese was nice and fresh. We were pleasantly surprised to see the nice pot of beans with fresh onion and cilantro on top. If you dig down to the bottom of the beans you will be surprised by a nice block of rice to enjoy with your meal. The only thing I was a bit disappointed was is the quantity of meat within the tacos. I ended up pushing the meat to one side and got about two small bites out of each taco. I understand that these originally come with the corn taco but I don't think it would have utilized that space any better. But, because of the taste, we will definitely be coming back! read more

We showed up here on a whim on a Sunday night because one place didn't have the food we wanted and another was on a long wait. I'm so glad those two things happened, because we would not have happened upon this gem (I can't really say "hidden gem" because it's in plain sight and I'm sure people who live around here know all about it).
