Day Night Services was professional and good at communicating but ended up wasting my time and money. Our 2009 Whirlpool gas water heater broke down. Two repair people from Day Night came by and diagnosed it as a broken pilot assembly and advised me to call Whirlpool and order the part. I paid almost $90 for the part and overnight delivery. Day Night wasn't able to come for several days to install it, so I called another plumber for installation. The plumber from another company (Seider - which I highly recommend) said it was basically impossible for it to be the pilot assembly because that part of the particular model was pretty much welded in place and irreplaceable. Would not a qualified plumber have known this? Instead it turned out to be a broken thermocouple. After 5 days without hot water for a family with two young children, the other company was able to replace the thermocouple and get our water heater up and running in less than an hour. Day Night Services wasted my time and money. I will not be calling them again. read more

9-18-2020 Ryan of DayNight Services was my go to plumber and one that I trusted. He was so cheerful when he came and left. Except the last time he and his dad were here they didn't seem to want to do much of anything and wasn't here very long as they seemed to be in a hurry to go to their next job. But now I don't know who to call. 6-29-2019 Called at 1148 because hot water heater is making noise and spoke with Lindsay. It's been over 20 minutes now and no call back. Don't know what to do now. Maybe he doesn't want to service me anymore. Don't have a very good feeling about this or him now. Thought he was reliable. Lindsay didn't call me back until almost an hour later and said he can come out next week but didn't give a day until she talked to him then said next week Monday and to unplug the fan. Are you kidding me? Another week with no hot water? Who does that? I'm so upset that he can't come out sooner. She said they're up in Milwaukee because of all the rain. We had rain down here too. I have a Drs. appt. on Monday. 7-1-2019 His dad came out and didn't really do anything but unplug the water heater. Don't think that he wanted to be here or do anything like the other times he was here. He was a huge turn off for me. He said that they couldn't touch what this other guy was charging me. But he wasn't nice to me and let me down big time. His dad said to call him back and apologize, I did but it didn't do any good. He said to pick up a water heater and he'd install it for $600. But how was I going to get it here? Neither my son or I can lift anything heavy or have a truck, or dolly. Think his dad working with him isn't doing him well and I read bad reviews on him online when Ryan was just starting out. Not for me anymore and he let me down big time now. Don't know what I'm going to do if I need someone. He said that he wouldn't let me down or steer me wrong in the beginning but it ended up like this. Not good at all. He lost a customer after the toilet job and not getting a decent seat. Buy one at my expense after I paid hundreds for it. He never came out on non working hours. But he did for others. 9-11-2020 Because our kitchen sink is getting worse with drainage and ongoing for over a month now, I called DayNight and spoke to Lindsay on early Friday afternoon. She said before noon Monday. 9-14-2020 It's noon now and nothing. Don't know if I should call them back or what? If Ryan doesn't want to service me anymore then they should say so. Not happy at all. I really hate businesses not being reliable. Now what am I supposed to do? Waited all this time for nothing. Really pisses me off. Called Lindsay again and asked if he was still coming. She said he must be running behind so is waiting on his call and she'd call me back. That she was just looking at my order. Yeah right. It's after 2140 and still nothing. Would've been nice if they told me that they don't want to service me anymore instead of playing games. This time both kitchen drains are plugged and he probably doesn't believe me and or his dad too. But why lie about calling me back? Not very nice. Guess Ryan won't miss my business. Won't bother them anymore. Wasted almost a whole day waiting for her to call me back. I had other things to do instead of wasting my time. Not very nice at all. He let me down big time with the water heater last year and now this. He lied to me, they both did. 9-18-2020 My son tried cleaning the kitchen pipes out with a 25 ft. auger but it's much further in the basement. Had to call another plumber to clean it out again. This is the 3rd time. Last time my laundry tubs wouldn't drain and the plumber had to saw off the cap to the main pipe to get to clean it out in the early morning hours. Cost me a lot of cash as he didn't take a credit card. Side job. Who has that much cash at that time of early morning hours? Then Ryan had to clean them out again 3 yrs ago as there was lint. I have screens on both tubs for a long time now. Called another plumber and he was so busy, but he still came to help me out. The pipe in the basement was plugged full as you can see from the pictures. Replaced that as I told him too and it needed it. He said the pipe was clogged for a long time. He was here over an hour. Thank you Tony. Will not bother with Lindsay, Ryan or his dad again or refer them to anyone. I'm done playing games and the lying. Not good for business. Throw away the coupons and letters being VIP. We can't say enough good things about this father and son team- they're awesome! We moved to Tosa at the end of last summer and have needed a plumber 4 times already (water heater replacement, sink pipe clog, leaking pipes in the basement, and most recently a broken pipe under our bathroom tub). Why did we buy this house? lol We contacted Day Night Services the first time, when our water heater broke and flooded our basement in the middle of the night. They had great reviews on Facebook, so we gave them a shot and we're glad we did. They came out early the next morning and had a replacement water heater delivered and installed in just a couple hours. They're our go-to plumbing experts now. Les and Ryan are super quick to respond to calls, their prices are competitive, and they do excellent work really quickly. On more than one occasion they have even offered to show my husband how to fix the issue himself (it gave us more peace of mind to have Day Night take care of it though). This morning when the father and son team showed up, I was surprised to have 2 people for the toilet base leak problem. They checked and identified the cause, it was loose water supply connection, they tightened it. They told me if it still leaks, let them know. I asked to pay them, but they said they didn't do anything. Wow! This is a fresh air to me, at this day and age while most of the services companies over charging customers, Day Night is so honest and professional, I applauded them and wanted people to know. My mom scheduled an appointment for July 3, 2023 at 10 AM. At the last minute, the receptionist (sister and daughter of the plumbers) called to reschedule the appointment for July 5, 2023 between 10 AM and 12 PM. My mom was told that the father or son would call when they were on their way. They never showed up and never called to explain why. I left multiple messages with the receptionist, asking for her to be courteous enough to at least call my mom so that she wouldn't wait around all day. Crickets. I called them and described the problem; I have a sink drain that has been plugged for years. I had tried the usual chemicals and a small snake without success. It was a rarely used sink so it wasnt an issue. I decided I wanted to get it resolved before the holidays since I will have house guests. I called and they scheduled more than a week away. When they came, they brought no diagnostic equipment, no snake, nothing. My spouse said they looked at the iron drain pipe and said it would be too big of a job. With the exception of their receptionist Lindsey, the younger guy was always great. But they completely lost my business. When you call, she seems busy and inconvenienced. Im pretty sure she just throws out any time frame and hopes it works out thats when the guys will be there. Last time they showed up after my time frame so I was sitting around waiting on them. This time they were suppose to come between 9-11. At 11:30 she calls to say they are on there way. At 1:30 I call to ask what's going on and she says she will see where they are. I had to cancel because I couldn't take anymore time off. It's a little ridiculous that they would have there costumer waiting around all day for them not to show up. Even if they were behind in there last job, she could have easily called to say they were running behind. Dont tell me they don't know they are 2-3-4 hours behind! I stayed home now for 4 hours that I could have been working, so I lost out on that and still don't have my line looked at. We used to use Day and Night for all plumbing needs, they were great, no trip charge, very pleasant, explained everything before they did anything... maybe we were just lucky, but until recently we had only ever met the younger half of the father-son duo. This last time around there was only poor communication, over charging, poor quality work and awful bedside manner. They blamed the brand new fixtures three separate times for failures all within minutes of them leaving... These guys were recommended to me by a coworker and now I'll be happy to recommend them to anyone who needs a plumber. I'd been quoted a multi-thousands gas line replacement by another company, and they made it sound super urgent. Got a second inspection/quote from Day Night Services and felt much better about the whole experience. They took the time to explain what we were looking at, recommended calling WE energies first (and warned me WE energies will ALWAYS find a gas leak, so expect that) and then quoted a much lower price for the pipe replacement, should we decide to move forward with it. Both father and son were incredibly kind and knowledgeable, wore masks of course cuz COVID19, and left after giving us their card and best wishes. I no longer recommend them. Used them previously, no problems at all, but they couldn't replace, or fix (actually) my bathroom sink? Told me to purchase a new faucet set which I didn't need to spend the extra dollars on. Made me wait six weeks. They stood me up twice and walked out on my twice. Are You Kidding Me? What kind of plumbers are these two fellas? I guess its not true that no job is too big or small. They don't have the cajones to say that they can't, or won't, do the job. Find someone else. She made it very difficult for me to set up an appointment once I finally scheduled an appointment with her I re-decided and used another company Instead I'm sad that I feel I cannot use this service any longer. Although they are quick to respond with same day service, I now question whether their plumbers have any idea what they are doing. I called because I had a pool of water under my kitchen sink that turned out to be the dishwasher drainage hose coming loose and spewing water all over the cabinet. The guy said it was a simple clamp that took 5 minutes to fix and didn't even charge me. Nice right? Well, immediately after that repair, my dishwasher would not drain after a wash. My dishwasher had worked perfectly up until that day. I called them to come back and look at it again, because something was clearly wrong, but they refused to even come look, stating it was an appliance repair, which they don't do. I then called Alliance Appliance, and Bill took one look under the sink and pointed out that the dishwasher hose had been wrongly connected to the garbage disposal. He connected it to the air gap where it belonged and the drainage problem was solved. I wish I could remember the name of the guy from Day Night who originally hooked it up incorrectly. He clearly doesn't know what he's doing. read more
